Excellent breakfast and very nice and helpful staff,

The Spa: We were very, very disappointed to find that despite booking for 4 nights, we were only allowed one free swim for the duration of our stay. Thereafter the swims alone were hugely expensive, 15 euros for an hour and the available spa treatments were also ridiculously expensive - 90 euros for a massage and 120 euros for a rose petal facial! We booked the hotel fully expecting to use the Spa every night but considered it far too expensive given that we were residents.

I stayed at the Villa Olimpica for about a month for work. The staff were super friendly and as I was traveling alone, provided an extra sense of security for me. I loved the pool - it was absolutely perfect on a hot summer Barcelona day, and I loved knowing that if I didn't want to eat dinner out, I could have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel for a moderate costs. Breakfasts were lush with pour-your-own cava, unexpectedly good pizza for lunch is recommended, and most of the dinner options were pretty solid. The staff were kind and helpful about navigating the city. I was in a suite, which was great for my month stay, and I loved that there was a real shower, a separate bath, and a bidet. Rooms were cleaned on a normal schedule (hooray) by trustworthy staff. The spa was pretty relaxing and solid, and a real unexpected benefit.

While I was there, the AC in the workout room was broken. I also did not like that there was not a reliable place to fill up a water bottle with tap water. That's pretty much it.

Location is not as good as I had hoped. A little off the beaten track with not much around us and a fair walk to beach or city centre. But the hotel itself was very good with good facilities and excellent breakfast. Quite the little oasis compared to the surrounding area.

I seem to have gathered a few insect bites (my wife too) while we slept.

The dinner menu in my opinion was poor and not meet my expectations.

The entire staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Their behavior was excellent!

The rooms are not very big, and the bathroom at the entrance is a bit unpleasant

I really loved the buffet breakfast, it was the favorite part of my morning even though I didn't opt into all inclusive. Fresh meats, breakfast foods like eggs, onions, sausage, cereals, fruit + coffee, tea and juices, all delicious! The spa was wonderful as well, knowing I had a relaxing 90 min bath every day was really enjoyable.

I felt some staff could have been more helpful, but they may have just been straightforward with their answers, I managed just as well in any case. The location is probably not ideal for first-time tourists to Barcelona. Expect to either spend more time at the hotel for relaxation, or plan to have some sort of transport (car, bike/e-bike, metro are available) to get you around town, as you're not super walking-close to destination such as La Rambla (though the beach itself is a 20 min walk south)

The property has tons of amenities that were included in the price. It made our stay wonderful!

Barcelona in general doesn’t feel safe to travel, especially if you’re traveling solo.

We arrived 730am after34 hour flight from Australia. I wish I could remember her name but the lady working sat 27 May was amazing. I had accidentally booked a single room instead of a suite for 2. She found us two and suggested we choose a certain one as it was much quieter and I mentioned I had a migraine. The Pakistani security guy was also wonderful with suggestions and directions and a friendly smile. The pool was refreshing after a hot Barca day and the breakfast delicious

Shame no shampoo / conditioner

The Hotel is located in a very calm area of Barcelona but not too far away from the action. We only had to walk 10 minutes to reach the beach and about 25 min walking to reach more lively areas like "La Barcelonetta". Overall we really enjoyed the location. The Hotel had offered a very tasty and rich breakfast. But the best part about the Hotel was the Spa area. Free access was included in the room fare and we used all of it. Great selection of Saunas and the indoor pool was perfect due to the "cold" temperatures outside. We would definitely stay here again.

Not a lot that we could complain about. Only "negative" point was that you could smell the pool throughout the whole hotel.

Lovely, friendly staff who were happy to help and answer any questions I had. The bed was really comfortable and the hotel was clean overall. The breakfast options were great. I didn’t opt for breakfast to be included when I initially booked but I was able to add this in the mornings to be charged to my room. The spa area was good and a nice place to relax. It was a great stay overall and only a 30 walk from the Mar Bella beach area.

Like other hotels in the area it’s close to a bar/nightclub venue so slightly noisy at night. Ear plugs were provided in the room so it wasn’t too much of an issue for me.
