We loved the staff! Especially Tony on the night shift but all were so helpful and welcoming, the beds were very comfortable and great pillows! Loved the location, we walked downtown and to the wharf easily and no issues at all at night. They had a place to refill water bottles, great parking garage, very nice variety of food for breakfast and changed it slightly each day, loooved the barista machine in the lobby which included decaf, the pool was perfectly heated and enjoyed the hot tub after lots of walking. I wasn’t sure about not having AC but there was a ceiling fan in the room and we would open the good slightly on the balcony but would end up needing to close it with the cool night air. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated, will definitely stay here again!

Spacious room (and bathroom), comfortable beds and clean. Child’s cot quickly provided on request. Good location - quick access around Monterey/ Carmel, to the highway 1 and 101, and walkable to downtown and Aquarium. Trader Joe’s, Peets Coffee and few other food options and restaurants only short walk away. Room well equipped including fridge. Simple but adequate breakfast with hot and cold options provided. Complimentary underground parking provided.

Large tour group (2 coaches) also staying which meant the small breakfast room and lobby was overcrowded in the morning, and lots of noise late at night and first thing in the morning (soundproofing between floors poor which disturbed our sleep).

Good location, easily walkable to historic centre, waterfront and aquarium. Big room, huge bed, good parking. We were at front of hotel but road noise was never a problem.

Breakfast selection was adequate if not huge, but relied far too much on disposable single-use items including plates, cutlery, cups and many food items. Apples individually plastic wrapped ☹️. Time for Best Western to green up. Staff were polite but front desk seemed oddly reluctant to make eye contact... Could hear voices from neighbouring room, lucky we didn't have noisy folks there...

Our room was large with comfortable beds. The bathroom was slightly odd with the basin outside the bathroom but it wasn’t a problem. It was clean and well equipped.

The breakfast room was tiny (especially for a hotel with a large footprint) and we had to eat ours in the lobby which was not great. Also it was still served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. Covid restrictions are in the past and we were concerned about the environmental impact

Good location to see Monterey. Friendly and helpful staff, room and bathroom are very clean. American breakfast was okay, in Europe we are used to a European breakfast. Possibilities to make tea/coffee in the room or take it in the lobby.

It would be nice not to use paper plates and plastic knives/forks, but ‘normal’ dishware.

Beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom was spotless! Body wash & hair products readily available in the shower. Excellent media services on the tv. Plenty of coffee & creamer. Great location. Uber to cannery row only 10 mins, costs around $10 for a car for 6 people. Could definitely walk to old fisherman’s wharf.

Breakfast room was rather small for the amount of guests. No air conditioning in the room however there was a ceiling fan.

Room was large with plenty of luggage stands, chairs, and a bench to put our things. Parking access was very easy. The staff was extremely friendly. Coffee 24 hours a day in lobby. Centrally located - not quite walking distance to tourist area but only a short drive. Breakfast had a different type of eggs, breakfast meat, and potatoes each day, fruit, oatmeal, toast, english muffins, cereal, and plain yogurt.

The breakfast was just okay. Would have been great to have berries to go with the yogurt, and danishes daily. No pancakes or waffles. Hot food was usually almost gone so people could only take a little. A couple chairs on the balcony would be helpful.

We spent 3 nights here and it was very positive. Staff moved us to another room when I complained about crying baby and toddler in room above. Upgraded to a suite. Great hot breakfast with staff available to help out-dont forget to tip them. Staff from Monterey Fire Dept staying on site in case of local flood. Also was able to.walk to many restaurant options... nearby Thai restaurant great!

Overall great - I had a late check-in due to work and I was worried all the parking would be gone. Not to worry! They have two levels of garaged parking, the second which had many more spaces! Also one of the reasons I specifically booked this hotel was because I planned to have valuables/equipment in my vehicle (that were too large/cumbersome to bring into the hotel) and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff showing me they had cctv camera feeds of the garages they could view there at the desk as well as mentioning that local PD checked on the parking garages periodically through the night! I wouldn't hold the hotel responsible if a break-in occurred obviously but it still gave me great peace of mind they had these measures in place and I appreciated it. Aside from this aspect which was a major factor in my choice of hotel, the hotel staff was helpful, the room and common areas clean, a free simple but adequate hot breakfast with coffee and fruit was available and the walk from the hotel to the Old Fisherman's Wharf was a relaxed 15 min. or so walk along which there are many nice restaurants, shops, etc.

Hotel was a bit dated overall, and sound of other guests walking above our room was very audible though I didn't mind too much because I'm an early riser and was checking out that morning anyway. Also didn't have little things like usb ports available/smart tv but definitely not a deal breaker for me. I didn't get a chance to check out the hotel too much as I arrived late in the evening and checked out the next morning but the stay checked off all my boxes. I felt it was a little expensive for a 1 King Bed room though the room was more spacious than other properties' rooms from what I could tell. And what isn't expensive nowadays so based on the cost of other comparable hotel rooms for the same date, all things considered I was happy with the stay.

Huge bedroom. Good secure parking. Lovely staff. Nice breakfast. Lovely bed linen and towels. Iron and ironing board. Coffee/tea/water / ice availability in reception.

No shower gel. One inadequate member on reception but Alan was excellent and sorted out the problem ! Only 2 sunbeds round the pool
