Sandy & Marie are extremely friendly and supportive hosts! Even when we arrived late, Sandy invited us for a very good tea and a small evening meal. Even as a non-native speaker, Marie is easy to understand and takes the time to explain everything. Sandy gives great advice on exploring Scotland. And don't forget: Marie is a great cook and is happy to fulfill wishes - thank you for the great time!

There is actually no point of criticism. As a German with the habit of XXL beds, you can cuddle with your partner almost anywhere in Scotland - it's a historical fact. But is that a point of criticism? We don't think so :-)

Everything. Both Sandy and Marie were first class host, from the minute you step inside the house you are treated with the utmost respect and friendship. The breakfast was cooked perfectly each day and whatever you wanted. You have a large bedroom with plenty of space, large bathroom with bath and separate shower and exclusive use of your own lounge area with large tv and very comfortable seating. Both Sandy and Marie are friendly, informative, helpful and treat you as if you were family.

Absolutely nothing.

Friendly welcome and personal touches. Perfect hosts. Marie and Sandy gave us great recommendations of where to visit in Edinburgh based on what we like doing and we always available if we needed any help with anything. We had fruit and yoghurt followed by a tasty and freshly cooked breakfast every morning. The house is beautiful and the attention to detail in decor is perfect. The location is in a lovely quiet area with free parking and is ideal for getting to Edinburgh and the surrounding area by bus or tram. There was always a good cup of tea ready for us when we got in and we were allowed access to the kitchen to make our own if we wanted. We had a lovely big bedroom, lounge ,bathroom and dining area.. The shower was very powerful and hot. We were so well looked after and felt very relaxed whilst we were there. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie and Sandy and we were made to feel at home.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

We had a perfect stay, the accommodation and facilities were perfect, central to Edinburgh centre and the Murrayfield stadium, close to the station too! Our room was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need! What made our stay so special was Sandy and Marie. They were the perfect hosts and genuinely could not do enough for us. The communication before our stay was great, they were on hand to answer any questions and gave brilliant advice of where to go/how to get around etc. We were blown away by their wonderful service!! Thankyou we will definitely book again if we are in Edinburgh again!

It seemed like it was no effort on Marie's part to prepare the breakfasts exactly as requested, quality and quantity could not be faulted. We were made to feel like we were in our own home by the wonderful hosts. We will have no issues for our next visit to Edinburgh in booking with them again. We both feel as if we have made two new friends in Sandy & Marie

There was nothing to dislike

Exceptional hospitality by the lovely hosts. They welcomed us into their amazing home and made it ours for the weekend. Lovely 35 minute walk to the West end of Princes Street, down tree lined avenues and streets full of the beautiful and historical Edinburgh buildings, but good bus links if we chose not to walk. It was a big advantage having somewhere secure to park the car for the duration of our stay.

The accommodation is less en suite and more a suite. Bedroom, bathroom and living room, all of an excellent size and comfort. The couple owning the house are incredibly hospitable. In principle, it's a continental breakfast but Marie was delighted to cook something different daily and, on those few occasions I stayed in the house I was regularly plied with more tea and a few biscuits. If they were still up when I got in, we would talk about how our days had gone (with more tea, and offers of biscuits or even toast or sandwiches). I can't fault it.

Breakfast was excellent. Marie prepared our morning meal exactly as we requested. Sandy and Marie treated us as special guests. They drove us to local sites and treated us with an evening cocktail. Best experience ever at a B &B.

No complaints.

A quiet upmarket location, the house has lovely art deco features and the accommodation was spacious and private. Helpful, friendly hosts. Buses from outside house to town took 10minutes.

Although the hosts were very friendly and made us tea and coffee even when we came back late, we would have preferred a kettle in the room.

Quiet location, only a short walk (30 minutes into Princes St) if you don't want to take the bus. You get the use of the living room with a large TV, a bathroom with shower and bath as well as the bedroom, lots of space. Breakfast was great with many choices.

Can't think of anything.
