It was fun being surrounded by the grounds and stables of the riding club. There were people coming to enjoy their rides and we could share their enjoyment. The staff were all excellent - friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. Our room was good value for money - comfortable, clean, quiet.
An apple phone did not get along with the wifi. Not the hotel itself, but ... we had trouble finding dinner in the nearest town as we returned from a day out; perhaps it was late by local standards although not late :o) We got some snacks at a grocery store to tide us over - but then we got to eat the cherry pie at the lovely little lake adjacent to the b and b, so that was O.K.. Oh yes, I should add, dinner by the lake was excellent on our first night, so our mistake was to not make reservations for the second evening!

This hotel is fabulous! I often take little trips away, staying in various different hotels etc and this is definitely one of the best I've been in. I received a very warm welcome from the lady who owned it and was extremely helpful in showing me to my room personally which was a lovely touch. The room itself was gorgeous, really felt very luxurious and spacious. Overall, it was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel itself was set on beautiful grounds with an adjoining equestrian centre and only a 20 minute walk from local amenities. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, service was on point and there were several options to choose from. I had the pancake stack and these were delicious. I only stayed one night but I felt well looked after and it was like a home from home experience. If I was ever to find myself in Lanark again, this would be the only place I would stay. Great hotel and amazing hosts.
Only a couple of minor gripes. The shower cubicle was very small but luckily I don't take up much room. The door didn't close properly which resulted in a bit of a leak and the water pressure was slightly lacking but there's not a great deal that can be done about that I don't think. I actually hate to mention anything negative because my stay was not too far from perfect.

The accommodation rooms are beautifully furnished, the staff were really pleasant and helpful. The breakfast and coffee were delicious. We only realised on the morning after that we could have made use of the social space for drinks in the evening so we may well do this on another occasion. We would definitely return and would recommend the accommodation. I also have an intolerance to dairy which was catered for by there being soya milk provided - a lovely touch - many thanks!

Everything!! We had a warm welcome from Maureen, and she showed us the room. Beautifully decorated, lovely bedding, extremely comfy bed and pillows. Lovely touch with a fireplace in the room. There was Everything we could want. Great breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Maureen opened the Residents bar & brought nibbles, then left us to it, with an honesty slip of paper for what we had consumed.Great location, pity the weather was rainy most of the 2 days.
Nothing comes to mind.

Full Scottish breakfast, set me up for the day. Single room small but adequate for one person on a short stay. Oh and the bed ,I haven’t slept so well in years ,no waking up 2 or 3 times during the night and no back ache in the mornings.
There wasn’t anything I disliked . Rooms are clean, warm and very comfortable.staff are very friendly .

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Huge, delicious breakfast. Helped me call for cabs and took me to the train station when none was available. Conveniently located to visit New Lanark. Bonus friendly dog!
The room doors only have know locks, so not the highest security. The key tag is also very large and a little ungainly in your pocket, but I think that's deliberate so you can find the key if you drop it during riding.

Friendly staff, excellent location, nicely furnished, great variety for breakfast and very tasty. Housekeeping is excellent and a very comfy bed, short walk to Inn on the Loch where we were meeting up for a meal & family reunion
Couldn't fault it although we would have preferred a double bed we both had a good night's sleep

The location on the edge of Lanark near the Loch was very nice. The restaurant Inn on the Loch is strongly recommended. While we only stayed overnight on the way to the West Coast of Scotland, it would be great to spend a few days there, especially if you like horse riding. The only disappointment was that many of the places within the nearby historic village of New Lanark were still closed because of covid restrictions. As an economic historian I was looking forward to visiting the site created by Robert Owen, one of visionary industrialists of the early Industrial Revolution.
