The location of the hotel is without a doubt phenomenal. how can you beat that location ?. Didn`t have breakfast so no comment on that one. The room was sufficient, it was clean and comfortable with a tv and tea and coffee available.

Every step you take there are creaking floorboards on every floor. We were on the 4th floor and last night (09/04/2023) was horrendous trying to get to sleep thanks to the disrespectful and inconsiderate people on the 5th floor above us. All we could hear was loud mouthed parents and shouting kids up until 1.00 a.m ish and people running up and down the stairs all night long. Anybody reading this will know It`s them. Thank you for ruining our night. Overall though, We will stay here again without a doubt. I just hope The Grand Hotel puts huge posters in every room telling LOUD MOUTHED PARENTS to keep the noise down and respect other guests. I don`t blame the kids, I blame the parents.

Lovely location the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful on numerous occasions . One young lady on reception went above and beyond to help my 9 year old daughter with anything we needed , I wish I knew her name!! I am gluten intolerant and staff were very happy to accommodate my allergies and made sure I had a safe breakfast. We have just booked in for another short break and I’ve only been home a week !! Thank you staff at the Grand hotel for such a lovely stay and see you tomorrow!!

I have no complaints at all We loved the hotel

Room was a good size. The view with a balcony was beautiful. All the staff that I spoke to were very polite and very helpful with any questions and problems I had. I seen so many bad reviews about the grand hotel so decided to see for myself and to be honest we all actually really enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely stay.

There were quite a few stains on the walls (mostly hallways) and a bit of wear and tear but let's be honest that is to be expected with how old the hotel is. None of this effected our stay at all though as the walls in the actual rooms that we stayed in were completely fine. They are having some work done at this hotel so assuming they are working on sorting all this out.

Loved the location and the charm of the hotel and the amazing staff there who go above and beyond to help . I will be visiting for many years to come. I wish I could thank everyone personally. The lovely lady from the dining room where nothing was too much trouble to help. The best hotel receptionist who even undid my daughters knotted trainers, the friendly house keeping staff , I wish I knew all your names thank you for a lovely stay xx

It’s a great hotel

The hotel is well situated overlooking the main beach and close to the city centre and only 10 min from the train station which is great. It is just by the pier, close to the tram to the Great Orme also. Great views on the sea if you have a sea view room. The hotel is a little old which is not easy to maintain but our room looked very clean and had everything we needed. We saw though there was no car park, street parking only which will cost you money. One of the reception staff stood out from the rest, she is the one who checked us in to room 123, she was lively, seemed to enjoy her job and willing to provide the best service to the guests, helped us with directions and with ordering a taxi.

Nothing.

Staff were very friendly from reception to maids, location was right where we needed for all amenities. I found it very clean and had everything we needed. A little dated but I’d say it has character. As long as it’s clean that’s the main thing.

The one thing that I found that was a thumbs down in the room was the shower, the shower head kept moving and sprayed the wall so was hard to get a shower, was fine once not attached to the holder and just held. You do hear the doors slamming shut but it was nothing major, if you’re a light sleeper then you may hear it more.

The whole experience and atmosphere we absolutely loved to bits.We stayed for four nights and I wasn't expecting much to be honest after reading and watching the reviews of this hotel but I found it to be very clean, bright, the staff were all friendly and helpful. No issues with the facilities. We ventured all over the grounds, was so exciting! Even sat on the balcony ,watching the world go by.

In all honesty, there was 2 tiny, minor issue. Which was the sheets and towels on the landings, on their trolleys. At least they were fresh though! Just kind of spoiled the feeling for me a tiny bit but like I said not major. Everything else we really loved. Will definitely stay there again. Also on one floor,on the other side of the hotel. There was a massive crack running down the hallway wall. The win was incredibly strong that evening and made the wall look as though it was breathing, was also quite breezy along there. Which was so worrying, especially for anyone who had a room facing there. I'm sure they will get it all repaired soon and learn that filler won't fix that.

Used this hotel as a cheap stop over but have truthfully paid more and been far more disappointed . Was checked in by a lovely lady who was extremely helpful and given a fabulous room that had the most amazing views of Llandudno and the pier, it was clean and spacious admittedly basic but still had a very comfortable night with everything we needed. I think people need to be more realistic about their expectations and the price they pay as it had everything we needed followed by a good night’s sleep a good all you could eat breakfast. Would stay quite happily again .

People who pay cheap but expect 5 star the staff were lovely helpful and friendly , it’s an old hotel not a boutique property!

The attention to our 'special request' this was much appreciated.

the 'breakfast option' was not made clear on Booking.Com website. We thought we could buy breakfast at the hotel (if we changed our mind) when we had checked in we went to book breakfast later in the evening and were told that the 'lower price' of £9.95 was only available 'at check in time' afterwards it would be £12.00 (reception staff had told us that we could buy breakfast at any time during the evening) Manager did allow us to purchase at £9.95 'on this occasion' but was reluctant - we would have booked at check in has it been made absolutely clear.
