Lovely comfortable room. Looked like had been recently decorated , as clean and modern but at the same time retained the style of the old building . Perfect for me. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially the lady at breakfast who only had me to look after at 8am ! I met my parents and ate in the restaurant at night , the food was perfect really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere was nice, very dog friendly pub feel :) . The breakfast was great , good variety and high quality ingredients. Big plus point for me was the coffee, proper coffees were included - i had a nice cappuccino. Very happy with stay and will use again when in that area.

Everything about the Barn Owl Inn was wonderful. The room was clean, spacious, lovely tea and coffee maker, little touches ,such as some biscuits left for us and a lovely rose decoration in the bathroom, made us feel like valued guests. Breakfast was delicious. We also ate with friends one evening and the food was really top quality and so tasty. Staff were courteous, nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel so welcome. We couldn't fault it!!

Our room looked newly decorated and was very clean, cosy and fairly quiet. There are mains and USB sockets on both sides of the bed. The bed itself is nice and firm. We also had lunch at the pub downstairs and it was amazing! Probably, the best Sunday roast I've ever had!

The water in the shower didn't go down properly and leaked on the floor. We have told the receptionist about it, so hopefully it'll get sorted soon. The hotel is a bit far from the town centre, but the price reflects that.

The Staff were all absolutely lovely and really helpful, extremely attentive, and calm when I'm sure they were busy. The Gentleman who took us to our room reminded me to book a table for dinner and book our breakfast which was so lovely so I didn't have to think of anything. The Inn and room must be the cleanest place I have ever stayed , absolutely exceptional. Unfortunately we had to leave after only spending 24hours as our Autistic daughter was not coping without us ,but our night at The Barn Owl was so lovely we felt lucky to have had the time we did. Thank you to everyone for making our very little break perfect.

The Barn Owl Inn looks like it has recently undergone a full refurbishment - the room was very clean and well appointed, and the pub/restaurant were exceptional. The food was very good too - I came down to breakfast to find an abundance of cereals, fruit, juices, yoghurts, croissants and jams, and condiments, and this was before the full English - all freshly cooked, with a couple of perfectly poached eggs.....I certainly didn't need to stop for lunch later that day!

Some more locally produced craft beers would have been nice

We enjoyed our stay at the Barn Owl inn, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant, it really as very tasty indeed.

The room was spotlessly clean but it was a little bit small, as was the shower and while I wasn’t expecting a view we did look out on an air conditioning unit which just rumbled on all night long. It was quite a warm night but it was far too noisy to open the window so we didn’t have the best sleep.

breakfast was hot served will a smile and nothing was too much trouble like all the staff one guy who i sadly didnt get his name and the manage in fact everyone

dont think anything maybe sunday lunch would have been nice to have meat not turkey as a choice and large plates or sounds crazy but smaller potions

The Barn Owl has been beautifully restored and decorated. Our room was painted in soft grey with beige carpets - very trendy. The bathroom was fine too with a soft blue light that came on automatically when you visited in the middle of the night - a very good touch. Beds were very comfy with excellent pillows. The only slight downside was the view over the swimming pool manufacturers and roofing firm. But they are to the side and you couldn't hear them at all. In fact, we heard nothing. No noise from the very busy bar/restaurant, no slamming of car doors and cheerful good-nights. Btw, the food was very good. And elderly gentleman next us made a point of telling the waiter that his was the best meal he had ever had in a restaurant 'and I'm 89' he said. He had the hunters chicken, I think. Breakfast was certainly very good - perfect poached egg which is not easy. And the staff were all friendly and efficient. All in all, the Barn Owl is a great little pub/restaurant/hotel.

from the first step through the front door we both loved this pub/hotel. The whole place had an ambience which enthralled us. the decor and the way they had a lovely farmhouse theme throughout was a topic of conversation every room we went in downstairs in the pub and restaurant. The room we stayed in, Pheasant, was superbly decorated and spotless. The food we had on two nights was also superb, and the breakfast cooked to order was superb. Don’t think twice about staying here, or you will regret it!

there is absolutely nothing to dislike.

The room was clean and well equipped, with good heating and a comfortable bed . Breakfast was an optional extra, a choice of cereal and cooked breakfast, which was a generous size and very tasty. The Barn Owl is also a popular restaurant, with bar.

Over the five night stay, the room service was haphazard, sometimes the bed was made up, but not always, although the room was attended daily.
