The room was very large and comfortable. The view of the loch and the hills was brilliant. All of the staff were friendly professional. Got to give a big well done to the kitchen staff as all the food was exceptional. This was an absolutely fantastic find. We will definitely be going back even if its just so i can cycle around the Loch and manage to go for a swim in it.

Didnt like the fire alarm going off at 4am. Wasn't over keen on being disturbed by house keeping as we didn't have a do not disturb sign. ( didn't know they actually had some)

Excellent continental or cooked breakfast with wide choice of menu. Pity we couldn’t stay longer as would have tried eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine. Delicious menu for both nights in the Wild Brownie Bar. with a lovely bottle of Malbec. Very attentive friendly and polite hard working staff who attended to our every need without being intrusive. Thank you to Annette, Janu the flamboyant Maitre D’ in the amazing suits and shoes and young William. Our room was immaculate, fresh and beautifully decorated. Full marks to the room service staff. Loved the outside table and chairs overlooking the beautiful Loch for an after dinner drink. Swimming pool and sauna excellent. Great reassurance to have our own bike locked away safely with the gentleman who organises the bike rental facility. Even I managed to cycle from the hotel to Rannoch Train Station. The tea room at the Station is closed Thursday and Friday. However, an honesty plate allowed us to boil a kettle for coffee or opt for a can of cold drink with a choice of much needed biscuits. More than happy to leave a generous donation on the counter as we didn’t have change.

There was nothing to dislike.

Firstly, this is a good hotel and with a few tweaks, it could be an excellent one. The staff shine and, as previously commented, they cannot do enough for guests. The location is breathtaking and each morning brought a new view. Kinloch Rannoch resort also deserves high praise for cleanliness as we didn’t observe a single piece of litter. Rooms are well appointed and bed linen/towels were clean and fresh. Coffee/tea/ water in the room every day was greatly appreciated. Real fires great in the lounge and reception areas - especially at this time of year. State room dining was lovely and food was always good. Bar food available. Breakfast also plentiful.

We upgraded to a deluxe room but not sure what the difference was as it appeared most rooms have a Loch view. The en-suite was tired and required updating (a big plus was the light up magnifying mirror!). The spa is in a separate building and facilities looked to be in need of a refurb. I would also imagine a struggle with space at busy times. As guests of the hotel it’s not great to arrive at the spa to find a pound coin is required for lockers. It would help if these were just lockable by code perhaps. It’s accepted that costs have surged, but price point for food we felt a little on high side, although it’s understandable with the remoteness of the location.

Beautiful hotel, peaceful location, we had massages at the spa which were excellent. Lots of opportunities for some great walks Plenty of parking too. The bedroom was immaculate and bed incredibly comfortable.

It felt like the hotel is understaffed, lots of rushing around when it comes to meal times, often had to stand awkwardly to wait to get seated. Menu could do with some health conscious options and lunch menu felt expensive for what it was. No real alternatives available nearby so some light lunch options would be great. There was also a lot of confusion over my bill. Twice I had to confirm my stay was pre-paid and there was a charge added to my room that wasn't mine. Recommend getting guests to sign when charging to the room to prevent this.

Lovely big room and comfortable bed. Beautiful view of the Loch. Excellent meal in the Estate room! We really enjoyed our three night stay here…as did our son and partner who stayed for two nights. Just feel the hotel was let down by my comments below! Breakfasts excellent.

The steam room wasn’t working at all and the sauna wasn’t even hot at 3.30 pm despite the fact it was supposed to be on at 3pm? For a hotel of this size I find it hard to believe it isn’t on all day! Let’s the hotel down! Our room hadn’t been serviced at 4pm on our third day. Staff appeared to have been working hard so I’m not blaming them….and they brought me clean towels and some tea and milk when I asked. Again poor management….I appreciate the hotel was busy but maybe they should have stent the 5/10 minutes required to do our room first thing? Obviously not enough staff?.? Also feel you need a more extensive menu in the Wild Brownie.

The Browny restaurant is great, steam room and Sauna, reasonable pool. Great lounge that serves food for lunch as well.

The room was wickedly small, even though we booked a x25 room, we got a x18 room, and staff said no way to change, even though our friends left theirs and we could have moved. Also - The Estate restaurant were a bit on a bread budget. We asked for more bread and they refused - and also stressed the staff. Room service almost skipped, but came eventually at 6:30 pm. It was a busy weekend so I assume this was tough for them. Carpets, elevators, furniture - are getting older. Time to use the hotel in town, which is brand new.

It was my 60th birthday and I was greeted with happy birthday at breakfast. Fernando is an amazing person. Always smiling. Love the shoes. Service and food excellent. Thanks to George for the geography lesson!! May visit your homeland. The hotel is clean and set in the most breathtaking place. So quiet and tranquil. The staff we all very helpful. We used the pool, steam room sauna and gym. My son caught a few fish in the loch. If uou are looking for a place to relax I would high recommend this hotel.

The WiFi was not too great. Even phone signal was weak. Guess even the mountains wanted the outside world switched off.

The staff in the main hotel were all very helpful and happy when we passed them. We had great banter with the gentleman wearing bright suits each morning/evening and he even helped out our game of scrabble. The games were great and I learned the basics of chess during my stay! The location is beautiful we spent everyday outdoors walking, cycling, paddling and then relaxing in the sauna/steamroom after, ideal.

We hoped to book spa treatments during our stay and after climbing Schiehallion but were not certain which day this would be. After our climb we tried to arrange this but couldn't find staff members and due to limited WiFi area the email didn't send until the following day and when we got a reply it was offering an appointment the evening we were leaving. As some of the activities are weather dependant it can be hard to plan in advance but booking on site is rather difficult. My only criticism.

I’ll admit, when I drove up to the hotel the outside looked okay. But step inside and you can see the hard work and investment in providing its guests with a stay to remember. We were welcomed by a very lovely lady at reception. The room was outstanding, not only spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated but it was large and roomy with an amazing view. I sat and took it all in for about a hour, beautiful. The restaurant facilities were fabulous, food was delicious. The staff work so hard I was in awe of them. Just make sure you book or you could be disappointed. Not only were the restaurant/ bar facilities great but we were entertained during the evening by a singer, such a bonus. What a wonderful experience. I can’t recommend them enough. I will definitely return, but for a longer stay next time.

The pool facilities could do with a little investment, changing facilities etc but the pool was warm and clean. A lovely dip is just what you need after a day of walking.

Excellent breakfast and food in the bar restaurant Lots of choice for breakfast Enjoyed the snooker and pool room and the table games in the lounge area were fun Plenty of parking Spa although a little dated was clean and had good opening times Spacious bed with fresh smelling bedding Nice quality tea/coffee in the bedroom

Shower water pressure was poor Bed could have had a thicker mattress topper on to cover the join in the middle Toilet bowl could have been cleaner Busy through traffic outside the front, noticeable when sat out enjoying the sun at the tables Perhaps an option for pizza or a couple of takeaway food items for an evening you might not want to dine in the restaurant
