The food in this house hotel was on a different level. I ordered steak pieces. The consistency with the cooking was perfect. My pieces of steak were perfectly medium in every piece. A perfect portion size to enjoy the magnificent flavours. The Greek yougart dish for breakfast was in a league of its own and pieces of battered haggis with a petit drink that worked magnificently together. The food was 100% The fantastic, relaxed house hotel's pace was refreshing with metal sculptures in the well looked after gardens. Great location for visiting castles and other local attractions like the local museum. Perfect for a weekend escape. Highly recommend this establishment.

Had no WiFi to my knowledge available, yet it was great not relying on your phone to fill time. We enjoyed he relaxation even more and I read a few times.

The location was great and the staff excellent. The owner suggested places to visit and was spit on. Had a lovely day out. When we arrived the room we had booked had a leaky shower so we were upgraded to a better room! Can’t complain about that - it was lovely, very comfortable and very well equipped. Restaurant was great and meals very reasonably priced.

Beautiful, peaceful location. Exceptionally dog friendly. Early check in with a warm welcome. Felt immediately relaxed and at home. Room was spacious and comfy and nicely decorated. The food was out of this world - so delicious. All the staff were lovely. We will definitely be back.

Staff and new owners could not have been more helpful, attentive and courteous. Chef was excellent because the food was delightful. Fresh produce from the garden was used in the menus and fresh flowers adorned the sitting areas and bar.

Paulo and his family were very very welcoming made to feel relaxed from the moment we walked in couldn’t do enough.Bedroom was amazing as was the rest of the hotel.We had evening meal and breakfast both exceptional.Hopefully we will get chance to go back soon.Thank you for making the last day of our break away the best Shirley and Ally

All the food was superb, the cooked breakfast was the best I've ever had. Everything is cooked to order and to your own choice. The team were very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.

There was nothing that I didn't like. The weather was on the cool side but that's why it's so green.

Lovely big room and bathroom with view over the garden and river. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.

A lift would have been good for my husband but quite understand how there couldnt have been one.

Beautiful location next to the river. Fabulous vegetable garden supplying fresh produce for the kitchen. Good food. Well located for visiting Dumfries house. Dog friendly.

Blackaddie House is comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The chef is excellent. The dinner and breakfast were the highlight of our stay.

It was not possible to get a wifi connection in our room. The staff were not able to fix the problem.I had to tether my mobile phone to get to the internet. At the price of this hotel, and in this day and age, that should not be necessary.
