We flew in from Oslo, Norway via Reykjavik, Iceland, so it was a long day. We got into O'Hare too late to make our respective connecting flights, so we had to spend the night. The convenience of just having to take a short ride on the train and come up the elevator to the hotel was ideal. The room was nice, clean - comfortable; the bar/food area that evening was also up to par. The food was very good, the bartenders were friendly and welcoming. It made for a very pleasant - and relaxing - return to the states.

The convenience of the hotel cannot be beat - I do think it was a bit pricey; not so much that it impacted our stay. Truthfully given the same set of circumstances upon our return to the states from Europe, I would still use this property.

Perfect location for a Stopover before a flight the next day. We flew in from Washington, didn't even have to leave the airport. 5-10 minute walkway straight to the Hotel which was much appreciated with the freezing cold temperatures outside. Was a little early for check in so we had a lovely meal in the Sports Bar. Staff at Reception and in the Sports Bar were friendly and helpful. Room was a good size with a good size double bed and very clean.

Nothing.

After being stranded in Chicago by American Airlines who seemed to care less, the person at the front desk saved the day by being helpful, cheerful, and upbeat, I wish I would have remembered her name. I arrived around 10:00 PM on Friday night, she was an African American woman, probably in her 50s, please let her know she made my day.

While having dinner at the restaurant, someone, an obvious transvestite, tried to force his/her way on to the seat next to me. The situation which could have gotten out of hand was handled quickly by the security guard and waitress which I appreciated.

This hotel il located literally in the middle of the airport surrounded by all the terminals. It's easy to get there via air-train or just to walk from your arrival terminal. It's all about the location... I arrived 11PM from Europe and had to continue my journey to Dallas 6AM next morning so I din'n want to bother with logistical hustle to get away and back with a short stay at another hotel.

Because of it's unique location the hotel is obviously overpriced. However, considering the options it still made sense to stay there. The building itself is beginning to wear out and would need refreshing repairs.

The front desk staff - there was a man - was very rude when I was checking in to the hotel. I had just had a very long and tiring flight from New Jersey after several cancellations and a lot of running around. He was not at all courteous and was very snappy. I had told him I have a reservation and showed him the voucher. He, very rudely, handed the phone back to me, and said Have I asked for it as yet? Please don’t be oversmart. That is no way to speak to a guest. Also, I was told over the phone that the breakfast is a buffet and saw it was A La Carte.

If you are looking for the convenience of having a hotel almost attached to the airport, then this is your choice. There are several properties nearby Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, but this is the only hotel literally steps away from the airport (specifically Terminal 2). The hotel also has 3 restaurants onsite. Andiamo had a pretty good breakfast selection. Sports Edition Bar was perfect to unwind from a late night flight (note though that it closes at 12am though). And Gaslight Club offers fine dining and lets you relive the glory of the 1920's accompanied by live music. I never thought an airport hotel would have so many choices for food and entertainment.

The hotel is obviously dated. I researched and found that it was built in 1971 and last renovated in 2006. Thus, the rooms do feel old. Also, some people will definitely find this property pricy compared to the other hotels near the airport that offer better value for accommodations. Note though that you are paying for the convenience of being at the airport which is why I understand the higher room rates. Convenience normally does come at a price.

I had to stay over due to weather problems around the area that canceled many flights. I broke a glass makeup bottle in the bathroom and I really appreciated that housekeeping responded expediently to clean the spill and glass up.. also, the two young women at the desk for check-in and check-out were very friendly and patient in spite of all the travelers who were upset about their flights, which should be appreciated. I also appreciated that the servers at the sports bar were all so calm and friendly; they all were very hard-working.

The lounge chair in my room 7046 had no remaining cushion so the seat sunk down in a rather uncomfortable manner. I happen to like to sit in a comfy chair to read (or in this case, wait on the phone to get an airline agent to rebook my ticket...), and so the issue was notable.

The location is unbeatable as it is the only hotel directly linked to the terminals at ORD. That is a huge advantage, especially given the weather extremes of Chicago.

The bedrooms badly need refurbishing: scratched wooden surfaces, tired dull decor, no usb sockets, bathroom out of the 1980s. The price can only be justified by the location, not by the room quality.

The room was lovely, it was cool to my liking. The location at the airport was convenient for our return flight. The airport itself was efficient and well directed.

I had difficulty reaching the front desk, too much automated questions and answers and disconnections. I was unable to reach the concierge in the evening to call a car service, and the front desk, when they finally answered kept sending me back to the concierge. The end result was that we were stranded a half an hour away from the hotel and had to find someone to assist us in getting back.😠

You absolutely can't beat the location at this hotel! We had an early morning flight, and it was so nice to roll out of bed and just hop on the airport train to Terminal 5. When we first arrived, our room was unbearably hot - so staff sent up a powerful fan to help cool it down quickly, which we appreciated! Definitely worth staying at for travel.
