Hilton Chicago O'Hare Airport

The location, proximity to the airport terminal.

The front desk staff - there was a man - was very rude when I was checking in to the hotel. I had just had a very long and tiring flight from New Jersey after several cancellations and a lot of running around. He was not at all courteous and was very snappy. I had told him I have a reservation and showed him the voucher. He, very rudely, handed the phone back to me, and said Have I asked for it as yet? Please don’t be oversmart. That is no way to speak to a guest. Also, I was told over the phone that the breakfast is a buffet and saw it was A La Carte.

I had to stay over due to weather problems around the area that canceled many flights. I broke a glass makeup bottle in the bathroom and I really appreciated that housekeeping responded expediently to clean the spill and glass up.. also, the two young women at the desk for check-in and check-out were very friendly and patient in spite of all the travelers who were upset about their flights, which should be appreciated. I also appreciated that the servers at the sports bar were all so calm and friendly; they all were very hard-working.

The lounge chair in my room 7046 had no remaining cushion so the seat sunk down in a rather uncomfortable manner. I happen to like to sit in a comfy chair to read (or in this case, wait on the phone to get an airline agent to rebook my ticket...), and so the issue was notable.

The room was lovely, it was cool to my liking. The location at the airport was convenient for our return flight. The airport itself was efficient and well directed.

I had difficulty reaching the front desk, too much automated questions and answers and disconnections. I was unable to reach the concierge in the evening to call a car service, and the front desk, when they finally answered kept sending me back to the concierge. The end result was that we were stranded a half an hour away from the hotel and had to find someone to assist us in getting back.😠

Its an airport hotel. Location is perfect. easily accessible from all the main terminals via underground walkway. It is quite expensive but you are literally 4 min walk from the terminal. Rooms are big and had a darkening curtains for all you jet-lagged quests. Excellent restaurant in the ground floor.

Had a weird noise in the room that did not let me sleep. found out it was the refrigerator. had to unplug it. It has no EU sockets in the room. I now it seems a bit odd request but the other 3 hotels we stayed at in the trip all had these universal wall plug you could plug anything into.

Excellent breakfast, though the addition of couple of vegetables could have been good. Nice and efficient waiters. Very clean and functional. Location is excellent - walking distance from terminal.

Breakfast - everything is brought by waiters. Even water. Waisted a lot of time waiting for a cup of water. Not enough light in the rooms, but this is a general problem in Hilton hotels. Door cannot be stuck and keeps on coming at you, so trying to go out from the room, alone, with multiple suitcases is not that easy and might end with you heating your face with the door ;).

I needed a room for a very early departure, and the location is perfect for such circumstances. The room was excellent—spacious and comfortable—and it was surprisingly quiet. The hotel acknowledged by email my need for a late arrive (I got there about midnight), and check-in was very quick.

It's expensive, and I would normally opt for one of the outlying hotels with a shuttle service. For me, it would be only worth the price in these very special circumstances (late arrival, early departure). But if you're better-heeled than I am, so that cost isn't an issue, it's probably the best option at or around O'Hare.

Check in staff were over and above friendly and kind - it was nice after a terrible experience at the airport.

The price was high for the room, but I understand they can charge as much as they want when desperate people from the airport who lost their flights need a room badly. I was a single woman traveling alone and not comfortable venturing into Chicago for another option. I was grateful the hotel was within walking distance, and I felt very safe at the hotel.

Since we were staying after our layover was rescheduled to the morning and because we didn't want to go too far from the airport, we decided to stay at O'Hare and it was an excellent stay. Place was quiet, room was spacious, clean, one of the nicer hotels I've been to in general. Breakfast was also pretty good, and there was wifi and comfortable beds to sleep in which was the most important part to us. 10-15 minute walk away from getting through security at the airport which was the biggest draw.

It was quite late at night (around 1:30am) so our check-in process was a little slow, as there was a group in front of us trying to get a room. That was fine though since normally I believe the process would be much faster, just got stuck in a queue.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is literally at the airport and a super short walk to check-in. Very convenient for international travel and then quick hop over in the morning for my flight out west. The room was very quiet considering its right across the street from the airport.

The hotel is pretty dated and a bit pricey. Even snacks at the Hilton convenience store were pricey -- $20 for a beer and humis and pretzels.

The shuttle driver at the concierge desk was amazing. I wish I remembered his name. When I asked the concierge for directions to the rental cars, the concierge explained how to get there on the train. I mentioned we had a lot of heavy luggage and the shuttle driver overheard me and offered to take me and my daughter over to the rental car area. This saved us a lot of time and we did not have to struggle with our luggage getting it from the hotel over to the train.

The bathroom did not have a fan so the mirror fogged up when we showered.
