The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing! I didn’t realize when booking our room that it didn’t have air conditioning, it is very early in the season and usually it would not be needed. We were very lucky to get a gorgeous day in May. They moved us immediately to another room! Every person we came in contact with during our stay went above and beyond! They handled our luggage so we didn’t have to deal with it on the island. I am glad we stayed and already are planning to stay again next year!

Location is great! Well within walking distance to main attractions. We stayed in the cottage. Breakfast was decent, good variety for continental. Cleaning and kitchen staff very nice. The cottage balcony is wonderful, very nice views. Morning staff was very friendly. Bedding clean and comfortable.

Gap under door to hallway, bathroom floor stained, only chair in room had stains on it. Mattress is very firm. Blind over balcony door doesn't quite cover the glass. Arrived about 2 hours after check in, the girls at the desk were not very friendly

I loved that everything was really clean. I loved the view of the courtyard. I loved the layout of the room, when traveling with a baby it was nice. The breakfast was great. I enjoyed renting the bikes from the hotel, it made things much easier.

The only downfall, and it’s being knit picky. We had to call down to get more towels and bedding for the sofa bed. It was just a minor inconvenience. If you need more then 2 towels ask in advance!

From the cleanliness of our rooms, to breakfast service, to the fast, efficient bike porters, the staff was wonderful. The rooms were cleaned daily, breakfast had many choices and the luggage service was on point! The hotel was on the main road and it was very easy to walk to from the ferry. The front porch had very comfortable seating for reading, phone calls or just hanging out.

I did not like the location of the room- back of the hotel. The walls were very thin, I could hear all the late night/early morning revelers come back into their rooms. While I love to hear people having a great time on their vacation, I don't like to hear them at 2am. Children running up and down the hallway before 7am on the weekend didn't allow for a leisurely sleep in. Please note: ***This complaint is levied at the building NOT at the guests or the staff. *** I just did not feel that the price of the room reflected the quality of the room.

It was clean and comfortable. The location was within walking distance of the main downtown shops and restaurants. Nice breakfast buffet included.

Room numbers and locations in the different buildings was a little confusing; but, made sense by the end of our 1-night stay. They could add room number signs at stairways/hallway ends: (2100-2110 —>, etc.)

Breakfast was great. Loved the variety and fresh fruit. The balcony in our room was very nice - just wish it would have been warmer to enjoy it more.

TV in our room was poor - very dark and hard to watch some stations especially when it was daylight. We didn't watch tv too much, so didn't report it while staying there. Lots of stairs - loved our room, but next time would stay in lower level.

The location was perfect as far as walkability from the ferry. Shopping opportunities and eateries were just as easily walkable without steep hills. Really loved the breakfast and the ability to converse at breakfast in the intimate dining setting. Loved the historical feel and story of the inn and grounds.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was outstanding!! Clean room and nice view from our balcony. They also get your bags to and from your room for you, which was a nice touch after having to ask for some assistance from the previous more expensive hotel we stayed at.

It is a bit of a hike uphill to some of the rooms, so if you have any physical limitations let the staff know so they can book you into an appropriate section of the hotel.

The style and motif matched the history but no comforts were spared for guests. The outside lounge areas and views great. Loved the availability of coffee, tea, iced water 24 hours. The free continental breakfast was amazing.

Minor really, stairs are harder to climb the older we get, however an elevator doesn’t match the style/era.

Inn is wonderful. Great location. Breakfast contained a wide selection of items all fresh and delicious. Coffee bar in the lobby was appreciated. And the efficient handling of our luggage to and from the ferry was SUPERB! For decades, we used to stay at another lovely inn on the opposite side of town. However, it was good to try someplace new. So glad we did. Many more amenities at Hatbour Inn. Would definitely return in the future.
