This hotel complex was great for our family. The property is on Lake Huron with plenty of beach and lake views to enjoy. The outdoor pool was great...so fun. The breakfast was very good; lots of choices and plenty of places to dine. The room we had appeared to be in an older part of the hotel and so the rooms were a bit smaller than the average newer hotel room. The bathroom was very tight. But the beds were comfortable and all parts of the hotel complex were clean and in good repair. The staff were very friendly and good at their jobs. We would return again but might book one of the larger units in what appears to be the newer part of the hotel complex. And we loved, loved, loved the outdoor pool....please keep that. There is an indoor pool also, but the vibe is so relaxing outside and the view is beautiful.

The hotel room we had, which looked to be in the older part of the complex was a bit small. Double beds instead of queens and the bathroom was very tight. A bit small for 2 adults and 1 child.

Room was very nice and clean...bed was small for a double bed and very hard mattress....breakfast was PHENOMENAL!!! There was so much to choose from and all tasted great! Sid was awesome..he pucked us up and drove us to breakfast and took us back to our room when we were done. He was very friendly and cheerful...we enjoyed the conversation with him....and him transporting us up to breakfast was very much appreciated!!! He provides a great service!!!!

The mattress was small for a double bed and very firm to sleep comfortably on.

Location was great, right on the Lake Huron shore and we had a large balcony overlooking the lake. It was very peaceful and relaxing to sit and enjoy the view. The hotel is very convenient to the ferry service to the Island and not far from restaurants. Casino is close, if that interests you. We had breakfast each morning and the ladies that worked the breakfast room did an amazing job of keeping the place clean and all the food items filled.

The only hiccups in the whole trip were that the Coke machine in our building didn’t work and took our money (promptly refunded at the desk), and that the hotel had not yet received their allotment of discounted tickets for the ferry but that no fault of theirs and not a big deal.

We loved our stay! Located right on lake Huron which is just steps away. Mackinac Island is a 15 minute boat ride away. Our room had a balcony with a partial lake view. The room exceeded our expectations. Spacious, updated, and very clean. In fact, the entire property is well-maintained including common areas. Fantastic indoor pool and the free breakfast included a variety of hot/cold choices that were continuously stocked by hospitality. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay memorable in the best way! I cannot emphasize enough how cheerful and very helpful they all were. 3 adults traveling with 2 children under the age of 5. Highly recommend and we will be back!

The only negative would be lodging is separate from reception/indoor pool/breakfast lounge. Something for a traveler to keep in mind when it is raining/snowing and the cold winds blow inland off Lake Huron 😊

We arrived late-11:00 pm after day of driving. The male employees who greeted us were friendly & awesome. Got our 2 bedroom room (2 doubles & King in other room) for 3 Adults in family. What a surprise to wake up to a gorgeous view of Lake Huron & two sliding doors to walk out decks to soak in the view or walk to the water! Breakfast was busy, but lots of food and choices. The gentleman driving everyone around in the golf cart was terrific! Great stay, would love to come back and explore the whole town more, would definitely stay here again & recommend it. Also they have indoor & outdoor pools and a bonfire by the water. Terrific.

Our bathroom was a little small & outdated, had to use sink outside room to wash hands, as toilet & shower in bathroom…but really who cares, the whole rest of the property and staff was excellent.

The employee that drove the golf cart up to breakfast was wonderful, and friendly. The view was great. As someone with a disability I liked being able to have a ground floor room without having people above us.

It was a long way for us to go for breakfast or the pool with the weather being rainy and cold. The bathroom and room itself for 4 people was a little small. There was no parking available if you wanted to drive to the office to go to breakfast or the pool which made it difficult for someone with a disability.

Location, close to the ferry, swimming pool was nice.

Shower in room too small. The floor above us squeaked every time someone walked on the floor or moved in the bed. Did not complete checkin when we arrived and the next day someone else entered our room while we were in it. Afterwards we were not contacted with an apology and my husband had to go up to the front desk because our room key card did not work. At least our room was cleaned the second day after the mishap.

Loved being right by the water. Room was comfy. Breakfast was good both days we stayed. We really enjoyed the smores and bonfire. Meeting people that were staying there around a fire was really nice.

The fact that the hotel was split into different buildings and ours was the farthest away from the main lobby and pool. I wanted to use the pool but it was too cold of a walk wearing a swim suit. If we would stay in the Summer it would have been great.

We were assigned a first room that was directly in front of the pool,we had flown & drove a LONG way for peace & quiet. The staff moved us to a room that was directly on the lake with a great balcony and sounds of waves-thank you so much!

Not the hotel's fault but the bugs outside were very annoying and swarmed everywhere making spending time outside uncomfortable. We used the pool and hot tub where they weren't as bad. Also enjoyed the campfire. Would have loved a sandier spot to wade into the lake.

Check in was quick and easy - staff was very friendly. Room we stayed in was huge. Room and bathroom was updated and very clean. The breakfast spread had a huge selection and was amazing! The pool and hot tub inside was also very clean. Hotel felt safe even with the doors to the rooms being outside (I am very hesitant typically to stay at places with this layout.)

The bathroom in the pool area was a little dirty, but just needed to be swept out.
