Hampton Inn & Suites St. Paul Downtown

If you want to stay close to everything, this is the place! If you want the best staff for hospitality, this is the place! If you want an excellent price for a clean comfortable place with an amazing breakfast included, this is the place! I’m from Florida and my daughter got married in the city, I booked several suites for guest, bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I travel a lot and this is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at in many years!

You’d have to try extremely hard to find something wrong. After a 12 hour day that involved my daughter’s wedding, reception, etc. I didn’t like going one floor down to get ice. 😄 Absolutely kidding! No complaints here, not one!

Great downtown location. Overnight parking was $25.00 p/night in their protected underground lot beneath the hotel. Car retrieval was a phone call before you went downstairs and the car was waiting. No hassle of looking for a parking place and the security of the car was guaranteed!!! Awesome, knowledgeable, professional,accommodating staff. VERY quiet, peaceful hotel. Very comfy beds. Great showers. Excellent place to go anywhere in the St. Paul area. Convenient to restaurants and college campuses in the area. THE place to stay for a Minnesota Wild hockey game. One minute walk to the accelerator Arena!!!

Great location for our needs. Went for our daughter's law school graduation. Walking distance to Roy Wilkens Auditorium. Good food spots within 3 minute walk.huge shout out to the Maintenace crew. They couldn't fix the first room's faulty lock and they went down and got us another room from clerk, went to that room with the new keys and made sure the lock worked before bringing us the keys and telling us where to go.

Long check in. The hotel over booked our room. Reserved king suite for wife and I. Received double queen suite. First room, lock didn't work. Maintenance tried repairing it but the device had been out off power so long that it lost its programming. Floor inside was sticky. Appeared it was mopped with dirty water.

I like that the place is clean and secure. Wish there was a better place to take the dog for a walk, but happy that the hotel accommodates pets.

No real area to walk the dog.

Breakfast was varied and well kept. Very enjoyable. The hotel is located close to the Excel, the history center, and restaurants and within walking distance of St Paul. Parking is by valet only and while I prefer to park myself, the valet attendants were cordial and quick. The room was very comfortable. There were many restaurants nearby, especially Cossetta's - a must see.

front desk staff, (in particular, Sherrell was very helpful), room, decor is nice, great sitting area by front windows, excellent breakfast/coffee offerings, nice showers, keycard security in elevators, nice valet attendants

there was not shampoo in our room when we arrived, however this was taken care of by Sherrell from the front dest who was very helpful

Loved how clean everything was. And we went to a show at the Xcel center. It was super convenient to have it across the street. Breakfast was good and the breakfast area is very nice and comfy.

It sucked that there are so many bars around there because we were trying to get rest before our roadtrip home. Sleep was impossible before 2am as there was a group of bikers revving their bikes up so much. I bet you could hear it for several blocks. Beds in the 2 queen bed room we had weren't very comfy.

I was speaking at the Saint Paul River Center. The location of the Hampton Inn was close enough to walk, which is exactly what I wanted. The workspace within the room was PERFECT. There were good places to eat also very nearby. Having the little snack shop was an added plus. I will stay here again next year when I return.

There was really nothing disappointed me or failed to meet my expectations.

Great location once you get settled in, the breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Was easy to check in and out.

Parking, they shouldn't advertise parking because they only offer valet and it's expensive. Huge pet peeve of mine with all hotels in this area. If driving yourself the best option is across the street at a competing hotel.

Vallet with heated garage. My diesel dually appreciates you guys for that! Definitely would say it was our favorite king room we have stayed in. For the price its well worth it.

The pillows! That's also bias because I forgot my temperpedic and now my neck is stiff. Also blinds didn't work. #436. Was annoying because we wanted the view of the Excel Energy center.
