This was our second time staying at the San Dune. We love that it is reasonably priced, easy check in, includes a refrigerator and microwave for our leftovers. And the most important thing, that our dog gets to stay with us. We like walking to the beach and setting up for several hours to play, watch kite boarders and enjoy the view. The town has a mellow vibe, some great restaurants and is a great base for further coast explorations.

The bed and pillows were wonderful and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful in assisting me when I needed assistance.

The furniture in the room was extremely uncomfortable. There were two wooden high stools that were very uncomfortable to sit in and there was one two-person couch that was so low to the ground that I slid out of it while I was trying to get dressed. I did ask the management to bring me a regular full-sized chair, which they did, and that helped me out a lot. Also, there was no closet or wardrobe to hang your clothes. There was one 5 hook hat rack next to the bed, where I had to drape my clothes while I was there.

I am not sure about the remodel. There needs to be more counter space in the bathroom. Microwave on top of the fridge??? Side tables on both sides of the bed. I guess when you say fireplace... I mean a real fireplace? But we used it as a side table in the bedroom. The side tables next to the couch need to be longer. No coffee table?

This was a nicely updated motel with wood floor and modern decor. Small fridge was great for leftovers and drinks. There was room to set up dog bed. Restaurants in Manzanita are wonderful and walking distance to beach and shops.

No celing fan in the bathroom though there appeared to be two, no way to turn on. (The room did have a working floor fan tho!) Deck out back window was for another room and felt a little too much when they were out there, but only happened once as we were out exploring a lot.

In regard to "what did I think of the breakfast," there was no breakfast. Manzanita is such a quaint little beach town it is impossible to be in a bad location anywhere in town.

The room was advertised at "pet friendly." I didn't have a pet, but I stayed at the San Dune Inn because I couldn't find a location with a vacancy close to the ocean. The room was clean and well organized, but there were no rugs on the floor, only a 2' X 3' rug at the door. It was cold in Manzanita. I put towels on the floor beside my bed and in the bathroom so I didn't have to walk on the cold linoleum. That is my only item for a wish list.

clean n cute! owner was very accommodating and nice to chat with and the location was right near shops n coffee n just a few quick blocks to beach! loved it! oh and the bed was wasaaay more comfy than sunset surf- to me that actually makes them a toss up

no air conditioning- and hot days are here to stay so ductless ac units would be a great investment

The unit we booked was a queen studio. Before arriving, I had several questions. My calls were returned quickly, friendly, helpful. It made our stay more enjoyable. When we first walked in our unit, we were surprised at how small it was. After staying 3 nights, we were totally happy with the layout and comfort, and location. We had or own private parking space. We will definitely rebook this room again.

the cleanliness was exceptional. Facilities were as advertised & as pictured. Supplies as needed for our 2 night was great - coffee was wonderful. When we needed assistance the staff was very friendly. All the visitors we interacted with were so very friendly and relaxed. We met many dogs & enjoyed their antics. I was amazed at the dog-friendly attitude of the town. My rating would have been "exceptional" in all areas except the refrigerator made a lot of noise when the motor was running - I mean, a LOT of noise. I will return to San Dune the next time I plan a trip to Manzanita. Oregon is beautiful - I lived there years ago but had actually forgotten how beautiful it is. My first visit to Manzanita, though.

We contacted them about the sheet 1st thing in the morning and they were very apologetic and remedied the situation ASAP. The staff has always been very nice & we love staying here on our anniversary. 6 times in 9 years so far. They've remodeled the rooms which was very nice. We like how they're nice an quiet yet just a few blocks from the beach. The rooms are nice an cozy.

Found a discoloration on the bed sheet when we pulled the bed sheets back. Have no clue what it was, but sheets were bright white & it really stuck out. 1st time this has happened in 6 different stays with them so wasn't super concerned. It was well after 11pm when we returned to the room & saw it so just removed the sheet & contacted them in the morning.

Great location. Quiet street. Convenient to stores, restaurants and the beach.

The bathroom was small and needs a shelf or somewhere to put toiletries. Super high shower head makes it impossible to shower without getting your hair wet.
