The panoramic view; large room; full kitchen; location - small town, beautiful, clean beach!

I was a little disappointed the fireplace didn’t work. The bed was a little hard and the blanket was thin and worn. I was cold all night. I thought the cost was a little pricey, especially since the room already cost more upfront because I brought a pet and then I was charged an additional $20 per night pet fee. The couch still had sand on it from the previous occupants and so it made me wonder how clean the room was overall. The couch is also very old and worn, not very comfortable.

You can’t beat the view from buildings A, B & C! These buildings are right on the beach! You don’t have to cross a highway or meadow, just a small flight of stairs to the sand. Also a little yard with seating areas if you don’t want to go to the sand offers great views. Loved lying in bed watching the waves.

It could use some updating. The fridge may have been as old as me and you can tell this “resort” has been around for awhile. Although outdated, it still felt clean. We got the two bed and the bedroom does not have a view of the ocean. The other bed is in the living room and has a great view- just something you might want to know.

View was great. Privacy great. Heard lots of noise from people staying above us. Housekeeping had done very good job.

It was our choice to have a view which we had. I have disabilities so difficult climbing stairs and not having handicap bathroom. You have separate building for handicap but no view. You should have at least a few in the building with a view for handicap. This would at least give patrons a chance if they booked early enough to have true comfort and also a view if disabled.

We love the close view of the ocean. I like leaving the slider open so I can hear the waves and get the ocean breeze. We appreciate the fireplace when it gets chilly and we liked the fact that we could cook in our room because the places to eat in Rockaway are very limited.

The rooms need to be updated badly. The toilet would not flush and when it did, it ran for hours so I checked and someone had replaced the flap but left the old flap in the tank so it got stuck under the new flap. I had to reach in that nasty tank and get the old flap out. The beds are terrible but I knew that so I brought a foam topper for the mattress. They also need to replace the bedding. We have been going there for over 5 years and the rooms have the same old tired out bedding. So glad we travel with our own pillows and comforters.

Clean and adequate, full kitchen in the queen suite. Would be nice for a multi-night stay, but we didn't use it much. Balcony with 2 chairs, out of the wind. Beds were comfortable. Rockaway Beach is fantastic for long, flat, barrier-free walking, and that's what we go for.

Partial view room should be described as "interior building, minimal ocean view." This was building E. That was disappointing. I would pick A, B, or C next time. Also, the couch faced away from the ocean, so you couldn't watch even that little glimpse from inside. Lighting was way too bright in the dining room and way too dim to read in the bedroom. The internet was almost unusably slow. Rockaway feels like a town from a bygone era, but not in a charming way--a bit raggedy - and there's not much to see or do aside from walking the beach. But it makes accommodations more affordable than Cannon Beach or Manzanita.

The view from the beachfront room was worth every penny …. So calming at the end of a busy day of exploring up and down the coast.. The surf at night put you to sleep quickly. The morning walks were somewhat spiritual. The rooms seemed very clean.

The pillows, all 4, were beyond their life expectancy, a bit too flat for my liking. The building is definitely in need of some repair, there was one very small couch to sit on to watch TV so we sat on the living room queen bed a lot. Our carpet had a big wet looking spot in front of the tv possibly from some sort of an oil spill and the soffits were missing a board all the way across, so you were looking up inside them. Not the ritz if that is important to you, to us, it was heaven in spite of these issues. We hated to leave.

I liked that they didn't ask me to take the time to do a survey during my busiest time of the year. I liked that it wasn't at the very top of the stairs for my old ass to drag all my stuff up! Thank you very much. I liked that eventually my wife was satisfied by somebody with the amount of towels she needed and finally got. The fact that I wasn't towed while parked during perhaps the busiest day of the year.

My wife's attitude brought on by reluctance to allow her to have however many towels she felt she needed. But that was eventually cured by somebody, at some point. Not in time for me to get laid mind you but...eventually.

We loved the location on beautiful Rockaway beach. We had an oceanfront queen room with a kitchenette and small balcony. It was very clean; the bed was firm and comfortable, and the view was spectacular. It was about 20 minutes to walk to restaurants and had some very good Mexican food. Beach fires were allowed on the beach and we noticed that there were places in the town centre to purchase firewood.

No fan or windows; we could have kept the patio door open for a breeze but were somewhat close to the ground so did not. We had a good sleep anyway; it was not too stuffy.

I had a corner king suite with balcony, with partial ocean view. It was huge. Loved the fireplace in the living room. Bed was extremely comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen/dining area had a large dining table with chairs and dishwasher. Beachfront property at the North end of town.

If I were to stay there longer than one night and had a desire to cook, I would say that the pot selection was mediocre and needed updating. First of all bc their teflon surface was completely destroyed/scratched on all three cooking pots/pans there. Scratched teflon surface produces harmful chemicals when heated. I would definitely not want to cook in those. As a rule, there should be silicone or durable plastic utensils to use on teflon surfaces, and once scratched, the cookware must be replaced. Best of all, one time investment in durable stainless steel cookware would be a good solution. WiFi password is very weak, so I have not used WiFi, as my antivirus software alerted me not to. Beware of weak and hackable WiFi passwords.

I was impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the guy who checked me in. The view was beautiful and the room was very clean.

I knew my room was on the second floor and although I have a bad back I decided I wouldn't have to go up and down the stairs too much and I wanted the view. There are about seven steps up to the first floor and then 20 more steps to get to the rooms on the second floor. The only other problem I had was the water in the shower took over 10 minutes to get warmed up enough to get in there without freezing.
