Park Lane Suites & Inn

Great location, very convenient for all the Portland sights. free parking and super helpful staff. The free tea, coffee and cookies were such a lovely bonus too. Room was great with all the required amenities and cable tv. Excellent!

Everything was great.

Friendly, helpful, and knowledge staff. Easy freeway access, only a few min drive to downtown, Pearl District, and Old Town. Free coffee all day. Free and ample parking, dog friendly. Indoor slippers, bench for luggage/putting on shoes, and black makeup towels are a nice touch. Deluxe King room is bigger than the picture shows and has a nicely equipped kitchen with a full size fridge. Sound proofing between rooms is better than expected.

We had a room by the stairs and so we got a lot of stair noises with people's suitcase and walking down the stairs. Sometimes it even shakes the room a little. Kinda feeling like staying at a bowling alley. Not so bad that it kept us up but would probably ask for a room away from the stairs next time. A little water damage/mold on the wall by the shower, didn't bother us much but I can see how others might have a problem with it. The fridge in the two queens room is very small and doesn't really keep things cold, just keeps them cool.

The room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The AC was welcome as it was warm and humid during our stay. We were able to check in early and check out was easy, even with an early flight. There was plenty of free parking for the inn. The admin staff were helpful and easy to connect with from the room or by walking over to reception. The location was nearby the popular shopping district of NW 23rd Ave, and a short walk to Washington Park and Powell's Books.

We were unable to figure out how to use the mini fridge (we could not get it to turn on during our stay) and it would have been nice to have for our trip. There was also an issue with the reception phone line not ringing when calling from an outside line.

I loved our stay here. Our room was basically a 2 bedroom apartment, it felt like home. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were so comfortable. And I loved the vintage floor tiles in the bathroom. We stayed only 1 night but will definitely be back. Good location and grounds were clean. And the price was great!

Parking is a little tricky. We arrived around midnight and the 1st lot was full and the 2nd one was too. So my husband parked in the 3rd overflow lot, about 2 blocks away. As a woman, I would have not wanted to park that far away and walk back at night. But I appreciate the options for overflow parking.

The property offered free bottled water and coffee, and on mornings, cookies and apples. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is close to bus lines, several restaurants and a large supermarket.

I spent 2 nights struggling to sleep with the bright lights from outside my window shining through. On enquiring, I was finally able to locate three lever to close the blinds. This is on me. I should have asked earlier. I wasn't informed that there would be no housekeeping during my stay. This was not really a problem since I tidied up after myself, but it would have been good to have been told.

We booked this sight unseen and were pleasantly surprised when we rolled up. The location is exceptional and very walkable. We walked to Powell's Books, which is about 8 blocks away. The staff was friendly and helpful and the suite was spacious and met our needs for a weeklong stay. We had read that parking was an issue but they have plenty of parking on property.

When we first booked, I chose a room instead of a suite, due to the cost. It was a nice room with parking right in front. About 2 days in, and with an ice storm pending, it became clear to us that we would need a microwave and fridge. The manager worked with our budget to provide a suite that was in the main building. This was great because that's also where the laundry room is located. I would suggest the room for short stays where you will be eating out, but definitely get the suite if you'll be there a few days.

- The staff was very helpful - The Suites are well-equipped and well-stocked with breakfast / hot beverages - There are trees nearby, so the view is nice, and there was birdsong (in June). - There's even a laundry room (which I didn't find in the description)

- The fridge (and the writing desk) are very small for the rooms in the Inn. - The room size displayed on Booking appears accurate, thus the Inn's rooms are smallish for four people + baggage - The main road near the hotel doesn't feel safe in the evening / night.

Sam (front desk guy), is literally one of the best concierge people I have EVER encountered. He was knowledgable, and shared our mutual excitement for the city. He provided late night and early morning locations to go, and he told us about various areas. The trip was honestly off to a great start. The location is prime. You can easily walk up to Nob Hill area and then also down into the city no problem. There are bars and restaurants either direction and donuts not too** far away. Really they have a prime location. On a clear morning we could also see the volcano!! Very cool.

Only thing is the AC units are very loud, hard to sleep if you're a light sleeper. But they properly heat and cool the rooms. Just a small note.

This is a very comfortable and centrally located motel, with free parking on site, kitchenette and welcoming staff. It is close to supermarkets and pharmacies and several restaurants on NW 23rd, and is an easy walk to downtown. Also close to Washington Park and the trails past the Japanese and rose gardens. There is an elevator which was functioning well. We did not find that traffic noise was an issue during our stay.

The heater and refrigerator are older and both rather noisy, but with ear plugs this was not an issue for us.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the hotel location was excellent with numerous restaurants and shopping within short walking distances. I would stay again when revisiting the area.

The room didn’t have a refrigerator (only a very small cooler). Also, being Portland, homelessness and open drug use was present when walking thru surrounding areas but, unfortunately, that’s unavoidable when staying close to downtown. Sad but true – Portland has certainly changed since I began visiting the area 14 years ago.
