Charming home in a walkable neighborhood - lots of thought has been put into making the room and shared space comfortable, safe, and convenient. There’s a great bakery/cafe within 2 minutes walking, lots of shops, and several other restaurants. The area is also very convenient for reaching other areas of Portland - I drove and with the parking permit had no issue finding parking on the street (although to be fair I wasn’t there on a weekend). I would happily stay there again!
The WiFi was very slow, but I was able get good service (ATT) and use mobile data.

I really enjoyed my stay in this quaint guesthouse in a quiet part of the Nob Hill (NW) district of Portland! I am already scheming on how to go back! The manager and hosts obviously put a lot of care and love into maintaining this older property. It was tidy, clean, well-maintained, and had a really, homey comfortable feel. One's most common questions were covered by clear instructions and signs, as well as communication before, during, and after. The manager is very responsive to questions and also a delight to speak with if you happen to run into him. I stayed in a single room, which was compact but had everything I needed: bed, table, plugs for my chargers and other machines, dresser, portable A/C, mirror, rack to hang clothes, chair, extra fold-up table, extra blanket, towel. On my floor there was both a common shower/toilet room as well as a dedicated bathroom, so I didn't run into any sharing conflicts there. There is also a nice shared kitchen with a sink and shared fridge. They provide some basic breakfast things (cereal, milks, bread, PB, butter, tea, sugar, salt) so you can have a basic breakfast, read, and/or converse with other guesthouse residents if you like. When I went though, it was pretty quiet as people were out and about most of the time. The location is fabulous as it is quiet but also very convenient as it right around the corner from several restaurants, a popular bakery, bookstore, Trader Joe's, Fred Meyers, and a Wallgreens. It is also near Washington Park (which houses the famous rose garden as well as the Japanese garden), NW 23rd street, Pearl District, one of the Powell's Books (Burnside), Prospect Park... And public transportation is pretty great in Portland. If you're going to ride it a lot, I suggest getting the HOP pass. Can't recommend enough.

It was a short 10-15 minute bike ride from the Finish of the Seattle To Portland (STP) large, organized bike ride. They had accommodations for my bike during my stay. It's located in Portland's Pearl District, my favorite neighborhood in the city. It was also conveniently close to the Amtrak train that would get me and my bike back to Seattle on checkout day.
The lock for the room was a little sticky but not a big deal, especially for a one night stay. A little lock lube should have the lock working smoothly.

This was a real great find when I decided to visit Portland. The house is in a lovely neighbourhood which was really easy to reach by public transport from downtown on arrival. In fact, it only takes about 25mins to walk to the main part of town. There were a number of great places to eat and drink within a 5min radius. The room was very comfortable and well maintained and clean. The shared bathrooms were also very well taken care of and the shower was great. The kitchen had great facilities and the tea, coffee, milk and juice etc. that was provided was really appreciated. The hosts were available if you needed them and were quick to respond to any questions.
There was nothing that I didn't like about staying here. I would only point out that the walls are thin and you can hear the other guests from time to time but this is to be expected in a property such as this.

Another great stay at this lovely guesthouse. So well located and easy to get to and from the airport. Downtown is within a 20min walk but there are also good bus connections. The rooms are well maintained whilst the shared bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned on a daily basis.
I had no issues however some folks may find the stairs up to the top floor a little hard. Please also bare in mind that as this is a lovely old house, sound does travel, so follow the quiet hours and you'll be fine.

I've stayed here twice now, and the property is always clean and secure. Having access to a kitchen is great when I didn't want to go out to eat, and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.
The shower stall upstairs has nothing to hold onto - no grab bar or railing at all. For someone with orthopedic disabilities like myself, this can make showering both more challenging and less safe. Some type of hand-hold would be so greatly appreciated.

One of the best places I've ever stayed at. The bed was wonderful, I slept well. A great location. Right near fantastic food and coffee, I highly recommend staying here. The host was super understanding of my purpose in the area, I had been at the hospital with my daughter for 12 hours, being her doula. The host did a really kind thing for me, which I appreciated very much.
Everything was great, nothing negative.

The guest house is in such an amazing location, with fantastic food and drink options all around. Having traders Joe's around the corner was also a bonus! The breakfast room was really great as well. Having the microwave helped save on a few meals as a solo traveller on a budget! I also met Tim, the guesthouse manager, and he had some fantastic recommendations and was so lovely and accommodating. I'll definitely stay at the Guesthouse again if I visit portland in the future!
It would have been great if there was washing facilities

Everything was great - served a dinner for 4 to my friend and family - kitchen had everything I needed enough space for 4 of us - we walked to Providence park in minutes - manager was SUPER HELPFUL as I had lost my phone and he helped (let me borrow) by offering his phone
The Queen bed is a bit hard, but not rock hard. That is it, everything else was perfect.

It is located in a quiet street lined with trees and Victorian mansions, but very close to a Trader’s Joe store and many nice restaurants. It is also close to Washington park with its Japanese and rose gardens.
Nothing. Sharing the bathroom with other guests was not an issue for me. The other guests were very considerate. The place was very quiet.
