This is a beautiful old building (presumably an old priory) made into a comfortable European style hotel. The night staff was gracious and welcoming and helpful. One just hopes they do NOT modernize!

The day staff was less gracious. lol. “Management” is not something one wants to perceive. Breakfast, though tasty, is given to you in a bag like a school lunch, with coffee urns. It’s good, though not quite a match with with how perfect everything else is.

Loved our stay at this hotel. We booked a deluxe king room and it was wonderful, bed was very comfortable. We were visiting Pittsburgh for a concert at Stage AE, the venue is walkable but we took an Uber to the venue and then walked back afterwards. Other reviews mention the hotel is across from public housing, never found that to be an issue. They have parking (no extra parking costs like other hotels in a city), breakfast is included and you select what you want and select a time to pickup, loved this aspect as I never make it to a breakfast that is only offered until a certain time. The location was great for exploring other parts of Pittsburgh as well. Would definitely stay here again.

What an awesome find. Was looking for something different and this fit the bill. Lots of history and a wonderful tour with Michael. He is an amazing story teller. Loved hearing the history. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice view of Pittsburgh. Lovely courtyard area and the parking was easy. Also a great little bar where Michael makes the BEST cocktails. Best chocolate espresso martini I have had. Great continental breakfast included. Order at night, pick up in the morning. Great find, totally recommend.

Not the most desirable location for walking around but if you plan to drive to dinner then it’s perfect.

The breakfast was good enough for a quick bite, though for such a beautiful site I am a bit surprised that a self-service breakfast buffet isn't offered to be enjoyed in their inviting refectory & courtyard.

Breakfast would have been better if condiments were available for ham and cheese croissant (dijon, honey mustard, or mayo). Perhaps allowing guests to select flavor of yogurt and type of muffin. Lastly, not sure if ours were removed (perhaps by another guest because bags are left unattended) or just not provided, but 2nd morning we hadn't received muffins that were requested and there were no utensils (but we managed).

We arrived late and appreciated the warm and helpful reception. There was an internal mistake regarding our reservation that was attended to without fanfare and in an appropriate manner. The outdoor seating area and garden are attractive and welcoming.

Sadly, the neighborhood is not very attractive and does not feel safe. I would have appreciated a more formal breakfast, perhaps with a simple buffet. Bagging our breakfast may be efficient but is not appealing. The atmosphere of the hotel, which is warm and inviting, calls for more attention to detail in this area.

the hotel it self was beautiful and very clean. the bathroom was immaculate and the bar has a very friendly bartender that gave me some very tasty drinks. the bartender also helped me order food to the hotel so I didn’t have to leave to go hunt down food.

the location was kind of scary lots of homeless. when I was walking back to the hotel I got cat called and followed by a man and had to run back to avoid him. the parking is not the most convenient but useable and reliable. there is breakfast offered but when ordered mine it was never delivered and I had to leave hungry.

This was a beautiful hotel. If you love history the bartender was so knowledgeable and it was great service. The staff was exceptional. They have a breakfast sandwich and a coffee station downstairs with a grab and go bag that you can sit and eat or take with you. Fresh fruit, yogurt, a muffin, coffee and a ham and cheese croissant. The room was immaculate and I was able to sleep peacefully. Anything they listed was there. I appreciated having the hair dryer because I left home in an emergency.

It’s a gem in the middle of what seems to be a very sketchy area. There is free parking right across the street and as I walked by myself m, I was greeted with the bartender watching and waiting for me to cross and enter. It’s not in an area I would walk around at night but I can see an up and coming investor being interested here because it’s 5 minutes from the best Pittsburgh has to offer.

The Priory is small with classic touches. Loved that it was a repurposed church and priory as you can see so much history and beauty on site. Room was super nice with lots of pillows, even an extra pillow and blanket. Towels were super fluffy. One of my favorite touches was the first day that the toilet paper had a triangle tuck sealed with a P. Staff were really friendly. The breakfast was simple but perfect for reducing waste too. Property is only minutes from major attractions in Pittsburgh.

Had character, maintaining historic value but still clean. Tasty breakfast with a perfect selection of items. Felt safe, and in a location easy to get to. Not the same box hotel feeling as regular hotels, but had the same amenities.

tight parking and then realized the next day there was a larger lot around the corner. the bathroom in our room was tight to get into, but was fine once the door was closed. no mini fridge in our room, but it was cold enough outside to leave items in our car to cool. (and we didn’t request one so maybe that was why). NO complaints, we will be back!!

Loved the historic hotel, the victorian furniture as well as the history behind it all. Close to various places, restaurants, activities, and a very short drive to the stadium. Ample parking although it gets full quickly with the Grand Hall venues. Walking distance to a Giant eagle supermart. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very safe and well lit at night comfortable to walk around the neighborhood. Breakfast was great they have it ready for you at chosen time to pick up eat in the dining hall or ready to bring up to your room. Brilliant

Nothing at all.
