The location was excellent. Very central and across the street from the train station and pretty much walking distance to most places located in the city. The room I got was really nice (I think I read that some rooms are still being refreshed, but that wasn’t my case) and very large! My room had a king sized bed, there was also a sofa, a table and chairs if you wanted to eat or do work and then also a seating area near the window. As far as amenities go, the breakfast included was really good and a great way to start the day (the staff member who managed the breakfast buffet was also very charming. It was nice starting the day with a staff member who always seemed like they were in a good mood). Also the gym facilities were top notch. It was easy to get my workout in. They had pretty much any type of equipment you’d want. Overall, I would say I had a good experience and would definitely stay here again despite the annoying issues that I wrote about below.

Unfortunately the pool was closed while I was there so I didn’t get to try it out, but the setting looked inviting. It was kind of annoying that there was $250 deposit that wasn’t made known in advance anywhere when it was booked. Finally, the front reception desk is on the 10th floor, but the entrance is obviously on the main ground floor. When you’re checking out if you need to leave your suitcase for the day it’s through the staff on the ground floor where they have a luggage room. Except the staff is never there so you have to keep calling the front desk just to have someone hold your luggage or give it back to you. Also annoying if you’re on a time crunch and have a train (or plane) to catch.

I loved the pool. the rooms were nice we had one facing the pool so that was nice. everyone was friendly.

1) I was in room 1124, the area outside by the pool was dirty and unkept. leaves everywhere. garbage outside. landscape hasn’t been kept up. so it wasn’t as nice sitting outside. plus the door to get to the pool from our room was locked so we either had to walk all the way around to near the sauna door or we had to go through inside to get to pool which was a little annoying because we were told we can go right from our room to the pool through that door

Excellent location! We took the train in to see a concert at the Bell Centre so location was perfect! The room was big enough for me & my 2 kids and they loved the rooftop pool (they were able to swim outside in October! So cool!)

Would have like complimentary water in the rooms and an iron (although there was a handheld steamer in the room). Timing was ok this time but earlier check-in (2 or 3 instead of 4) would be handy for out of town guests.

The Pool was great. Everything was clean. very friendly staff. The kids loved it.

We like looking out our window and seeing the water and trees. Felt like we were in a forest. It was the first time we had stayed on any 10 floor and thought we were at ground level with lush vegetation.

I bit difficult to comprehend just how the elevator system could get us to our assigned room.

The pool and sauna were delightful, as well as the lovely gardens surrounding the hotel. The location was also very convenient, right next to a Metro station, and in the heart of downtown. The rooms were nice, clean comfortable and large.

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was that it was situated on the 10th floor of an (office?) building? It was quite confusing when we first arrived as it wasn't clear how to actually get in or if we were in the right place. Also, I will say, the hallways were quite dark - it was a bit of a hipster vibe, which, if you like that sort of thing, great! But just wasn't expecting that.....

I love this hotel in every season. The wow factor is the pool and landscape of the roof. It is a total oasis. If you haven’t been you’re missing out!

The underwater pool lights are in need of repair. A couple of them were broken off and a little work is needed on the deck. I appreciate this is hard to do though. Closing the pool area is tough when this is the top thing guests want to see and do. I’m very thankful the pool was available for my visit. Hopefully they can do repairs quickly with minimal downtime some time over fall or winter.

On arrival to the big hotel, in our car, we were guided to park alongside than take separate elevator to park below later after going up to reception, which is on the 10th floor, to register and where all the activity is of the hotel, rooms, restaurants and the spectacular pool paradise up above the city, all surrounded with trees, greenery and water canals with ducks and waterfalls as if you’re in a tropical oasis!! The reception staff are patient, explaining layout and details of your stay! All hotel staff from the porters to cleaners, to pool guys are all accommodating and go the extra mile. We made friends with the front doorman during our stay who brought our luggage up to our room, and he was our guy for getting us a taxi and going over the top to make sure we were comfortable going in and out of the hotel, his name is Zied! Always wanting to please and do a good job with his broken English, he really made us feel welcome. Ronel, guided us to our restaurant and brought us our special robes for the pool. The pool guys were great and there’s a wonderful atmosphere with music and healthy drinks and fruits to serve you poolside. With a lovely window, sauna and hot tub spa. Our breakfast was delicious and we met the chef, Jahem who was very accommodating. Needing our getaway was important for us to restore in my boyfriend’s 6 month cancer journey. Celebrating us and Jazz Festival to see Melody Gardot with Matthew V and Diana Krall! Recommend Petra’s Griffin Greek Food dinner, Marino waiter is a character! Lamb melts in our mouth and Greek salad! BonAdventure was lively, lovely, beautiful seating areas thorough our, spacious! Families and couples and single people, all enjoying the wonderful hotel, and all its amenities.

On the second and third mornings for breakfast that was a little confusing. The main area where we enjoyed such a lovely experience. Our first morning was closed off due to renovations. There wasn’t really a sign posted, but it was online later. And the staff hadn’t reminded us, we found the temporary location which worked not badly for the second morning, the chef, being very accommodating and friendly with us during our stay. The third morning, the coffee was called and the selections not warm. The chef made up by packing us, croissants and juice. We did get our coffee warmed up nicely to the chagrin of the waitress on the second morning. But they were back up and running on our last day by lunchtime. It wasn’t too bad.

I loved everything! Flawless check in. It was a “me” shopping and relaxing getaway for my 60th. There was a lovely surprise dessert in my room when I returned later in the day. Little touches like that are so nice. The gentleman at the front desk on check in was top notch! I wish I had asked his name. He even let me check a room out to choose a view (I’ve stayed a few times here and wanted a similar view). I watched him handle other guests while in line and he was wonderful with everyone. He interacted with adults and kids alike with great info and advice. Loved the pool (as always)…great music, drinks were lovely. Friendly staff everywhere! Very attentive and quick when needing anything in the room. Breakfast was delicious! Loved sitting out on the patio each morning with birds chirping and watching baby ducks swim. Thanks Hotel Bonaventure! See you soon! Best hotel in Montreal hands down!

The only thing I disliked was my cheese sauce on my nachos was burned. I never complained or I am certain they would have replaced it instantly….so that’s on me for not saying anything. They were super busy!

Everything!!! Avril at the front desk was wonderful!!! She was pleasant, efficient and so helpful after we came to your hotel from another that was dreadful in every way imaginable. Avril was so attentive and caring for us after our horrible experience at another hotel Sunday night. She immediately made us feel welcome, made us feel better about our holiday and took care to look after us. She is absolutely a gem at your lovely hotel. Thank you Avril ❤️

The room doors and our bathroom door could use some oil??? Room#2315 Our bathroom door stuck a lot, plus room doors are very noisy.
