fantastic grounds and facilities. wonderful pools. nice sized rooms. all staff lovely and helpful.

it has been 13 years since I stayed here before and I recall it better then. flamingos was not a good experience. the staff were wonderful but the food poor. Hurricanes was better in 2010. The market cafe had less available than the cafe used to downstairs years ago and always had a large queue. otherwise was lovely

- a big territory - hotel is old, but you cannot tell, it’s renovated, well taken care of, rooms are new - very clean - shuttle to the Magic Kingdom - super good breakfast a very pleasant stay! Highly recommend!

- the breakfast is expensive + you have to wait to be seated (but it’s not a big deal) - parking is not free, expensive - front desk might be more friendly + you have to show what a client has to pay for prior to charging him - no room service available 24/7. If you come late, you have nowhere to eat (it’s a big deal!)

The hotel itself is very grand, with the main atrium being very impressive as you enter. Reception staff are very friendly during check-in and went through everything even though we had stayed before. The shuttle service is good although not as comprehensive as it used to be a few years ago. If you want to get to some of the Disney parks for opening, you'll have to get an Uber, despite the $45 a day resort fee. Location is very good however, being fairly central to all parks and there are some nice dining options nearby. The grounds and the pool areas are fantastic and very well kept. Some of our stay was also during Hurricane Ian and the correspondence from the hotel around measures in place was excellent, especially during a time that i imagine will have been scary for many! Would certainly consider staying again if ever back in the area (but will avoid the lobby bar and head over to Miller's instead).

The service at the lobby bar is appalling. You stand and wait for drinks, only to be ignored by the 3 staff stood behind the partition having clearly seen you, whilst the 1 member of staff serving just takes food orders and ignores your position in the queue. Happened on numerous occasions. As an international guest, perhaps the American bar culture differs a little too much to what we would expect across Europe and not in a positive way. The incidental charge added at check-in but also not mentioned anywhere in the booking could also catch many out. Although this is credited back at the end of the stay, it seems both unnecessary and for any travellers sticking to a strict budget, this may cause some stress!

The hotel was great and very well kept the bathroom was amazing as well as the bed , the tv was great size. They also will bring anything you ask for to your room. And we got a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival.

It would be nice to have a microwave in the room for leftovers that you might have.

Super expensive store inside the hotel. 4-5x the original amount of products is outrageous.

Exceptional hotel and excellent service

It’s expensive! I bought milk and cereal for my daughters as a snack in the market shop at it was 15 dollars! But genuinely a great hotel and would go back for sure.

This was my 3rd trip to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The service, the staff and my room have always been exceptional. The pool and area around the pool has always been very clean. The water in the pool is crystal clear. The pool staff was very attentive, but not overpowering. Overall I can't see any reason why I would stay anywhere else. I always feel very comfortable and safe being here.

The dinner menu in the Lakeside Restaurant. I would have liked to see more American food choices I would have loved to have seen some chicken dishes or even some Italian food such as Lasagna or chicken and/or Veal Parm. Other than the steak, I couldn't find anything that interested me. The outside pool grill/bar had a good lunch menu such as hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken salad. If all else fails, the Market inside the hotel has pre-made sandwiches and salads.

Food was fine at both Lakehouse and 4 Flamingos. Would like more varieties of restaurants.

Toilet in bathroom should have a door.

The pool area and main entryway were beautiful. The movies at the pool were fun. Lake area with paddle boats and canoes were fun.

Our mini fridge was broken, wouldn’t close. Room was tiny. Hotel was overcrowded. Long lines for elevators and people cutting in front to get on the elevators. Couldn’t locate stairs instead of elevators. Other people staying there were extremely rude, creating an unpleasant experience. Sheets on bed made you sweaty/ low thread count. Shuttle service to Disney not convenient and only went to magic kingdom. Food overpriced.

The hotel was stunning, after the first night we re-shuffled our road trip to stay an extra night ! The facilities were amazing both restaurants are very high standard and child friendly.

They could reduce single use plastic generally around the hotel (or generally in Florida :))) Coming from Europe it is also a very strange concept to share a room with your kids, the hotel would benefit from interconnecting double rooms or family suites. (I only found interconnecting family rooms ie.4double beds for 4people) I found the additional parking charge expensive and the hotel was very overwhelmed being Easter weekend so we had to wait over 20min each day for a bfast table.
