Hotel Residence Green Lobster

Our Queen size room was spacious and beautiful with the 4 poster bed, the room matches the history and heritage of the building which I loved, so many landmarks are close by such as the Castle, Charles Bridge and St Nicholas church. Plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops close by so we didn't need to take public transport. The staff are brilliant!! Both receptionist we met were lovely, before we arrived reception sent us clear instructions via booking.com how to check-in as we arrived late in the evening and reception had finished for the day, I appreciated them contacting me in advance.

Breakfast personally wasn't my favourite, as someone who doesn't eat pork it was a little hard to eat most of the food, but I did have options but personally I didn't enjoy it. The dining area is small so you can see that the hotel is working with what they have.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel so much! 😊 Despite the misunderstanding (that was solved very quickly) on the day of our check in, when the propriate room wasn't prepared and it took the time to solve it, everything else was more than great. The blonde haired girl from the reception (Liza) was very kind, sincere and keen on helping us. Thanks to her our first day misunderstandings didn't spoiled our trip 😊 we also would like to express our gratitude to the second girl from the reception (I guess Polin), who was also very kind and helped us to organise early breakfast on the day of our check out. The location is perfect, the breakfast was also great. We would definetely love to come back! 😊

Reception staff welcoming and helpful. Pleasant breakfast room and nice selection of meats, cheeses, eggs, breads. Large room with loft-- slept 4, offered privacy. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. Location was close to all of the sightseeing.

Not so much that we didn't like it, but the hotel is midway on a steep hill. Unless you are doing uber or taxi, you need to be able to walk that. The elevator in the hotel is very old (historical, and according to the hotel can't be replaced) so it is slow-- you must hold the button down until it gets there.

The room was huge and included a very large four poster bed, an ante chamber and big en-suite bathroom. It was furnished in a period manner rather than a modern design which added to the atmosphere. An air conditioning unit was provided in the room which was useful, if a bit noisy during operation. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, right beneath the walls of Prague castle however it may not suit anyone who has mobility issues or is averse to steep hills.

For our needs as a base to explore Prague the hotel was superb and we had absolutely no complaints. It is worth noting that breakfast is not available at the hotel however this suited us we often slept in and then went straight out to lunch each day.

We are amazed with the professional attitude of the staff, and more specifically the receptionist Olena, she was always there to help us whatever we needed, even if it's tips for the city. One of the guests next to us was very loud so she took action straight away and we never heard it again. The room was perfectly clean, they maintained it every day, new towels, new coffees, whatever is missing you'll be provided with again. The bed was also very comfortable and the room itself was very spacious. In addition, the location was great, very quiet but at the same time very close to the center and there is just one fence separating us from the castle.

We loved everything about this place.

The hotel is located in a nice street, very close to the castle. I liked that you could adjust the heat in the room and it was very quiet. All the door codes worked and there was no problem with check-in. Despite the fact that the hotel is small, there is a very good and wide choice for breakfast.

The only, but very significant, drawback was that smoking was allowed in the common courtyard (balconies). Neighbors smoked one meter from the windows of our room (we lived on the 3rd floor) and it was very unpleasant. The smell of smoke came into our room and remained for a long time. If it weren't for this minus, it could be rated 10.

The room was really excellent, luxury and quiet. Everything in the rooms was spotlessly clean. The use of Pin codes at night for the main door and all the time for the room was great - no need to carry a key or key card. Breakfast was also good with a large selection including some hot food.

Considering everything was luxury quality I don't understand why they had the cheapest toilet paper that I have ever used :-)

Excellent location and very comfortable room. Very tastefully decorated, great-looking historical ceilings and furniture. Wonderful, accomodating staff. Overall really good experience.

The breakfast area seemed a little neglected in comparison to the rest of the hotel. The space is a bit gloomy, tight and uncomfortable. It was also right next to what seemed like a storage area. It could use a small redesign to make breakfast a bit better experience.

- you receive a code to enter on your door handle- which I am afraid is not suitable for older people as its not so easy to 'dial it' in - reception experience was the weirdest- we receive paper with our room codes; then while waiting for the invoice the receptionist changes our room (basically downgrades us from a MOZART suite to a room 300) and doesn't say anything... so weird

The property was beautiful, very old style. The room was quite big as well. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacious too. There’s a small elevator too which was nice when we checked in and out with our luggage. We were told not many places had elevators due to the buildings not being allowed to make changes to preserve the buildings. The staff was also very friendly. The guy who checked us in gave us a map and gave us recommendations. I also booked an airport transfer from the hotel which was the cheapest option I could find and that experience was lovely as well.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the property was a bit far from the old town, 10-15 minutes walking (most people won’t find that far but for me I like to walk out of my hotel and be right there), however the location of the hotel is very nice. We spent some time in the area and there’s lots to see there as well. The castle is right there, and many other sights. I also mentioned to the staff that there was no water pressure in the shower. They offered to come immediately to look at it and fix it, but I told them it was ok since we were busy and wouldn’t be around and they assured me they’d come after we leave to fix it.
