Hotel Residence Bijou de Prague

Location was excellent - right next to the Prague castle...only negative was the HILL it is on...but that is virtually unavoidable in Prague! Breakfast was good, room was AMAZING and easily accommodated myself and my three kids in the two bedrooms and pull out couch.

I got charged extra for a fourth person even though when I booked on the booking.com website said it was the same price with 3 or 4 people - I should have just lied and not told them we ended up having 4 and saved myself $80. Also, I did not realize there was no parking at the hotel - this should be more clear. We had to pay to park several blocks away.

Room was beautiful, well equipped , clean, quiet and very comfortable. Access via key code was easy and convenient. Staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was served over the road in and was excellent, plenty of choice, hot or cold and very enjoyable. Hotel location is in a busy street up to the castle, but quiet overnight and lined with bars, cafes, restaurants and individual shops. Location was perfect for us, who like to find noise from time to time, but enjoy peace and quiet where we sleep. We would recommend fully and return for sure.

Maybe a shower curtain over the bath, no great inconvenience and it may spoil the lines of a very traditional bathroom, however it would help a little when showering

We booked a King type room. It was one of the biggest rooms I ever had in a hotel, with a beautiful interior. The location is just perfect: yards from Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery, and the tram stop. Charles Bridge is within 10 minutes of a slow walk. There is a little kitchen in the room (no microwave though). And the staff was exceptionally friendly.

Well, there was nothing that we would not like. But there are a couple of things for the hotel and visitors to consider. Hotel: breakfast options need some work (I am omnivorous, but some guests might not like the available options). For visitors: there is no lift, and the area has many hills, so get ready to walk up and down (good for health though).

The apartment was beautiful.. The bedding very comfortable, Due to flight delay we did not arrive till very early morning but were given the information we needed for access to the apartment. The apartments are just one street down from Prague Castle , everything to hand. The hotel allows you to take food into the apartments/ suites which we took advantage of due to the mini markets and food shops down the street. The apartment was amazingly quiet for being on the main route to the Castle. The sister hotel can book any tours that individuals would like to see.

We loved everything, there was only two faults, one with the apartment bathroom. This was if you wanted a shower , the shower hose and head had no attachment and you could not have a proper shower, only a bath. The other, as a severe nut allergy individual , i will go to great lengths to not touch any thing that visibly has nuts on it or I know may have it in. Some of the items i.e apple strudel had hazelnut in it and is not visably seen. So extra caution for allergy sufferers is needed when having breakfast in the sister hotel.

The location was amazing. The style of the room was amazing and the bathtub that was ordered. The breakfast was good. The receptionist was very friendly. The outside patio. The bed was comfortable

I didn't like how slow the internet was. It would be nice to have the employees help with the luggage. The lady helped me, but I had to ask. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom that was offered at the time of my arrival. I had thought I had left my phone in the breakfast area and had someone help me call, but no one answered the phone.

The property is right below the castle, in one of the main historical areas. We were accommodated in a room situated at the last floor, which despite this was spacious, with a high ceiling. The furniture was vintage themed and it really added to the belle époque feel of the place. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was rich, buffet style, and tasty.

There were few seats at the breakfast restaurant and newcomers sometimes had to wait for others to finish their meal. Other than that, nothing.

location was superb! nice apartment with balcony. very comfortable mattress. staff on reception was welcoming and helpful, very friendly. building was lovely , my room is call Mozart. next to our hotel, is little shop call žabka/frog and they have everything you need. food, sweets, newspapers, tabaco , alcohol, soft drinks, toiletries etc

kitchen staff, was friendly , but can’t speak Czech nor any other main languages. which was difficult to communicate if you want ask something about breakfast.

Everything was fantastic. The room was well maintained and comfortable. The location was ideal. The staff member were well behaved and welcoming. I would rate this property as 10/10.

Instead of stove, the microwave oven should be kept in the room as you can't use the stove anyways. The kitchenette should be equipped with little more utensils. This will add value to the hotel and make staying more comfortable.

Basically everything. Breakfast was very nice and inviting. And very friendly, helpful and sweet staff. Charming little suite and very quiet. Location is perfect. (But if you want to buy some groceries, do avoid the Vietnamese "Mini Supermarket" up the street who'll rip you off! Buy from the Czech couple down the street instead.) Good restaurants just a few meters away and so much good sightseeing too. I highly recommend this cute little hotel.

Air conditioner was very noisy and not too efficient. And I needed a bigger waste basket as the one in the bathroom is a small one. More channels on the TV would be nice too. But all in all I was very happy with this hotel and there's a big chance I'm returning.

It is an extraordinary hotel with elegant and exquisite furniture, a canopy bed from my dreams, which transmits the atmosphere of the Middle Ages and it feels exactly how the perfect accomodation to feel the atmosphere of the old Prague, especially if you are coming to the Czech republic for the first time. The hotel room is very spacious and looked more like a house to me overlooking the old cobbled street right next to the Prague Hrad. There is absolutely everything one might need. I adore and remember every minute I spent there and already pln to come back.
