Aemilia Hotel Bologna

Our only complaint was the breakfast. The scrambled eggs were way undercooked and we like them soft but these were really runny and the fried eggs were cold and overcooked. The yogurt was poor quality and the fruit was poor too, basically not ripe enough and tasteless. It took a long time to get a coffee and when we got them they were lukewarm.

See above, I used the wrong box. We liked the toom, the rooftop garden and the reception staff.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel: the staff is very friendly, the room is well-equipped (both coffee machine and kettle, for example), and the bed is very comfy (and large). Breakfast was really good: plenty of options, and attentive staff. And the view from the window was also very nice (see picture). I definitely recommend.

For us the location was great, but it is a good 20-minute walk from the main touristic attractions. The hotel is also a bit on the expensive side (but worth it in my opinion), and the soundproofing is not perfect.

Brilliant breakfast, just the right amount of options and everything was fresh. Location of the hotel was perfect for me, close enough to city centre that we could take a lovely walk everyday. Staff were really helpful and gave us some brilliant insight on where to visit and places to eat. We had the upgrade room which well worth the extra money to get a beautiful view of the city from the hotel room. The stunning roof top lounge was nice during the evening time as it cooled to enjoy a drink before heading out to a lovely local restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The addition of a courtesy bus to attend the Book Fair was very appreciated. We had an issue with the shower and it was attended to quickly. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory but not quite as amazing as it looks in the photos on the website.

The hotel when you first arrive is looking a little tired but the inside is much better. The addition of tissues in the bathroom would help. We had no view from our room except over the air condition unit but the photos show quite amazing views so it depends on the room you receive.

My room was well appointed, spacious and with comfy bed and pillows, very good shower and all with an amazing view of the city center twin towers. The breakfast was excellent as was the location. It was only a short walk to the town center. The restaurant was very nice with a good menu with local delicacies to try. My stay was in winter, however it was worth a trip up to the rooftop garden for the clear air views especially at dusk and whilst very cold, it's worth it. You will enjoy your stay here, the staff are fabulous and eager to assist and its on the right side of town for the airport. Enjoy!

Staff very friendly. Good location with regard to city centre as was very quiet, hotel is about 15 minute walk into the centre which can be tiring after a few days, or take a taxi which would cost between 10-15 euros due to traffic. Good choice of breakfast food. Very modern rooms with huge and comfy bed. Choice of two types of pillows. Slippers provided and small amenities in the bathroom. Nice rooftop area which I imagine is very popular in the summer months. Even has a jacuzzi on the roof. We sat in the hotel bar one evening which had a selection of free bar snacks to have with your drink which was a nice touch!

Was a little disappointed at the size of the gym, would have felt crowded with more than 3 people in there, luckily it was quiet for our duration so this was never a problem. There is a playground opposite the hotel. We didn't realise our window was open and so we were woken up with someone skateboarding outside in the early hours a few times - until we realised to shut the window!

Amazing hotel very clean and excellent facilities. Room itself was very spacious with a large bathroom. Very modern interior. Rooftop garden was amazing to catch sunset views. Location was a little far from central Bologna but bus stops are very close and convenient so was never trouble travelling into Bologna. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Distance from central Bologna, however the hotel was worth this and also was not hard to use public transport to move around

Check in was seamless and welcome complimentary drink at the bar offered. The rooms are modern, quiet with comfortable beds. The staff were super helpful and went over and beyond to provide information on where to visit/ eat in Bologna as well as calling the cabs if needed. Also since we were there while it was raining, there were plenty of umbrellas for the guests to use.

The one time we ate dinner at the hotel, my food was too salty. My partner really did enjoy his meal.

The staff were amazing - very welcoming and gave us some excellent recommendations for things to do. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Location is great - just a short walk from the centre.

The opening hours of the bar could have been earlier. We arrived at 12pm and would have liked to have had a refreshing drink before we headed out to the centre. More sunbeds are needed on the rooftop. room service breakfast was not good at all. Very disappointing.
