Hotel Emmaus

The location could not have been more perfect for a young solo female traveler who just wanted to see the Vatican safely. The train station is a 7 minute walk away, there are four good restaurants within sight of the hotel door, 2 convenience shops, a taxi stop right outside the front door, and a metro station across the street. The public entrance to St. Peter's Square was 5 minutes straight down the street, and I could see the basilica dome from my window.

The beds were a little outdated, but that may be me holding them to American hotel chain standards. The complimentary breakfast was adequate.

We stay in a lot of hotels, every year, all over the world and I have to say that this one was absolutely FANTASTIC. The location is simply exceptional for visiting all of the main attractions in Rome. The staff were very polite and attentive and above all, the hotel was VERY VERY clean. They have managed to keep the authenticity of Rome, whilst still allowing the hotel to grow with modern times. The rooms are a very good size, and very comfortable.

There was nothing that we did not like, but there is always room for improvement wherever you go. It would be nice if there was a toaster in the breakfast room and whilst it was lovely to have a fridge in the room, it would also make a lot of sense to have a kettle in each of the rooms to, so that guests may have tea and coffee. This was the only things that we really noticed were missing from the hotel.

Very friendly staff with English speaking 24hr reception service very clean hotel vintage with good air conditioning with small lift , international breakfast croissant, cake, cafe and teas nice service is 5mins far from St Peter Square vatican. 2mins to a laundry service same street good location to eat and variety of shops 5mins to Rone s.pietro train station . Very Recommended we come again.

After 12am till 2am most days out next-door rooms where stunds they made bite noisy shouting and laughing.

The location is perfect with many food options around the area. We got a room with a chancing which was a nice addition. The vintage elevator is a plus. The hotel gives you what it promises for a 3 star hotel. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was polite and the breakfast was good enough. We could ask for extra coffee and a plate with cold cuts and the lady that served us is very polite and helpful. Overall I would stay again at the hotel.

Everything was perfect for me and my friend the hotel staff was very friendly, also on top of this the breakfast was good and warm, the rooms were always very clean and the hotel its self is in a perfect location to see the sights and also has taxis rightoutisde. Also there are many shops, supermarkets also restaurants very close. Ps. hats off to Biju the lobby receptionist for making us coffee at 6am even tho he was not obliged to do so thankyou very much from James and Alex 🙂

The location was great, close to San Pietro train station and the Vatican, and a taxi rank just outside - it felt like we were very central, but quiet at night. The staff made us feel very welcome. The building has lots of character, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of our 4-bed room. Breakfast was better than expected, with yoghurt, cheese and meat in addition to the usual pastries and coffee.

the rooms need update very dark ion the rooms not enough light during the day. A smell in the bathroom. I think it’s the flushing water in the bathroom and you can hear everything they going on in the hall. needs better insulation. the staff were excellent and made it comfy.the beds need new mattresses, they were a little worn.Breakfast was served with a smile. the location is the best.

Extremely good location - literally on the edge of Vatican. Great breakfast, helpful staff. Very good price/quality ratio. Rooms are old, but functional. There was an old A/C in our room, which despite it's age, coped with the 32C heat very well :)

Although it says on site parking - it's not. You have to use one of the parking lots, located nearby. Cleanliness could be slightly better.

The proximity to St. Peter's, Castel St. Angelo, River Tiber and the Vatican made this hotel ideal for a stay. Plenty of places to eat nd enjoy a glass of wine or two when you return from sightseeing. And, a true gift, a Taxi stand right in front of the hotel with taxis of all sizes always available. That is a rare commodity in this congested city. Our pack was aged from early 20's to late 70's and we all liked it. That says a lot.

it is very close to the Vatican to go early am or late at night and the 64 bus stop is two bags away to go to the colliseum . breakfast was great and the room charming classic style . restaurant in the corner very good parking 60e would come back

the entrance lobby had too many sofas looked like a train. or a moteland is the main photograph of their add .😞needs a little change it does not go with everything else which is . very nice timeless classic . will come back
