Hotel Gravina San Pietro

Location- *Perfect location if you’re planning to visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum. St. Peter’s Basilica is around 10-15 mins walk. It’s perfect if you want to roam around St. Peter’s Square at night. * There is a nice restaurant just beside the hotel. * There are cafes nearby. * The pharmacy is just a 5-min walk away. * Great Transport links- St Peter Station (for Trenitalia Railway in which you can go to Roma Termini with only 3 stops away. This station also serves regional trains i.e- Pisa). Ottaviano Station is also about 15-20 mins walk and allows you to use the Metro Line. Bus stops are also very close to this hotel. * There is a Carrefour Express nearby if you need some items from a supermarket. There is also a bigger supermarket as well which is about 30 minutes walk or 3-mins train ride from St. Peter Station. It is located in a mall called “Aura”. Cleanliness- They clean the room daily! The room is visibly clean. Good Facilities- Has a shower + bath. Bidet. Tea/coffee station, wardrobe, safe, TV, and a big bed! There is a balcony which would be very good if you want to smoke/have some fresh air. Buffet Breakfast- Saves you a lot of money, especially if you wanna load up for a long day in preparation for walking around the City Centre. Affordable- compared to other hotels in the area, the price is quite cheaper. Helpful staff :)

It’s not that I don’t like these things but probably some rooms for improvement: * Probably need a bit of modernisation- the electrical sockets, unlike other hotels, can only accommodate EU/Italy plug. No need to worry though as the staff will lend you an adapter with a deposit of 5 euros. They’ll return the deposit once you give the adapter back to them. * Limited choices for breakfast buffet- Can’t really complain though as with an affordable hotel price, they still manage to provide buffet breakfast. It probably might be better to have an alternate menu rather than always having egg and sausage daily for the hot food option.

The hotel is located close to the main attractions of the Vatican. There are terraces/restaurants in the area where you can have lunch or dinner. Bus stops are close by and you can easily go to the center of Rome. Also, S. Pietro train station is close and sea lovers can go to the beach in less than 1 hour. For breakfast you can choose from hot snacks (omelet, sausages), a sandwich with cheese or ham, or sweet tarts, fruit. Good coffee, you can choose an espresso, latte macchiato or cappuccino

The room is small for a family with children, but it was fine for 2 days. The cleaning in the rooms requires more attention.

The room was big enough for both of us, and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. 10mn or less walk to the Vatican and about 30mn to the Colosseum, depending on how fast or how much you like to walk, which we do. What I was more impressed with, are the staff. The day we arrived, Valerio was so helpful. Provided us with a map and highlighted all the important places to visit, which was greatly appreciated. Also, 2 days later we had a problem with the shower and the toilet, went down to the reception and spoke to Antonino, straight away he got someone not only to look at them but sort out the problem. Issues like these are bound to happen, what was impressive that they sorted them out quickly to avoid causing us stress, so we can enjoy our holiday as planned. The only thing, if had to be a bit negative about, will be the breakfast. You get basically the same thing every day, but for the money we paid I can't really complain. We had such a fantastic stay and if we go again, I will definitely go back. Valerio and Antonino, thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

really clean room, quality linen, good pillows, heating and cooling was great, bathroom was really good and plenty of hot water!. reception staff were very helpful as well and the location was very near the Vatican. a really great hotel - will definitely stay here next time in Rome. great work guys Pro tip - visiting St Peters - as you approach there will likely be a huge line trying to get in from the left side as you face St peters.... walk past that line - through the forecourt and go to the line in the right side - it was completely empty! i guess everyone coming from the train station or bus stop go to the first line they encounter. Happy trails...

The staff were amazing, extremely professional, super friendly and always on hand to help or offer tips. I am confined to a mobility scooter to get around and it was very easy for me to access everywhere I needed to go even though our room was on the fourth floor. There was plenty of room in our bedroom for me to park up to charge and still have space to move about. The room was clean and freshly made up every day which was nice to come back to after a long day out. Breakfast was very good and the options available as part of the continental breakfast were enough to keep us going until the afternoon. Even though the hotel is rated as a 3 star, it was better than a lot of 4 star hotels I've stayed in and I would most definitely go back for my next trip to Rome.

The only negative I can think of is that the lift only goes to the 5th floor and then you have to use stairs to access the rooftop bar and to see the view of St Peter's Basilica. For anyone like me who has a disability, this means the rooftop is off limits but since I has the view from my balcony and don't drink, it wasn't a problem for me as it may be for someone else.

Accommodations were great. Breakfast was great. Location was great. The very best part of this stay was Concierge Simon. From the second we arrived, Simon knew what questions to ask and suggestions to give from transportation to restaurants. Unfortunately, we ran into a huge problem due to poor weather in Rome and had to completely change our travel arrangements to board our cruise. Simon instantly stepped in and assisted with our new travel arrangements from taxis, flights, hotels and transfers thus making an immensely stressful situation very easy and with less stress. Huge shout out to Simon....... the best employee Hotel Gravina San Pietro has.

Stuff was very friendly! Breakfast was amazing, and omelette and sausages, hamon, cheese, different cakes, coffee! a lot of tasty things! big room, location near the Vatican, and view on the Cathedral, nearby there are very cheap souvenirs and 2 Carrefour shops

Our room was without shower, you should take in one hand a shower and another hand to use to clean yourself, it was very inconvenient Also I took a coffee to our room, and when we came back after the walk, my dirty cup was in the sink, maid poured this coffe, the sink was dirty and didn’t take it away, the empty cup was in the sink, and she didn’t bring us other things that we used it was no bathroom and slippers, the room was cold

The hotel was lovely! Staff were super welcoming and helpful. Lovely clean rooms with plenty of space and the shower/showers were really good too. Special mention to the gentleman who worked on the rooftop bar who was just lovely! Exception value for money.

Location wise it is perfect for Vatican City visits, but it’s quite a walk into the other typical tourist attractions so be comfy shoes are a necessity. Breakfast wasn’t to our taste but that’s a personal preference.

Staff were very nice and helpful. They immediately provide you with a map of the city center and recommendations of what to visit depending on your stay duration in Rome upon check in. Breakfast was quite good, with a good variety to accommodate international cuisines. The roof bar has a stunning view, and the bartender was exceptionally professional and talented.

The room's floor wasn't cleaned as part of room service. Only the bed and bathroom were cleaned/tidied.

The location is very central, we could just walk all around the most famous places in Rome, there are also many good and not expensive restaurants near the hotel! At night, the location was always silent and nothing was disturbing my sleeping.

The breakfast was not so cool. The choice was every day the same and if you are vegan, it is maybe better not to pay for the breakfast. I would also expect more of the equipment in the room such as flipflops, bathrobe...
