Hotel Scalinata Di Spagna

We loved staying at the hotel. Fabrisio runs an excellent staff and accommodations. There is always someone manning the desk day and night. They are attentive and aware of your stay there. The staff cleans the rooms at a high level of cleanliness. The personal that takes care of the daily breakfast does it with pride and care. Everything is set out in the morning to perfection. They offer a breakfast that includes scrambled eggs, bacon, Vienna sausages, croissants, cakes, cereal, mini muffins, fruit, toast, coffee, there is an espresso maker, water, milk, and other pastries. For a family of four with high school kids this is ideal. They offer laundry service, 4 waters daily. The room had a mini fridge as well as access to Netflix and other streaming apps. Air conditioning worked well. The location of the hotel is excellent as it sits on top of the Spanish steps. There are two restaurants adjacent to the hotel with excellent service and staff. The restaurant below the hotel makes excellent mixed drinks.

Excellent location, right on top of the Spanish Steps. Lots of great restaurants around. The taxi stop is right in front of the hotel. Very convenient location. Our room is not big, but it has a great view of Rome. I can see St. Peter's Basilica in distance, with great sunset and sunrise views. Breakfast is fresh, and has plenty of choices. The breakfast area is cozy. Staff and owner are all very helpful and friendly. Very good experience overall. Will recommend to friends.

Hope the room is bigger. For four people, my suite is small. But the view is fantastic.

We were in the Panorama Room and it had a wonderful view of all of Vatican City to Pantheon. Very tastefully decorated, well designed, and very spacious. Beautiful room with large windows on three sides. Spacious bathroom. Great location at top of Spanish Steps.

Access to room is outside of main reception from a separate door on street but no big deal. A/C had a bit of trouble keeping up during summer heat and the large windows. Overlooks the square on one side at top of Spanish Steps so you do hear some traffic but it is not much. It is a great view as well so get over it.

The location was right above the Spanish Steps, close to all the high end shops. The view from our Suite was panoramic and absolutely spectacular. The terrace was very spacious and comfortable furniture. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Staff outstanding and accommodating! Will definitely highly recommend and plan to return.

The room was a little warm. You had to put your room key in the AC unit. Took a bit of time to get cool. A ceiling fan would be nice to have. They did supply some water in the mini refrigerator but some sodas would have been a nice option too. Maybe provide a list to guests before arrival. Hotel Savoy (stayed previous night) had a lot of options to choose from the refrigerator. I like that very much!

The location of the Hotel Scalinata Di Spagna is absolutely perfect. You are right near the Spanish Steps and the Piazza Mignanelli. You could not ask for a better location. We were in the annex rather than the hotel itself and that was the best! Our daughter and son-in-law had their room right next door and that was so convenient. The rooms were large, extremely clean and perfect for what we were looking for. We did walk up to the hotel each morning for breakfast and it was wonderful. There was a bit of protein as well as breads/sweets, coffee, juice and fruit. We will certainly book our next trip to Rom at the Hotel Scalinata Di Spagna as we loved the location and how easy it was to walk to attractions, shopping and restaurants. Do not overlook this hotel!

Breakfast could use more fresh fruit, cut-in slices, and more variety of natural, raw options. There is no communal space, no lobby, no sitting area no lobby bathroom, which can be inconvenient to some travelers. But the staff was exceptionally accommodating and helpful, which compensated for any potential inconvenience.

I really liked the location of this hotel. It is just a stone's throw away from the Spanish Steps and the fountain of Trevi is just a few minutes walk . The shops are down below so close at Via Condotti, a well known shopping street. Everything about the location is just perfect. Shopping and dining and sightseeing is just within reach. most perfect location for a tourist in Rome. Its very clean and cozy. Even with the renaissance interior of the hotel, it still has a nice and vibrant feel since it was well maintained and the furnishings are not worn. Also they have a nice cozy breakfast area where it gives one a pleasure to dine. Its a small hotel but i really love it.

Well, its just that there was no door to separate the 2 bedroom suite we stayed in. Ideally the room is for a family of 4, mom dad and 2 kids... or maybe friends traveling together. But for couples who wants privacy better get 2 different room with its own toilet.:)

I have to say that everything was great. Very friendly staff especially the guy that works at the desk with red glasses and grey hair. My time off arriving was more earlier then the check in, that wasn’t any problem because as soon they clean the room they gave us the keys. Excellent view from my room to one of the most iconic design ateliers😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 The hotel location is priceless literally near to Scalinatas Di Spagnia, Church, Metro and all the designers boutiques. Definitely this is a hotel that I will select again ♥️

Panoramic suite had the most amazing view of Rome. Could see most of the city, and had spectacular sunset. Worth every penny! We travelled with a small child and we're able to enjoy Rome from our patio 24/7 even if little one was too tired for sightseeing. Excellent staff, very kind and polite. Room was clean, spaceous, well lit and overall pleasant. Pricey, but great value for money.

Minor things: suite was in a building with tiny elevator, so it took 2 trips to being all our stuff in. To be expected in old construction. Some city noise at night, due to location at popular tourist spot.
