Carpets and cushions in rooms should be refreshed

The staff were extremely amazing! Every single member was so helpful and friendly. This alone would make me book again next time in Dubai. There are also 4 restaurants, our room was left very clean every day and turned down at night which was a lovely touch. Recommend visiting the pool on 4th floor, nice and quiet, lovely menu and great views of Burj Khalifa.

There was nothing we didn’t like or enjoy about the property. The hotel is about 10 minutes from Dubai Mall and 20/25 minutes from Atlantis so we did get taxis everywhere, nothing was really walking distance however taxis are very affordable so wasn’t an issue at all! Would 100% go back. Thank you Shangri-La, miss you already

Amazing cost-benefit, the location of hotel is near to Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and many others touristic places. Was close to the metro as well, that we could arrive almost inside the Dubai Mall ( since is extremally hot on summer, this is good to walk on AC ). The breakfast was splendid, specially the eggs bennedict. The room has a incredible view of Burj Khalifa and downtown Dubai, beautiful. In the reagion there are many shops, cafés not expensive as Dubai Mall, wich is good for those who don't want to pay hundreds for a decent meal. We will come back soon! Worth it!

There's nothing to dislike, everything was great while we stayed there. I think that the extra cost on arrival, extra retention on card, should be notified at the moment we close the reservation on Booking. I think that this was the only thing we didn't expected, but the rest was amazing

The management team at reception was of exceptionally high class. Not only they arranged things I didn’t ask for, as a compliment, they also were very understanding regarding my aituaion and acted just like I expected from such a luxury hotel - with the best decisions for a client. In the booking, I asked for a room on a higher floor and a corner view - that’s what I got (35th floor room with a terrific view on Burj Khalifa). I was also going to propose to my girlfriend during that stay, so after that happened and we returned to our room, we found a compliment from the hotel (a chocolate pie with “Congratulations” written on a plate, and a fruit basket). Last but not least, it turns out that the access to a swimming pool at floor 42 and terrace on the same floor - is actually not for everyone and you either need to stay at the special suits at floors 42-48 (i think i got the floors correctly, but may be i am mistaken) or purchase a special access to a lounge zone (with many benefits, including unlimited beverages, happy hours, afternoon tea and a free breakfast on terrace). I didn’t know about that at the check-in and I got very dissapointed as the floor 42 swimming pool and the terrace were of a great value for me while choosing the hotel for a stay - so the management team allowed us the access to these facilities for free - which was very pleasant. In short - the hotel and the facilites were of a luxury class and status, but what i enjoyed most was the treatment from the management team at the reception which deserves applouse.

Access to the swimming pool and the terrace on floor 42 is actually a part of a paid access to the lounge zone on floor 41 (with many benefits, including unlimited beverages, happy hours, afternoon tea and a free breakfast on terrace, etc.) - which was unexpected. It should be stated more clear at the booking process.

Everything from the initial contact with door assistants, concierge, dining, reception and front desk staff were superior compared with any other hotels I have stayed in at the same price.

The rooftop pool area is amazing with its views to the Burj Khalifa. We had the floating breakfast on my birthday and it was truly special, plus the food was great. Beyond that, the food is all around such good quality, we ate at Hoi An (Vietnamese) twice and had the best meal of our trip there, plus the staff were wonderful. We also ate at Chang Palace (Chinese) which was delicious, and had the most amazing room service we've ever had in a hotel one evening too. We also ate at the evening buffet which was well stocked with a lot of variety. Room was spacious and very clean. The indoor pool and view from Level 42 is also just spectacular. We also had a great view from our room. Finally, we were also offered late checkout at 4pm, which helped for our 2am flight.

Service at the pool area was really slow and our drinks orders were forgotten twice (took nearly an hour to get a bottle of water). For the hot tub area to work requires staff to turn the bubbles on, which was often slow, taking up to 20 minutes to get someone to do so.

Staff!! I must say about Khodarahm. Never see such an energetic and helpful staff in any of hotel I stayed. He is the best. Very customer friendly and loving person. He still remember me even after one year I came again to the hotel. In my both stay was very nice due to staff mentality. But I have one recommendation on the receptionist staff, one lady staff. She needs to learn how to face the customer with a smiling face. Must have tired but they are the face of hotel!

Food. I had breakfast this time and last year too. It’s not improved. Not 5star quality and not much choices. Poor cold cuts, poor quality seafood, especially salmon had with egg Benedict was horrible.

The rooms are large and comfortable. If you stay here, definitely include breakfast as it’s a real treat with everything you could possibly want. The view of the Burj Khalifa from the pool is great and it’s a wonderful place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city! The location is ideal, only around a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro and the hotel run a complimentary shuttle bus every hour to Dubai mall which is a really nice touch. What makes this hotel special though is the staff. From the second we arrived, they were absolutely exceptional. We would have to give a special mention to Nazifa at breakfast who really went above and beyond for us and made us feel so welcome. Khodarahm the door man who has the most wonderful welcoming nature and a huge smile every time! Yadhu at the pool bar really looked after us and made the nicest cocktails. Also Pritam in housekeeping who put rose petals on our bed and made everything so beautiful. The concierge are brilliant too, Moeen in particular. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

The ShangPalace was AMAZING. The staff were excellent. I had to dine there twice as good as it was, and I was only in the hotel for three nights. The Valet staff were excellent and very helpful as well, the same with the room service team (Jhon) and the housekeeping team.

I wouldn't say I liked the pillows, which were uncomfortable, but I asked for extra pillows, and the team provided them. I would recommend you change them. The lady who checked me in needed to show her beautiful smile, and the check-in took a long time. The same comments apply to the check-out. But overall, I would stay there again.

The hotel is great with all its facilities, I enjoyed very much the beauty and view of the room, the internet is very fast and the room is soundproof. Most of all, all the hotel staff are professional and prompt, especially the spa and cafe staff (Near the pool) on the 4th floor, they made my stay enjoyable with their excellent service and kindness.

If you order from Talabat, Deliveroo or any other food or dessert application, you must pick it up yourself at the hotel reception or directly from the driver. I find the lack of service to deliver the order to the room a bit annoying. As most 5 Star Hotels receive the order on your behalf and deliver it to your room.
