Our hosts are lovely people and we would go back to see them. The house is beautiful and the garden was wonderful for the children to play in. Breakfast and dinner are home cooked and excellent. Eating in the dining room is lovely as the table is set and we even had candles lit on the table I felt we had stayed in a friend's home. The location is very good being near Bamburgh, Lindesfarne, Alnwick and Cragside. Its a peaceful rural idyll which is a fantastic base. Great for walkers. We went on a deer safari organised by our hosts and was a unique experience. Our guide took us to the top of the farm hills showing us interesting historical remains, glacial formation and of course the animals. Going out in the off roader was great fun and took us high to wonderful views.

We loved everything. One morning we did not have hot water though we did not mention this while we were there. It could have been resolved if we had said

This is a beautiful house in a stunning location ideally placed for hillwalking in the Cheviots and close to major tourist attractions. Jane and Adrian are charming hosts and Jane is a terrific cook. The breakfasts were delicious and dinner was also wonderful. Our room was comfortable and elegant and doubled as a lovely living room. We had French doors onto a beautiful garden. I would love to stay here again very soon. We would wholeheartedly recommend Ingram House to anyone.

There was nothing we didn't like!

Spacious King Room. Amazing location close to Iron Age Hill Forts and national park. Beautiful house and gardens. Amazing hosts. Wonderful breakfast with quality ingredients.

Just to be aware but no problem for us... *Traditional bathroom - Only bath is available and old style toilet means needs a few flushes. *No exterior key available and lodgers are encouraged to be out of house from 1030 to 4.30pm. *Private bathroom for double bed room (yellow walls) was down the corridor.

It was a lovely quiet place in the middle of nowhere. Adrian was a brilliant host and interesting to chat too. The house and room had loads of character and was well presented. The breakfast was all sourced locally and was very pleasant. House Martins were nesting in the top corner of the window which was lovely to see.

We could have done with a table or other surface in the bathroom to put our things, otherwise was lovely. We only stayed one night as we were going onwards in our trip so wasn't a problem.

Really comfortable room. Very interesting host. Lovely evening meal (you'll need to book ahead for that). Lovely garden and super location. The cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt and home made jams provided at breakfast were all really tasty.

Slightly disappointing cooked element to the breakfast, barely a full slice of bacon with one egg and tomato and not as hot as I would have liked. But I could have had a sausage as well, as my husband chose to, and the option of smoked salmon and scrambled egg the following day was lovely. The cereals etc. also provided (see above) were lovely, so I'm really just being greedy!

Jane and Adrian are outstanding hosts and made us very welcome in their beautiful home. We loved our room overlooking the front garden. The surrounding landscape is stunning and it is very peaceful and quiet. We had a two course dinner which was excellent as was the following day's breakfast. We were driving from Edinburgh to York and it made a perfect stopover.

That we had to leave so soon! We'd love to come back and explore the history and countryside of Northumberland.

Idyllic property in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Delicious breakfast and evening meal. Nice to have a home cooked meal after a day of walking.

We were a last minute booking so had the double room with private bathroom. Others have said the bed was small which didn’t bother us. The luxurious begging made up for it. Our bathroom was down the corridor which again didn’t bother us but some might prefer en-suite so just something to be aware of. We’ll be back I’m sure and if we’re more organised we’ll book an en-suite bedroom and will look forward to those delicious sausages for breakfast again.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Far from the maddening crowd! We received a warm welcome and made to feel at ease in their beautifully furnished home. I think you could stay there a hundred times and still find something interesting to muse over. The bedroom boasted an extremely comfortable Elizabethan heirloom bed. Have not slept so well in ages. The old claw foot bath was lovely to soak in after a day’s walking. Lovely breakfast made with local fayre and the gooseberries and local preserves were delicious too. The hosts are a wonderful font of knowledge and in our short stay, we were happy we’d listened to them. Overall, a wonderful experience.

It was a real gem! The house is gorgeous and Jane and Adrian are excellent hosts - warm and friendly as they welcome you into their family home. The bedroom was traditionally decorated, excellent facilities and really comfortable. It's a treat to eat in the dining room where the breakfast was delicious every day. Nothing is too much trouble - you are very well looked after!

This bedroom did not have an ensuite BUT we did have our own private bathroom and so this was NOT an issue for us at all.

A beautiful, elegant house in the Breamish valley, this felt like a much-loved family home. It's in a perfect position for exploring the scenery and archaeology of the Cheviot hills but within easy reach of Alnwick, Rothbury and Wooler. Our bedroom was very comfortable and the breakfast was gorgeous. Jane was a very friendly, welcoming host.
