The Tankerville arms Hotel is warm, cosy, and full of character, I arrived in December,to be welcomed by a beautiful Xmas tree at the bottom of the staircase, A log fire welcomed you into the dining room, which had cosy chairs around the fire, A bar with every drink you would ever want, The hosts are welcoming, and helpful if you need to know anything about the area, Bedrooms are very clean, mine was en-suite, with anything you might need , definitely will stay here again

The room was comfortable and very clean. The water pressure for the shower was poor, but the water pressure for the bath was good. A good breakfast is provided, and the evening meals were very good and very filling. The staff are very pleasant and very helpful. This is now my sixth time here, and I intend to return.

The shower water pressure in my room was very poor. It is however still very useable. The wifi is really only useable in the bar, but this really wasn't a problem for me.

The beer garden and the general hotel were very nice. Nice grassy place outback to sit and have a drink and have a dog nearby. Staff are wonderful and accommodating. I changed from a not-so-great room to an extremely nice one.

The room I was placed in on the first night was too hot, and the windows didn't open! It's a bit far from the shops if you're walking, but that can be a good thing.

The stay was booked for elderly disabled relatives. All the rooms are up a flight of stairs, however there weren't too many stairs for them to negotiate. During the day there is only one member of staff, so service can be a bit slow. Having said that, The lady was very helpful and pleasant and did her best to meet the demands of her guests and pub customers. We had an evening meal which was very nice.

The room is comfortable and clean. This is a 17th century Inn, so expect the odd creaking floorboard and uneven flooring. Breakfast is good, and evening meals range from good to excellent. The staff are very friendly and aim to please. There is a lovely beer garden at the back.

This is my 4th visit, and I am booked in again in September so there is nothing i dislike as i have come to know what to expect. It is not a 5 star hotel, but an old historic Inn which serves me well, as do all the staff who are very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed overnight at the hotel. We had dinner there. The menus choice was good and the quality was great (better than we expected). It's in the village of Wooler which provided a lovely evening walk after dinner. I would recommend it for the food alone.

The décor is a bit tired, but consistent with it being a historic building. That said there were a lot of interesting antiques.

Friendly welcome. The Staff. Secluded car park (we travelled by motorcycle). Lovely atmosphere. Farne Beer. Great location. Other guests

The Tankerville Arms is an old property. Some fixtures and Fittings towards the end of their lives. Nothing is 'perfect' and one could find a myriad of faults but we looked at the 'Big Picture'.

Breakfast was excellent, as were all the staff we came into contact with. The beer garden was nice and relaxing to sit in. We also felt our motorcycles were safe, as the car park is secluded from the main road which runs past the hotel.

I had a bath in my room, but you couldn't get hot water out of the tap. A hot soak would have been nice after a 220 mile motorcycle ride to Wooler. Not a big issue, but something to be aware of. Also, we came back to the Hotel at about 10.30pm, just fancied a "night cap" before bed, when we got back the bar was in darkness and the staff were going home. Again, not a big issue, but the first time we have ever come across this.

I’m a self employed courier and sometimes need a hotel when I’m travelling long distances, I booked this after passing and was very glad I did. The welcome of staff and locals was brilliant, I’m a light sleeper but no need to worry as it was so peaceful thanks for a wonderful stay and excellent breakfast.

Only complaint was the shower took an age to get hot.

Staff were very helpfull and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The food was great and no complaints on that score. Very welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of parking at the rear of the property and The Tankerville arms is within easy reach of all the local amenities

Room (room 17) was a bit cold however as I wasn't intending to be in it apart from sleeping there was no complaints. Decor a bit dated and the furniture could do with updating.
