Room very clean and bed comfortable. Quiet location in small village. Staff friendly. Note: cooked breakfast is not provided on site although a continental style breakfast can be ordered and left outside your door. The local post office/grocery store however do sell a good cooked breakfast to eat in or take away, only a short walk away. Would recommend.

Room very warm during recent hot weather, no fan provided. No hairdryer in room. Ceiling spot lighting was very bright, no bedside lamps or subdued lighting provided. We booked for 2 nights, approximately 9.30am on the first morning the cleaner unlocked and opened our door, we were still in bed. She apologised when she realised.

The rooms in this village inn are recently refurbished to a good standard. Very fair rate, breakfast option was provided as a choice for delivery the evening before which worked well for me. The landlord also has a microbrewery and serves his own beer. Food was hearty and good. It was Burn's Night so there was a piper for the folk who had bought tickets.

My room was really hot - I turned down the room radiator but I couldn't shut down the bathroom rad. It was only one night so I didn't mention. Everything else was very good.

Lovely Pub/Hotel in a quiet village. Rooms were very comfortable, clean with a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The food in the restaurant was delicious and great value. The singing landlord was really nice and friendly and would sing to almost every song playing in the background which was good fun and made us giggle. The price for the rooms was great value for money, you wont get a hot cooked breakfast. We knew this before we booked so it was not an issue for us. The pub itself is lovely and the locals were nice and friendly too.

Not a lot it was lovely, If I had to say what I didn't like it would be that there isn't a lot to do around the pub/hotel as its a small pretty village.

Staff were friendly and check in was straightforward. Rooms were clean and bright. Breakfast was a "basket" with cereal, pain au chocolate, apple, milk and orange Juice. They tried hard to accommodate the dietary needs of one of our group. (Unfortunately her diet is more complicated than caffeine, gluten and lactose free, so some choices that normally work don't, e.g. the apple normally included wasn't suitable).

Offer a cooked breakfast. Have a breakfast menu sheet where you tick off the items you require. Breakfast was eaten in the room, but no chair or table to sit at - it was breakfast in bed!

Everything about the Nelthorpe Arms exceeded my expectations. The room was perfect, large with big bathroom, very quiet and spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was great. Can't wait to stay there again. The only thing that could have been better was the weather!! Everything else was perfect. I was there for a family funeral and travelling alone and everyone was so friendly and made the trip easier. I would highly recommend the Nelthorpe Arms to anyone, it is a real gem in the countyside and great place to recharge and relax. A++++

We couldn’t have been made more welcome. The owner and his excellent staff were great. The accommodation was very modern and spotlessly clean and included sufficient tea, coffee, towels, toiletries. We dined in the restaurant, it was the curry night special , which we chose, oh wow, the homemade chips were scrumptious and a great curry. The breakfast offered was continental, which was adequate for our needs but Gavin advised of a full English breakfast freshly cooked at the post office round the corner if required. Thanks for a lovely stay and as we are moving to the area, we will definitely be visiting again.

The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. There is no cooked breakfast provided but you can order cereals and fruit the night before and it is left on a tray outside your room with the milk in a flask We had not ordered the next days breakfast due to returning quite late and the staff had still provided a breakfast for us. Great service.

Very pleasant staff , made to feel welcome from the start. The room was lovely. Very clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely evening meal, the only thing I would say is it would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast in the dining area as it was a nice room. We had a nice walk along the foreshore in the afternoon then back for a pint. This was a little chill out time just for the two of us and it certainly delivered on that. Would definitely recommend it as a friendly cosy place to stay. Lovely staff… Thankyou.

A cooked breakfast would be nice… but the basket with our choice of food in was very nice 😋

The hotel was perfect for the purpose of my trip. Super friendly, accommodating staff and made to feel like a local from the off. Rooms are very clean and have been done up to a high standard. The restaurant and pub attached are great facilities and would love to visit again at some point. Overall, the Nelthorpe has a great atmosphere about the place. Big thanks to all the staff!

Accommodation and staff were great and would stay again based on this alone, the pub had a lovely restaurant but not available during our Sunday night stay

No food available on the evening of our stay. Too remote and nowhere local to go as an alternative, although there were a few locals that were good company during our stay, would definitely consider going again as group with friends but would choose at date when the restaurant was available
