Staff - who were without exception welcoming and helpful. Complimentary parking in choice of two local city centre car parks. Evening meal - food quality - go for a three meat salad- brilliant. USB by bed for charging phone overnight. Tea/coffee/water in room with fridge and portable Airtcn-just in case of a flash summer! LGBT Friendly and picked up the mood for HullPride weekend.

'Chunky bacon' at breakfast - something thinner cut would be less of a challenge (and healthier). Limited 'non-cooked' options beyond Yoghurt and fruit - some cold neat or cheese would be good as well as maybe a croissant alternative to sliced white or brown bread. Egg Bendict could be served with cold, fresh ham, rather than 'Chunky bacon' which actually overwhelmed the dish.

Beautiful little hotel in a nice part of town. We were completely surprised by the cosy and sizeable room we had with very comfortable beds and all the facilities you need. The entire hotel is exceptionally clean and tidy and smells so good. The staff were helpful and friendly even when we had to take our breakfast earlier they accomodated us. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and so was the generous breakfast.

The only point of improvement to an already exceptional stay is the pillows. They were hard, and as there was only one type, it did not cater to those requiring less support.

Very nIce, friendly staff. Room was well furnished and clean. Comfortable bed and good breakfast served quickly. Nice quiet spot at night -even after Theatre turned out. Has lots of character . Arrived too late for food (pity) but staff directed me to a good but basic Chinese restaurant round the corner. Good shower with soap and shower gel provided.

Nothing really . Had to park about 6 minutes walk away but knew that from their information and could have parked outside after theatre closed. Gave details in advance and when I arrived. Had to work around roadworks and closures on way in to hull and find hotel but got there in the end!

Size of the room

Basic large room classed as a junior suite, would have expected a bit more luxary. Bed and pillows hard. Very noisy with traffic as not double glazed. Quite old fashioned. No biscuits with the tea in the room, but they appeared the next day! They cleaned the room whilst we had breakfast, around my underwear etc. We were only staying one night. Perhaps wait until we had left to clean the room. On arrival advised the kitchen was closed, so had to find elsewhere to eat, wpuld have been nice to be told before arriving as not been to Hull before and didnt know where to go. Staff friendly and breakfast nice. 15 min walk to the centre. Parking 10 min walk away in an open public car park, or pay every 2 hours outside the hotel. Nice but wouldnt go back.

The bed was great, all very clean ,nice to have a fridge, great location, staff were wonderful friendly and kind .the breakfast was beautiful.

On arrival we were notified that we had been upgraded, on arrival to the room expecting a good nights sleep after a long day, before we left to attend a show at the theatre the family in the room above us had noisy children jumping around. when we arrived back 10.45 pm children still jumping off beds ( bang bang bang). 12.30pm I went down to the night porter explained what was going on, he replied do you want me to go and have a word, yes I replied 1.00pm we finally got to sleep. awakened again 6.00am (Bang Bang Bang) Children at it again. Left tired exhausted and annoyed.

The hotel was able to handle a very late booking and had everything ready for my arrival. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable and had everything I needed, with thoughtful touches (like a pillow spray instead of a pillow chocolate!) and some good quality sample toiletries. Breakfast was generous and served cooked to my requirements and piping hot. The reception team were careful to save me from a parking problem and gave me a permit for a convenient local car park and also provided a handy map. The late check-out (11am) was very convenient and enabled me to finish some vital work before my trip. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Hull is only an hour away from my home but I would strongly consider staying over at this hotel after seeing a play or local show. I will also warmly recommend it to friends and family.

From the moment we arrived all the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Although this is an old building it is beautifully maintained and has a character that so many modern hotels do not. Our room was on the third floor and thankfully there is a lift, a great benefit now we’re getting a bit older! The weather was bitterly cold but every part of the hotel was warm especially our room which was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Hull but especially if you are going to The New Theatre as it is just across the square, barely a hundred yards walk.

We would prefer a bigger bed and will pay a little more for an upgraded room next time, still good value for money.

Room was immense, bed was big and comfortable. The restaurant was cosy with a lovely friendly atmosphere and a decent range of food cooked beautifully. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We liked it so much we extended our stay Room had a couch, ironing board, range of ambiance light setting. Warm as we visited in winter and the bathroom had every thing and again warm. City centre a walk away and given a parking permit so didn't have to leave on check out.

Can't think of a thing. Only things really are just Advice...stairs outside the buildings wasn't sure of the wheel chair facility but they may have them...and tiniest inconvenience of the car park being on the next street round the corner so again if in a wheel chair or it's bucketing it down like when we arrived we got soaked but that's just being petty

The welcome, service and support from staff was amazing. Our room was comfortable and spacious and we were upgraded at no extra cost following a mix up in extending our booking. I love the location. It is in a quiet, peaceful haven in the city close to the New Hull Theatre and an easy walk to the city centre. Meals were freshly made and tasty. Reliable wifi. Complimentary parking for residents.

The hotel is a little old fashioned but perfectly comfortable. I would have liked fresh sourdough bread available; and also feather pillows and down duvets in the suite rooms.

We cannot fault the hotel, the staff were very helpful, they were very obliging in letting us check in early. The room was very comfortable, roomy and clean with lots of power outlets. Parking and breakfast were included and we booked for dinner as well. It is in a lovely quiet location but still very easy walking distance to city. Even provided umbrellas for wet weather! We wished we had known about the theatre across the park earlier and would have booked tickets for a show as well.
