Clare and Gene were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The staff were also friendly and helpful. As my wife and I are not either Vegetarian or Vegan we did not know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised by the breakfasts that Clare produced which were very appetising. We were encouraged to help ourselves to the fruit bowl and the choices of bread laid out on the table in the dining room which were very tasty and available 24/7. I think the house can be described as a bit quirky and we would consider staying here again.

As we are traditional tea drinkers we like cow's milk in our tea and so bought some milk which we kept in the fridge that was provided in the dining room. I wouldn't call this a criticism, more of an inconvenience.

We had a delightful stay of three nights at Jesmond House. The house is situated in a rather grand part of Hull with nearby park and our room was comfortable. Clare & Gene were so welcoming and offered the use of a lounge area and breakfast areas at any time. The large house felt friendly and had some lovely stained glass and interesting features with cute dogs, hens, budgerigars and fish. The self service breakfast with prepared goodies in the fridge was very tasty and convenient and we enjoyed sitting in the conservatory overlooking the garden. We walked into Hull each day where we found the riverside museum complex to be excellent and the covered Trinity Market was buzzing with food and even musical offerings. We got a ticket for The Deep late afternoon and saw the popular bits when school parties had gone home and came back the next day to see the rest when it was busier. Sadly the Maritime Museum was closed for renovation.

There was nothing we didn't like but space in room was a bit limited if we had come with a lot of bags - not an issue for our stay.

We were there second time and already plan next time. Wonderfully lovely hosts. Beautiful Interior of the room and the whole house. Laid back feel. Very comfy bed. Breakfast in conservatory or in the rose garden. 7 types of teas, 4 types of coffee, few types of bread for breakfast. Delicious hand made muesli, avocado dip and fruit salad freshly prepared by hosts. Provided quality shampoo & conditioner & shower gel. Soft bedding and towels. Beautiful area to walk around and next to streets full of restaurants-more than 30!

Nothing. We love this B&B and already plan to return. .

Lovely host and gorgeous location, really enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious and really lovely to relax in, breakfast was nice although could have had a few more options with toast but just down to personal preference.

The bed was really uncomfortable a lot of the stay and the frame would dislodge at the slightest movement so made it a bit annoying when sitting down on it and what have you. The smell of incense was a bit much for me but again personal preference.
