We loved the Manor House! It is right next to the Abbey and church and has lovely views of the castle and the sea. We enjoyed the bar and had a fabulous meal in their restaurant. Staying overnight on the island means you can wander around in total peace and quiet and enjoy coming back to this lovely old pub. The staff we great, especially the barman who ended up being the jack-of-all trades. We wish we had asked his name. Parking is in the courtyard- couldn’t be easier.

Not a thing.

We came to stay at Manor House as part of our Honeymoon trip and did not disappoint! The room had the most amazing view of the sea and castle and the hotel was lovely and cosy, the Meal in the bar on the evening was exceptional with a good couple of meal options for Vegans. The Hotel was a short walk from everything and allowed us to explore the island at ease. The staff were all very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, they made us feel very welcome.

The only thing we struggled with was regulating the shower temperature, we couldn't get the hot water through. Other than this our stay was amazing and a very memorable trip.

What was there to like about the hotel? The interior design was in keeping with the unique setting, and seemed to be of historical importance. Anyone can stay in an ultra-modern impersonal hotel anywhere in the world, but this hotel is welcoming, friendly and like staying with friends, with a real charm that is often lacking elsewhere. At breakfast, the Craster kippers were a delight. I was never under-fed at dinner and particularly enjoyed the muscles, crab and haddock. The view from my room at dawn of the castle and harbour were other-worldly. Unforgettable.

I can't think of anything I disliked. Each and every member of staff made my stay very special. The joy of being on the island is the history, the walks and the food. The islanders face the challenge of getting supplied while the tide is out. It would be unreasonable to expect any more hotel facilities than those on offer, which I considered excellent and appropriate to the location.

The location was amazing, and the staff super helpful despite it being a very busy location. The restaurant food was amazing. We stayed in the attic suite, which was spacious and clean, with great views.

The shower was a little stiff, preventing us getting much hot water. We just used the bath anyway which was enough. The WiFi for the island is very weak and most websites would not work. Guests should be made more aware of evening meals needing to be booked in advance in restaurants outside the hotel, with only three restaurants on the island guests can end up being unable to find somewhere to eat and guests should be made more aware of this.

Generally good visit, staff worked hard, food was good quality although I was served a strange prawn curry, not as described on the menu, more peppers and carrots than i would eat in a week. Staff did admit I had been served the wrong curry, still charged full price for it though presumably because it did contain some large prawns.

Room was very large with sea view but some furniture was really old and dated and dressing table badlly marked. Bathroom mirror sensor did not work, light poor in places. No plug in basin and although hot water is good, the hot water taps were excessively hot, to the point that I burned my hand when running the hot water.

The location was fantastic. It was as if we became Holy Islanders for the duration of our stay. Lindisfarne is not exactly a big place but The Manor House Hotel is ideally placed to explore its secrets and it was so nice not to have to worry about getting a dinner reservation every night!

The plumbing was a bit antiquated and our bed mattress looked like it had seen better days. Funnily enough, these are things that would have been very annoying at other places, but The Manor House Hotel is so charming, it didn't seem like such a big deal.

I can not say enough positive things about this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The room was amazing, had phenomenal views, and was just perfect. Note that not all the rooms have excellent views and some look directly into another building, or are quite small. The best rooms in the house are a trek up old stairs of varying heights. So. Many. Stairs. Pack light is what I'm saying. The food is excellent. I really want their recipe for the mushroom and tarragon soup! Excellent music as well. There is parking for guests right outside in a small car park. Don't make the mistake we did and park at the main car park and lug your luggage through the whole village!

Parking arrangements could be more clear. Check out is at 10 AM, which is pretty early given nothing much opens in the village until after 10. We had moved our car to the car park for the hotel and then had to move again at 10 to the car park requiring payment across the village so we could visit attractions and make purchases from the shops.

Beautiful scenery, amazing location and so rich in history! The Manor House Hotel was a wonderful place to stay overnight on our journey down south, we only wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was exceptional and very helpful in any needs or questions we had. Our daughter loved running about the courtyard and ruins that are right next to the hotel and didn't want to leave. The restaurant was decadently delicious and a charming atmosphere. The breakfast was also very delicious and a nice selection to choose from, our table had a window facing the priory ruins which was absolutely beautiful! We also found a lovely cafe not far away for a nice coffee too as we left to continue our journey. We look forward to staying again in the future. We completely fell in love with the island and the hotel! Thank you so much to the lovely staff that helped make our stay amazing!

There wasn't anything not to like!

The staff are amazing! nothing was too much trouble. our stay was 1 night on friday 23/09/2020. Richard and the team where fantastic, breakfast exceptional. the price was £230 for the night including breakfast so a little pricey however i do believe we had an exceptional room in an amazing location. Thank you once again too the staff you are fabulous.

I would like to leave a message for the owners/ senior management of the property.... unless you are paying these people over and above the rate, then you need more staff. they worked tirelessly to make the price worth it.

We had a lovely 2 nights away, the staff were outstanding and made us feel welcome and well looked after. The food was excellent although a little expensive for what it was.

There were parts of the hotel that were a little shabby for example table cloth at breakfast was dirty. I did feel the information book in our room could have been updated and include some information about local amenities such as places to eat, post office etc although staff were happy to tell us there. Our room was above the kitchen and on our second night was very noisy until 10pm with loud music and shouting from kitchen staff which could have been upsetting to another guest.
