Canasta Hotel

Friendly staff. Fab location. Right on the beach front, amazing waking up to that view every morning! We prefer to be slightly away from the hustle and bustle, but within walking distance. This hotel is exactly that. So we can have all the fun and rowdiness in the day, but downtime at night. Maximum 10 minute walk to North Pier which was ideal, as no noise from the bars etc when trying to sleep, but not too far for my little ones to walk. We enjoyed playing pool in the bar, wish it stayed open a little later.

We arrived at the back end of our allocated time (time to arrive between 5 and 6, and we arrived at 5.45) but were then made to sit and wait for 40 minutes because they hadn't yet cleaned our room. Not ideal when we'd driven for 5 hours and wanted to get settled and go out to eat. But not a deal breaker, more an inconvenience. Then on arrival to our room, found there to be several hair claw clips scattered around and an empty can of coke on the desk, so clearly not thoroughly cleaned. Bedding and bathroom were spotless though. Also the decor etc is a little dated, but that doesn't really matter too much! Advertised as having a bar, which it does, to an extent. But no soft drinks available, and only multipack cans of beer and cider served, and charged pub pint prices.

The management where friendly and customer focused aiming to provide the best service possible at an affordable cost..

The management have only recently taken over the tenancy and work on behalf of the premises owner , the premises is in need of maintenance and modernisation to facilitate disabled access & update the interior decor, unfortunately this includes the lift to the various floors so luggage has to be carried manually up the numerous stairs that is quite strenuous and impractical for elderly guests… but all obstacles could be overcome with cash investment and appropriate maintenance..

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, tidy and the beds were comfy. Our room had a lovely sea view too which was a brilliant bonus. We got chatting to the owner, Jackie who was really nice and has great invisionment for the hotel going forward! The hotel is only a short walk into the centre or there is a tram stop basically outside the hotel if you don't want to walk or the weather is against you. Excellent value for money here! We look forward to going back again! 😁

The staff are amazing and friendly and have a beautiful baby girl so many new plans for the hotel and with the enthusiastic attitude he has I believe he will achieve what he sets his mind to

So unfortunately the room was cold however they are going threw so renovations and work so I told the manager and he said he would make sure it was seen to asap couldn't of asked for a better response

The sea view from our room was amazing, was a lovely hotel with lovely staff. Thankyou for everything 😁 will definitely be returning xx

The gent at reception had everything in order. Rooms was what we expected for the money we paid. Room was nice and clean and fresh, fresh towels and bedding. Breakfasts were really good as well as good value for what we paid. we loved our stay nothing was too much hassle for the lad looking after us. So much so that our one night stay turned into three.

Lovely friendly hotel no hassle yr given yr own keys to come n go rooms are cosy n clean n sea views are just great ...tram to everywhere is outside hotel and staff r lovely and accomodating Just a really relaxing hotel seriously. Richard the owner is a lovely person.and was very kind to us in anything we needed . We are defo going bk there

Really great location, staff are so friendly and really welcoming and helpful. Will return next time I'm in Blackpool. Free wifi is a massive bonus with teenagers. Great stay and happy guests. Well done team xxx

Our double room was a bit small but we didn't spend a lot of time in there. It definitely hasn't put us off coming back

Staff where lovely and helpful, bar and pool table was open till 9pm, staff interacted with customers and made us feel very welcome, we will definitely be back.... thank you guys 🙂

I don't have a comment for this box, canasta Hotel has massively improved with the new takeover management.

We stayed for 3 nights after readings the reviews I was slightly dubious but I was extremely impressed hotel staff were absolutely brilliant so good with the kids and couldn't help us enough! Beds were so comfy in the room and had a beautiful sea view. We will definitely be returning !!
