Tropics Beach Hotel

For some unknown reason, we were unable to stay at this hotel in the room we booked. The hotel did ring myself and give me the option of staying in their sister hotel across the road which was fabulous. Also received complimentary drinks. Was no hassle and the women was lovely. I found the bed comfy and it was in a great location. Also liked having the extra security of the front door locks.

Walking into the hotel smelt like a toilets which wasn't nice at all. It was loud outside, but you have got to expect this as its on the main road. Not the fault of the hotel lol.

I really enjoyed my stay. The landlady was lovely and friendly. I originally booked a room with no ensuit but she put me in a room with ensuit facilities, same price. The room was very comfy and I had the best sleep ever. The location was perfect for trains, pubs, takeaways and funny girls and a short walk to beach. The North pier in my opinion is the best for entertainment. I'll be back to Tropics. Tom

The lady that runs it is extremely friendly and gave us a lovely warm welcome. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and it's a great location. Would highly recommend this and would definitely stay again

It's not really a case of not liking, just a few little pointers for future travellers Online it says check out is 1130, but it's actually 1030. Not the end of the world, as we walked along the prom with a coffee whilst waiting for train. Room was incredibly warm and radiator wouldn't turn down/off- but there was a window we could open. Shower worked but a slow trickle so didnt really feel clean. Just not what we're used to. Also said online toiletries provided, but this was just handsoap. I always carry my own anyway just in case so again no issue for me.

Our host was amazing! Very welcoming ad the location is great for funny girls and the strip with all the bars! For the amount we payed for two nights each as a group of 10 was amazing for what we needed the rooms for.

We came during farmers weekend which isn't advertised very well and they're all very rowdy and immature. Luckily the host to the tropics does not allow them to stay so we didn't have any staying withing our locations it was just when out during the evenings and in the day.

I loved everything about this property! we were welcomed by the lovely manager herself she was down to earth and funny and generally so kind to us couldn’t ask for a nicer hotel definitely recommend this hotel it was spotless and the bed was comfortable had tv and plenty of tea and coffee the shower was immaculate and the place even smelt lovely 😊

Amazing location, one of the cleaner hotels in Blackpool with a more modern but still cozy feel. Overall the room itself was comfortable and nice to stay at. I appreciated they helped with a personal request as well and placed me in a room with a larger mirror than normal for makeup.

The room was somewhat small with the door opening into a narrow hallway. This was difficult to navigate with multiple suitcases. Furthermore the shelf in the bathroom had not been cleaned properly and was coming loose but only two minor negatives!

The location was only about a 5-10 minute walk from the centre. The lady who had host us was absolutely amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Our toilet was slightly coming off the back wall and she upgraded our room for us with no extra fee! Knocked on our door on our leaving date to say we could stay in the room / leave our luggage in our room till we had to leave even though checkout is 10:30am I would 100% recommend this little hotel and would 100% stay again!

This hotel was the opposite end of Blackpool than I would usually stay but, I am converted and will stay here all the time now. Beautiful hotel and very clean - loved the decor ! Owner was a brilliant host and provided anything we requested very helpful, happy lady. Thank you so much we will be back again, Terri and Katie x

Fantastic location. Comfortable. Basic but clean. Fabulous host, really accommodating. Exactly what we needed for our night away.

We had a room on the top floor and it was a lot of flights of stairs! Minor issue with some smell from the drain in the bathroom but nothing too bad, certainly not worth complaining about. And to be fair, we noticed the same smell outside, a few roads away. Heavy rainfall the night before probably a factor.

- really lovely landlady - very cute and soft dog who was happy to meet guests - clean rooms - nice tropical theme - kettle and drink making facilities - good price for a night out in town to see the illuminations with my friend

- no where to wash hands after using shared loo so had to wash hands back in room a few sets of stairs up, but not a big deal really
