This is our first trip to Blackpool, primarily for the fireworks and secondarily a quick getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We hadn't taken a day off in quite some time, so we were really looking forward to it. We were warmly greeted by Conor, the host, even before we stepped through the door, with a cheering smile and a welcoming chat. We felt as though we were visiting a friend's place and immediately felt attached to both McGraths Blackpool and Blackpool itself. Conor was very helpful in providing information for our tours and food recommendations, not to mention his great advice on finding the best spot to avoid crowds during the fireworks. McGraths Blackpool is a cozy and charming place, offering all the warmth you need when you're on vacation, even for a short weekend getaway. The room is clean and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips, and at a very affordable price. I must say it again that the bed at McGraths Blackpool is firm enough to support my bad back, which sometimes makes me hesitant to travel because I often wake up sore in hotels. We wish we could have had more time to spend here, relaxing in the pleasant breakfast room, enjoying a drink at the bar, engaging in lengthier conversations with Conor, and getting some extra sleep on the incredibly comfortable bed. Oops, nearly miss it, the breakfast was great too! You shouldnt miss it! :) Conor is an amazing host, and now we totally get why the reviews are so positive. We even noticed some repeated customers during our stay. We'll definitely be back for our next trip, hoping to become regulars and make McGraths Blackpool our go-to spot whenever we're in town. :)

Modern decking, very clean and tidy staff and owner was very friendly room was reasonably sized room with a king-size bed and came with free breakfast in the morning which was a reasonable good price to not to mention that cocktails was great price as well and drinks cost at the bar was very reasonable as well considering how much more expensive there are in the centre of town

Very modern, looking good sofa area around the bar with flatscreen TV nice dining area in the morning for breakfast with our window. View of the street hotel room was quite spacious. Had a lovely up-to-date television and king-size bed along with own shower and toilet and sink. very clean and tidy. Even had an electrical fan on hand to keep you cool in warm summer days.

There was plenty of choice for breakfast including cereal, fruit, full English & omelettes. Staff were very accommodating & our order was taken quickly with information given to the wait time for the food (everything was made fresh, to order). Coffee, tea & fruit juice was provided & an invitation to help ourselves to cereal. The hotel was relatively close to the train station & beach but the nearby 24 hour car parks were completely full when we got there so it took us a while to get from the car to the hotel ... not a problem as we are fit & healthy. We were going to Winter Gardens for a show & this is a 8 - 10 minute walk away.

The location is great - handy for Blackpool North Station and North Shore. Rooms are comfy and clean, but it is all the host, Conor. Made us all feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. From booking taxis and restaurant reservations to putting up banners and buying a cake for my Dads birthday. Was a genuine pleasure. Made a great weekend even better. I have been going to Blackpool for 20+ years and never stayed in the same place twice, but I'll always check if McGraths has room first in the future.

Nothing not to like

I had a couple of text messages before setting off, thanks for booking, wishing me safe travel and another advising milk, tea, coffee and water would be in a fridge in the room. Also a list of drinks that could be pre-ordered and put in the fridge before arriving to pay when arriving (we travel alot and have never had that previously). Friendly, helpful staff, we could drop our bags a little early before check-in and there was a recommendation for somewhere to eat and drink. Breakfast has plenty of options and sizes. I didn't have a full English (normally would but I had scrambled egg on toast, with bacon and hash brown) from seeing other orders the full English would fill the largest of appetites, there's an option of fresh or tinned tomatoes another option not offered elsewhere. Also have their own bar with chalkboard menus.

It's quite a way out from the town if you have mobility issues and is tucked away a couple of streets back from the promenade but there's plenty of taxis and (trams though if you're there to party they don't run mega late at night). We couldn't get our shower to run hot in the morning, so it was the chilly challenge, they did apologise when we reported it and said they'd call a plumber.

the property is a 5 minute walk from Blackpool North train station. Charlie and Mark were very welcoming and the room was warm and cosy. they accommodated my request of a lower floor due to mobility. fresh milk was given on arrival to go with the complimentary tea tray. we ate both nights in the B &B, and the food was excellent, along with the breakfast. we will definitely book here again when we next visit. the property is a 5 minute walk to the tram and bus stops for easy access to Fleetwood or Pleasure beach .

The shower in our room was slow flowing, not quite strong enough for my liking .

I booked this hotel for my daughters hen night and there was a party of 8 ladies, from the moment we arrived we were very well looked after, we were greeted by Charlie one of the owners and one of the loveliest hoteliers I have met, his partner Mark was a real character, exceptional at the way he treats his guests, we could not fault anything at the hotel, the breakfast was hot, fresh and very well made, the rooms are beautiful and clean, nothing was too much for either Charlie or Mark and the whole party enjoyed their stay and we will be back next year.

Extremely welcoming guesthouse. Connor went out of his way to ensure we had an amazing stay, including extra little special touches as it was my partners birthday. The room was lovely, there was a great selection of food at breakfast, a really nice bar area and the location of the guesthouse was perfect for us. It was definitely a weekend to be remembered...thank you Mcgraths, we'll see you again in April

Really welcoming staff, accommodated my mate with a vegan breakfast, lovely room with mini bar and comfy beds, in an ideal location for the train station and the LGBT scene (we went for Pride).

Only complaint is that the shower was ice cold, no heat whatsoever, so despite standing under it for a solid ten minutes with a hangover, hoping for the best, it never warmed up. I didn’t have the energy to question it either though, to be fair to the staff.

We liked the warm welcome and farewell from the host who carried our bag up and helpfully changed our room to a more accessable one. In the room there was a fan and ample cushions pillows on a comfy bed and a nice chair , also well decorated with chandelier and furnishings. There are lots of bars and the north pier within easy reach and the street is so quiet and pleasant in most parts . Breakfast was fabulous too , all in all it was perfect and a pleasure to stay here well worth the money.
