Village Hotel Bracknell

Even though it was a busy hotel as is a gym with swimming pool facilities, the staff were helpful and lovely. The whole place had various 'kids' sections with toys about to keep them entertained! Plus I loved the addition of a free gift bag on arrival for the children. Including drink, snack and colouring. Excellent touch.

Our room was clean, with a great shower and was nice and bright. Beds super comfy and large room. However it seems they may have forgotten to leave a hair dryer and to get a bit of rubbish from previous visitors from a drawer. However that didn't bother us too much and the cleaning staff were more than accommodating to give us a hairdryer when we requested.

Great location, really good check in system and options to upgrade to gym, food token etc. Lovely room with really good air conditioning, nice gym

The food on the first night wasn't great, I sent it back and ordered a steak and salad instead. It took 20 mins to come, was over done and I got a bowl of iceberg lettuce as a salad. I was too hungry to wait again. They were good and offered me a refund although while all this had been going on, I had been sent a survey which I completed asking how my stay was. I was supposed to be contacted, but no one ever did. Great staff, can't fault them, they may have just been super busy with Ascot on and at least they resolved it for me

The overall feel of the hotel was modern and fresh. It had a great feel about it and all the staff were super friendly. The rooms were really big, very clean and again modern. The beds were extremely comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Only woken once by a screaming kid but that was to be expected for the amount of young families around. Loved having a Starbucks on site, extra bonus. My daughter said it was her favourite part her weekend and this was after a day at legoland. She has also requested to go back for her birthday, haha.

So it's not like I didn't like it because I was there with my own children but it is clearly used as a hub for legoland therefore alot of children. I could see how hard they had tried to cater for this but I imagine those without children thought it was abit wild at times. Breakfast was chaos... not enough staff on to clear tables fast enough and the queues for the food gor long and they were all stood aside people eating so got abit awkward. None of this would put me off visiting again though.

We loved the hotel, the location was great and the kids buffets was amazing. Staff were fab.

We booked a family room and although on first arrival we were very happy we soon saw that the room was actually very dirty, there was a thick layer of dust on most of the surfaces. On arrival under the beds were a dirty sock, an empty packet of haribo and a bottle. They are probably still there as we didn’t move them! I normally would have mentioned something straight away however after a long journey with 3 kids we had already unpacked and we didn’t want the bother of a change of room or having to wait for someone to come in etc…. But it was far from ideal and general laziness on the cleaners part.

The hotel was excellent value and clean, ideal for a family stay before Legoland. Staff were very helpful, despite such a scare number of staff, but this is to be expected at the cost.

Unfortunately, a couple on our floor were having a very loud argument which scared our children. It went on for ages and unsettled us all, the poor hotel deputy manager had to deal with it. Also the morning exercise class at 6.30am was a rude awakening, could hear it very loud whilst we were alsleep. The hotel guests is beyond anyone else's control, just a shame our children had to lay awake listening to such awful shouting and slamming doors. We did call the hotel as we were worried about the individuals. Very disrespectful to all the other guests.

I asked for some birthday acknowledgment in one of the rooms as we stayed to take my son to legoland for his birthday. I only asked for maybe a banner or balloon. They went above and beyond and made it an extra special surprise for my boy! He had balloons, a picture to colour in, some smarties, a gold chocolate coin from Starbucks and we had 5 free Starbucks drinks for the family!! I was so impressed and grateful. My son was over the moon. Check in was an absolute doddle. All completed yourself with lovely staff to assist if needed. All 4 kids were greeted with a lovely goodie bag with cookies, chocolate milk and games and activities and colouring in. Even my way too cool for it 14 year old daughter loved this! The rooms were immaculate. Really lovely modern decor, everywhere was clean. Beds lovely size and comfortable. The carpets were one thing that particularly impressed me! They were so soft, deep and felt luxurious! Most chain hotels have crappy, cheap carpets but these were also spotlessly clean and so nice to walk on! (Seems a bizarre thing to comment on but that’s how nice it was and such a change to standard hard, cheap, crappy carpets used in the likes of holiday inn or premier inn!) The room also had a PROPER SIZED TV!!! No postage stamp in the corner that you need a microscope to watch, a decent sized screen!! The facilities were also fabulous. Restaurant on site with a nice bar. Starbucks next door to this by the entrance. The pool was lovely. Nice and big and I noticed a sign in reception explaining that it was colder than usual and offering apologies as it was being worked on, but I enjoyed the cooler than average temperature as I am always too hot when I swim! There were 2 good sized hot tubs, a sauna and steam room too. It was just a shame that kids had to be out of the pool by 7pm as we had travelled after school so didn’t get a long swim as we’d have liked but that’s a small moan in comparison to the rest of the review!

Bedroom window didn’t open at all. (Room 153) I’m the sort who sleeps with the window open all year round so this was a struggle for me but definitely not a deal breaker! Kids had to leave pool at 7pm. Thermostat in room hard to work out so couldn’t chill the room to a comfortable temperature to sleep.

Swimming Pool Staff very friendly, helpful and polite. Like the card and tube of smarties, our little one loved it and we thought it was a nice touch.

Room could have been a little cleaner. Carpet looked like it needed a good hoover or even due a going over with a carpet cleaner, there was a sock under bed that didn't belong to us. When we arrived there were dirty plates, glasses etc outside neighbours doors, which looked like they had been there for a while. The night before I would think as there were beer & wine glasses as well as food dishes and we arrived at 5pm.

Lovely modern hotel, great facilities and really good value for money. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and the location was great. Will definitely return

Would have liked a fridge in the room and also some more storage as there wasn’t enough for a family of 4 so we lived out of a suitcase. Maybe some hooks in the bathroom to hang wet swimsuits as there were no radiators. The people above us were really noisy and could hear children running around which kept us awake or woke us early but I suppose not much could be done about that.

Upon my arrival (08:00am'ish) i was greeted by Sydney, she was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. She assisted me with arranging Facilities access and explained how payment would be taken and then later on that same day assisted me with checking in process as i had not undertaken the process before. Gym and shower facilities were great and very clean!

It was a bit noisy in my room 114 whilst attending remote meetings, i could hear music, I must have been near the sports bar. wasn't too bad and didn't interrupt my sleep.

it was amazing from start to finish. Staff went above & beyond to accommodate us and to make it a memorable experience. I informed them that it was our anniversary to which they upgraded us to a family room and decorated it with rose petals with balloons and a lovely card with a fantastic bottle of Prosecco. we were then greeted for dinner and was looked after the entire stay. The leisure centre was amazing bedroom was amazing and food was delicious I would definitely recommend to everyone 😍 thanks again xxxx
