Lovely clean room and shower room. Comfortable bed and pillows, tea, coffee, biscuits and water in room. Safe, hairdryer, iron and board. In fact they have thought of everything. Rooms are in a courtyard behind the pub garden so despite it being on a busy road there is little traffic noise. We stayed two nights and there was a great choice of breakfast items, all delicious. Our two dinners were equally delicious. Staff were without exception friendly and super efficient, and nothing was too much trouble. There was nothing negative at all. We will stay again without a doubt.

Nothing at all, it was perfect.

I was born and bought up in Lightwater. I was part of one of the biggest families in the 1950s through to 1990s. I remember the Weatsheaf. I stayed this week in West End to attend a funeral. The Inn was an obvious choice. Everything right from the warm welcome at reception right through to the rooms at the rear of the Inn was excelent. No fault at all. However, on the first of two nights I was ready to complain about excesive high volume voices outside our window , generated by a couple of young drinkers and a staff member who has a loud deep London accent, at one of the outside smoking huts. At 11 Pm id had enough and was at the point of interveining, but suddenly all went silent and they left. So im glad i said nothing. The second and final night was very quiet. All in all, The Inn @ West End is absolutly smashing. The staff, the decor, The food and the surrounding grounds are all excellent. ......Would I return ? Would I recomend The Inn @ West End to guests who want to be treated with respect and courtecy, ? Would I recomend The food to people who demand choice and perfection. ? ...................YES.

Zilch.....Nothing

Staff are always happy and helpful. The bedrooms are beautiful and always clean. Generous in-room tea, coffee and bottled water. Restaurant food is very good, especially breakfast.

I use the enhanced room (wheelchair accessible) and there are some big areas in which this could improve. The worst part is that the room's front door is extremely heavy for anyone to open, let alone a wheelchair user. It's also on a slope, which makes getting in pretty difficult. The staff are happy to help but it's always easier to be totally independent. It's just bad access design - if the sloped access started further from the door to allow for a flat level access at the door threshold, it would make life MUCH easier for wheelchair users (and, because of the layout of rooms, might make two rooms wheelchair accessible rather than just one).

very stylish , every room had different names and decor. The restaurant in the main pub was superb. The food was excellent and the staff were absolutely outstanding. A young team of staff, each and every one went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough, they went above and beyond .

The room became rather hot as there was very limited ventilation, however a few minutes with the door ajar to get the air circulating solved the issue.

Extremely friendly staff in the bar and restaurant. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant. Clean and spacious room. Good Wi-Fi - better on windows that on iPhone. Car parking available. Good choice of food at breakfast and quick service. Lively bar and restaurant. Exceptional beer garden.

The only issue that we had was with the Wi-Fi on our iPhones which did not work very well in the room, but was better in the pub/restaurant. Guests should note that the rooms are adjacent to the beer garden and, therefore, lots of noise in the evening until the pub closes. This would put us off staying again in the Summer months, but the other months would be fine.

All of the staff went above and beyond on every level, especially young Jacob in the bar and restaurant he was polite and friendly without being false, a credit to the company, although all staff were cheerful and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable, well decorated and quality linen and decor. The restaurant was excellent with a reasonable amount of choice, wine a bit pricey but overall very good.

Waited quite a while for breakfast and it wasn't that busy, I was on a tight timetable and it probably wouldn't normally have bothered me. My main course the evening before wasn't great I pointed this out to Jacob he dealt with it well spoke to the manager and they removed it from the bill, and gave me a dessert on the house

The room was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. the staff were all very friendly and breakfast was delicious. There were a couple of nice dog walks near by that our very friendly waitress at breakfast told us about (they are not immediately obvious). They were properly dog-friendly. Good gluten-free menu.

We were expecting more of a country pub. It was nonetheless very nice but not quite what we thought we had booked. The bar was a real mess at dinner with glasses everywhere which didn’t feel very relaxing as we had to sit nearby as we had dogs. The very nice rooms face directly onto the garden of the pub so this is not the place for you if you want to get an early night.

The two rooms we had were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms were well designed, clean and had lots of lovely toiletries. The rooms were stocked with tea and coffee making facilities which was nice. We are in the Inn for dinner and breakfast. The meals were lovely, all of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Would highly recommend staying here.

There was nothing we didn't like! It was perfect for our needs.

Loved the Bordeaux room that I got for mum and the twelve Oaks bedroom was good. Breakfast tasted great and good coffee too. Staff always smiling.

Bathroom in 12 Oaks… didn’t feel luxurious like the bedroom … appreciate it was designed for those with mobility issues but it needed a shelf to put your wash things not above the toilet and a nicer chair in there and the shower was great. The overall bathroom needed slightly more attention. Also the room overlooked the pub garden which was very nice but hard to grab 40 winks in the afternoon as had a long night ahead of us as people right outside the room enjoying drinks and late lunch.
