What an amazing place to stay! Antony is the perfect host, so friendly and helpful, he gave me lots of recommendations for places to eat, drink and visit, which proved invaluable. The guesthouse is beautiful and very well situated for everything... an abundance of eateries and cafes just a stroll away. I stayed in the single room which was absolutely gorgeous. The bed was amazing..SO comfy with top quality linen. I did a lot of research before choosing to say here, and I couldn't have picked anywhere better...I can't wait to return!

Nothing whatsoever!

Exquisite guest house just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Antony was a very welcoming and friendly host and made sure our needs were met throughout our stay, we appreciated particularly the care and attention and time he invested not only with us but other guests too. Coco the dog was also a delightful addition to the staff :) The house is outstanding throughout, it's clear immediately upon arrival there's been a tremendous amount time, energy and effort spent on attention to detail, quality and craftsmanship in every room. The smell of fresh baking when we arrived created a homely welcoming atmosphere and even small touches like the quality of the silverware gave it a regal feel that complemented superbly to the local Victorian architecture of the area. Our room had everything we needed and we were greeted by a toy giraffe (!) again another respectful nod to the local history. Food was excellent, well cooked and Antony's delicious home made croissants were worth the fee alone!

Room was a little on the small size although the space was very well utilised. The bathroom was more of a wet room, very little space available when using the loo. We felt this was a compromise (partly down to the general size of the house of course) and is the only thing that stopped us short of giving this a 10.

The room was really well decorated and comfortable. Nice and bright too. It had everything you needed for a weekend away. The room also had a Nespresso machine which was a really nice touch, and fresh milk in the mini fridge which was a lovely too. Small touches like that really make a difference! The location was perfect for us, within walking distance to both the beach and the lanes, with lots of options for food nearby! It is also easily accessible from the Coach stop and train station. Anthony was very friendly and welcoming. And quickly got in touch when i had forgotten my phone charger upon leaving, which was much appreciated!

Can't think of anything

This was a really lovely place to stay. The location is good - near the sea front and busy shops and restaurants. Everything about it was excellent, including the furnishing and decoration of the room, very high quality and super comfortable bed and bedding, coffee maker and kettle and even a fridge with fresh milk and water. Great attention to detail. Really good breakfast with home made granola and yoghurt, fruit, plus cooked options. The host, Anthony, was absolutely lovely and really helpful with directions, booking taxis etc. One of the best small places that I have ever stayed in and if we go back to Brighton will certainly return there!

We had a wonderful stay in Anthony's guesthouse. The room was cosy, really well decorated and had a soul :). The bed was really confortable and we had everything we needed. Anthony's was a really nice host, always kind and available. We chose not to have breakfast so I can't judge it, but it was always smelling good when he cooked for other guests ;). The geographic situation was good, a bit off-center, but which wasn't bad so you don't have the noise of the city center, the buses, cars and so on. As it was wood floor under the carpeting, you can hear the other guests but I think it's the charm of the house :). It was not too bothering as we had nice neighbours not too noisy. We totally recommend Anthony's guesthouse for a stay in Brighton and would come back without hesitating !

We stayed in a small double room and it had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Conveniently located, cosy, clean, comfortable, and quiet with loads of personality. The room had a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities (including fresh milk) and snacks. The guesthouse is located on a quiet street but less than a 5 minute walk from the waterfront and about 10 minutes from the Brighton Pier and Royal Pavillion. Within a 10 minute walk there is a great range of local and international food options and shops. Antony was a lovely host who prepared a delicious breakfast every morning. We enjoyed the tea/coffee/orange juice, fresh fruits and muesli with yoghurt, cheeses and spreads, and freshly made-to-order scrambled eggs/omelette with croissants. We would definitely stay again!

It was not an issue for us, but be aware that if you have reduced mobility or heavy luggage there is no lift. The room and ensuite bathroom with shower were quite small but it was just the right size to stay for several nights

The owner was really nice. He greeted us and showed us the room, gave us great recommendations on what to visit and where to eat. The breakfast was delicious! There is both continental breakfast where you can get muesli, yogurt, fruits, croissants or pancakes and after that you can also get eggs and bacon with toast. The owners have a really cute cat and dog that you will probably see occasionally and the plush giraffe on the bed is super cute. We were leaving Brighton a bit later in the day so we were allowed to leave our suitcases inside and to keep the card that opens the entrance until we come back for luggage later in the day.

Room was a bit small but well organized

The host and lovely pup that greeted me. Very warm and welcoming and accommodating. Temporarily held luggage securely after check out, big bonus.

Bathroom/bedroom layout of room Inwas in, but was very minor and was fully furnished. And despite the offer to store luggage (50lbs) outside of room and tbh their offer to carry, I'd just suggest that travelers should be notified that reaching a room is only via stairs. But this is a extremely minor note. Contactless check in would be a plus for bith ends I think, for those with a dynamic itinerary.

The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and simply makes you feel good right as you walk in. Antony takes care of all the details to make you feel at home. We were served a nice and tasty breakfast every day that includes a fresh bowl of fruits and a delicious homemade granola, which for me was a blessing. The bed is very comfortable and the room has all the nice amenities. Antony was very helpful with helping us find a location to park the car, getting our parking tickets and suggesting places to go in the city. Overall we just loved our stay and highly recommend.

Antony added the little extras letting you know that he was interested and looking after you. From a bottle of prosecco in the mini-fridge along with water and milk you were able to relax and settle in; extra bonus was home made pastry//Shower with toiletries superb along with the robes and large towels

facilities were excellent and the room that I chose was listed as small and it was what was said on the box--compact ---& still a touch of elegance//if you had mobility problems there was a walk down the hills to the bottom of St. James St.(however there was also a bus service minimising any walking
