Super trip to The Crown. For price I paid I was very pleasantly surprised at the size and comfort of the room. Perfect for one person may be a bit tight for two. The room was clean and well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities, a small but functional ensuite bathroom and room to hang clothes. The pub itself was lovely, nice beers and good food at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful and all in all I had a great time in a lovely little town in a superb area of mid-Wales.

The room was clean and tidy but the en-suite was a little worn around the edges. It was clean and the towels etc were all lovely but a refresh at some point would be good.

Staff very welcoming. The room was a family room which was very comfortable and clean. The food was terrific, but make sure you book a table in advance we saw many people being turned away.

Whilst the bar wasn't noisy and closed early, the bar opposite was not so. But it was a Friday night and everyone was having fun. The rooms could have benefitted from a chair or 2. My travelling companions were elderly and could have done with something other than the bed to sit on. We parked up by the leisure centre which said no overnight parking. But we made sure we left by 8am so didn't get a ticket.

A gorgeous, cosy pub with fairy lights, wood beams, and open fire. So pretty. Was greeted on arrival by very warm and friendly staff. Had a meal, which was delicious. The room we stayed in was cosy, clean, and extremely comfortable beds. Shower was hot, no complaints.

Nothing I didn't like. If you like modern 'fancy' hotel bedrooms, this is not that. But that's not a complaint in any way. It was small, but had everything needed, and was clean and comfortable. If you appreciate country/cosy/cottagey vibes, this place is just gorgeous.

I travelled for some football coaching with a fellow coach and the room was much better than we were expecting with two single beds and a further double bed and it is across two different rooms so we had our own areas. The pub downstairs is lively which is great for the evening but does make it loud in the room - it does all close around 11pm (Saturday night) so it was a great time for us but if you're looking for sleeping early then it may be an small issue.

The staff were very helpful, we cycled the Trans Cambrian Way and they dealt with our luggage transfers perfectly. The bikes were stored safely overnight and we received good service with this. The rooms were clean, the showers were hot and what we would expect for the price. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great. Overall very good and would definitely stay again. Recommend to all adventurers.

very friendly staff and extremely accommodating. The location is superb and the atmosphere and pub food was fantastic. Rooms are clean and comfortable. this was my second stay at the the Crown and I look forward to staying there in the future

it's a pub so expect some atmosphere into the night, TV reception isn't the best and I couldn't get the wifi to work but I had a sufficient mobile signal so didn't enquire as to why but for the price, convenience, staff friendliness and pub atmosphere it's hard to beat!

Cosy, quaint, cute room. Comfortable bed, good shower.Food provided by the Crown and Ty Morgans was well priced and tasty. A well run pub in a fantastic area, enjoyed exploring Elan valley dams and the unique history of this area. Red kite feeding was also a plus. One of our most memorable stays

Nothing not to like. Wish we could have stayed longer

Great place to use for visiting Elan Valley. Friendly staff and clean room. I had a room over the bar and you could hear the conversations but this didn't bother me as I was out during the day and evening and as it was a bank holiday was quiet by 2230hrs.

The floors were uneven and the bathroom slopes a bit. Not a major issue but as I had some mobility issues I had to take extra care. I would still stay again.

Loved staying here, friendly, clean, and staff are so nice. Will visit again due to how nice the staff are and the comfort of my cute little room.

Parking, there is no b n b parking. Car parks a bit up the road but only free until 7am. That's the only criticism i have. It's not really the b n bs fault, but it is a pain.

Usually book a chain hotel but I decided to try something different, glad I did, it was a nice change of scenery and I enjoyed the character of the room and the pub. Stopped here as a base for filming out during the day. Liked the private entrance so I could come and go and when I wanted. Its a really nice friendly town and I would 100% come again and book here again. Its encouraged me to start using little independent accommodation now.

It did get a little cold and I struggled to dry my gear off
