Bath House Hotel

The breakfast choice was very varied and cooked fresh when you sat down at your table. The service received was very good as well. Staff were friendly and attentive without being in the way. My wife and I were visiting family and spent a lot of time at the hotel but there were no rules about staying out between certain hours and we were able to come and go as we pleased.

to be totally honest there was nothing to complain about except perhaps the car park. It was not easy to find and very limited.

Everything! Lovely little hotel in the centre of Chard. Ensuite king-size double bedroom which was immaculate. Excellent breakfast. Small family run business. The owners are very welcoming and it was a joy to chat with them. They provided us with a lovely relaxed stay. As a small hotel (6 rooms), it provides a personal touch that you wouldn't get from a larger commercial hotel.

The dining room/restaurant is small as you might expect but the food and service were excellent

1) The food for breakfast and dinner was very high quality and very tasty. The fruit platter at breakfast was a delight and i had it every day! 2) Air conditioning was divine during one of the hottest weekends of the year 3) The shower had good water pressure and was easily controlled & lovely after a long hot day 4) Chard is near a lot of good places to visit 5) Generous amounts of good quality bottled water, coffee and biscuits in room. 6) The owners were really helpful and friendly

1) The pillows were a bit hard 2) Not much to do in Chard itself - although it was helpful to have Sainsbury's next door for things I'd forgotten and left at home 3) The parking was a bit hard to find on the first night

Staff were so very kind and helpful when we arrived late and tired after a long journey and car incident. Came out to advise on parking, carried bags to room, friendly and smiley. Room was clean and bed was comfy, everything we needed was supplied. Breakfast was really good, tasty and freshly cooked, and was served early so that we could dash off to get the car repaired. Such kindness in our time of need!

Lovely staff, room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts were delicious and the food in the restaurant in the evening is highly recommended. We hope to return soon.

My room was very comfortable and extremely clean. The bed, furniture and soft furnishings were of excellent quality and I liked the calming colour scheme of the room (Sakura). The shower was very large and effective - I enjoyed my daily shower. The bed was two singles joined together so I had a massive bed all to myself. I enjoyed the air conditioning each night as I am of a certain age(!) where I get very hot in the night. I would definitely recommend to stay here and hope to return again in the near future.

The stairs as I am waiting for a knee replacement. However I managed as the hotel has good solid stair rails.

Excellent customer service, and because of my earlier starts I had a take out breakfast made for me everyday which included the best fresh fruit salad. Delicious- Thank you.

Front access to accommodation easy to find but the allocated parking around the back was a little more challenging, but once located excellent facility and lots of cameras for security. Ideal .

A brilliant little hotel. Super clean...lovely bedrooms with good standard of fixtures and fittings. Situated in the centre of Chard but barely fifteen miles from Devon`s south coast. And the food!!! It was absolutely delicious! We ate there every night and no matter what dish we ordered, it was beautifully cooked to the highest standards. But also the staff....what truly lovely people they were: Ron, the chef...what a great chef you are; Karine….a lovely lady, so helpful and interesting; Jacquerene….a exceptional girl who was a great barmaid and a lovely conversationalist and finally, Shin, maître D....maître D par excellence. She made us feel at home straight away, had a lovely sense of humour and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our fellow guests were also great fun especially Alison and Heidi!!! We will return.

We had the 2 room deluxe room which was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, good choices. The egg on smoked salmon on a toasted slice with asparagus was divine. Chard was central for what we wanted to to do and places we wanted to go to, but doesn't have an awful lot to offer, Forde Abbey is wonderful. A couple of nice restaurants in the High Street, and a Wetherspoons. The food in the hotel is fab though and reasonably priced as well. Excellent service too. We took a taxi one evening to the Cotley Inn at Wambrook, a wonderful place to eat and drink with a great menu and service.

No windows looking outwards in our rooms, just Velux sky lights that opened ok, and a good air conditioner. Parking at the rear and side is a little tight for manoeuvring but the hotel only has 4 rooms so there is adequate space.

The hotel was located right in the middle of Chard. Easy access to amenities. Really well presented.The room was lovely and spacious and very comfortable with thoughtful little additional touches. Karine was really friendly and helpful. For what we wanted we couldn't fault it.

There was nothing we didn't like. We had a perfect overnight stay.
