Donna and Steve were very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully clean with tea and coffee making facilities provided. Breakfast was lovely. We had the option of using the guest lounge whenever we wanted and to sit in the beautiful garden. I requested some wine for my partner's birthday which was ready for us on our return from dinner.Donna and Steve were always ready for a chat if we saw them. We cannot recommend this beautiful property more highly. We plan to return as soon as we can. An added bonus was a delightful pub less than 5 minute walk from The White Cottage that served great food and friendly staff.

How can you improve on perfection. There is nothing to dislike.

Donna and Steve are extremely good hosts. From the friendly welcome to the tasty breakfasts and the chats about our day. The fresh milk and water supplied each day. The spotlessly clean room which is freshened every day. You couldn't ask for more. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The White Cottage is very central to a lot of the attractions in East Devon and only 13 miles from Lyme Regis in Dorset. It's a short walk to the Seaton Tramway, which is a lovely way to get Seaton. There is a very pretty garden with furniture for guests use. Also private off road parking. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The White House.

Slightly noisy shower but only a slight niggle .

This property looked good on the website but was even better in reality. I couldn't fault it - a beautiful old building, in pristine condition, with all mod cons - and to top it off, a lush and spacious garden out the back. Hosts were so helpful and quick to deal with any queries. Room was clean and well equipped, with a lovely garden view, breakfast was fresh, plentiful and well presented. Location was excellent, within a lovely old town and close to so many local attractions on the south Devon coast: Seaton, Beer, Abbotsbury, Corfe Castle, Lyme Regis. I'd return any time.

Nothing - all was first class.

Breakfast great, location really good, hosts friendly and helpful. Very quaint old cottage but very well equipped and of a high standard of decor with modern features.

Shower has very limited space. To be fair, the Vendors informed us about this issue before arrival but perhaps an option for a different room (for bigger people) should have been offered before arrival at the B&B. It would be ok for Micheal J Fox but not for John Candy if you get my drift. I appreciate it is a hard question to ask.

An amazing find. Looks just like the pictures. Very chocolate box. Parking which is great. Gardens look very well maintained, looking forward to returning, Met by Steve and Donna who made us very welcome and showed us to our room. Room 6. Very characterful. Comfy bed. TV. Excellent tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom/Shower good size. A delightful bar and lounge area. After a good nights sleep breakfast was delicious. Everything you could want, cooked to order. Plus selection of cereals, yogurts and fruit. Lovely again to chat with Steve and Donna. Definitely will stay again.

There was nothing to dislike.

Every thing was fantastic, Donna & Steve made you feel at home as soon as you arrived, they were friendly and helpful from the get go. The white cottage is a lovely well looked after building with a lot of character. The breakfast was great and plenty to choose from, from a full English, to just cereal and every thing in between, and Steve checked if you had any dietary needs or allergies. Down stairs there was a large dinning room a very comfortable residents lounge and a well stocked licenced bar for guest's only. The bedroom was spacious and spotlessly clean, and even though it was at the front of the building there was no road noise. Fresh water and milk coffee, tea ETC was provided every day, and if you needed more you only had to ask. The bed was lovely and comfortable with nice clean bedding. We really didn't want to leave, I even said I would just stay there and pay rent.

If I had to say there was any thing I would change? Maybe the fan in the bathroom was a little noisy but that would be nit picking, we wouldn't change a thing .

Before we arrived the host had messaged with taxi phone numbers and several options of where to eat. Nice welcome, lovely garden and house. Room was a good size, bed extremely comfortable. Plenty of towels and supplies of fresh milk etc. There was a guest lounge which was very comfortable, and a good library, also somewhere to leave our wet walking things. A great breakfast too.

Lovely old, characterful house with safe, off-street parking and a beautiful garden to enjoy with ample outdoor seating. Excellent breakfast, cooked by the delightful Donna.

Our room and en-suite were a little smaller than we hoped and the shower, with the restricted head height (which host Steve did warn us about), was a little underpowered! My wife found the pillows a little too firm but, otherwise, everything was fine.

Immaculately clean. Delicious breakfast, lots of choice. Stunning garden with shady spots for reading in hot sunny days. Steve and Donna were excellent hosts. Perfectly located for lots of areas to walk or shop or just enjoy the beach. Lovely thick walls so nice and cool even on really hot nights. Colyton is a very pretty village with lovely friendly, local people.

Nothing.

The White Cottage is very well located to explore all the surrounds and being autumn, the trees in their varying colours were breathtaking. The single room overlooks the beautifully kept garden and the 160-year old tree. Everything in the room was very well thought out with ample drawers and cupboard space for the stay. Tea, coffee and biscuits and daily fresh milk was appreciated. Towels and linen were spotless as was the room. Breakfast was made exactly to my taste and the daily fresh mixed fruit bowl was delicious. The village pub, the Kingfisher, served excellent meals as did the Wheelwright Arms, a short drive away. Steve and Donna were thoughtful, kind and friendly hosts well informed to answer any questions about the area. A really worthwhile visit. Probably the best solo trip I've had in the UK.

Absolutely no quibbles about the White Cottage at all.
