We stayed here as our large Afghan Hound was in a dog show close by. The male host was an absolute gentleman who could not have been more considerate in every way. We and our dog were given a heartfelt welcome. The breakfast was outstanding and catered to every taste. the dining room was really lovely and the Full English breakfast was wonderful, as was the array of yogurt, fruit juices, fruit, breakfast cereal etc The garden/land was much, much larger than anticipated, which was a wonderful place to walk our dog. There were also garden games / equipment for children and adults to play with and the beautiful horses in the adjacent fields added to the beauty of the countryside, giving a really peaceful view and feeling. The room with TV & tea making facilities was ultra clean and welcoming and gave us enough room to set up our dog's bed. We were given a key to come and go as we pleased, which was useful for late evening dog walks and there was parking a plenty. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a lovely stay and a very warm welcome.

We liked everything.

I had the excellent full English plus there seem to be as many other choices as anyone could wish for. No restrictions on coming and going with easy parking on the property. The host is very welcoming and a cheerful conversationalist. Lovely surroundings, with easy access to the M4 and nearby Chipping Sodbury. Digital TV if you like that sort of thing and free WiFi. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room, whch I like. Ensuite toilet and shower. And very importantly, the temperature of the room is entirely controllable, so I could sleep well.

Some people may want a gym and a swimming pool and a masseuse, and perhaps a bar. I don't, and I don't wish to pay for facilities I do not use. So Windylands is entirely appropriate for my needs, and I would not change anything.

Richard, Jennifer and their daughter Imogen were marvellous hosts. This a proper, old fashioned (in the best possible way) bed and breakfast home. Richard's breakfasts were fabulous. We had such a personal experience and Richard was an absolute mine of information and a natural raconteur! The family and their home are delightful.

Initially we had a room with a separate bathroom situated downstairs. When the ensuite become available Richard happily let us swap which was very much appreciated

Probably the friendliest and warmest welcome I've ever had in any places I've been staying at. It's a proper family house and not an impersonal hotel. Had quite a long chat with the lovely lady when I've arrived and she immediately provided to me all the useful infos I needed for my stay around the BnB. She had the extreme kindness to propose to me to postpone the breakfast time on the next day as I was planning to come back very late the night before and probably not be able to get up on time for breakfast. And she even insisted to make me a breakfast to take away as I was aiming to leave very early, before breakfast time ! So kind ! Mrs Jennifer, I've never met anyone more attentive than you to make every little detail perfect for their guests ! The room was very quiet, clean and comfy. The bathroom is very small but that was enough and I've able to have a proper warm and nice shower. I was a bit concerned because of the road facing my room but I've been pleasantly surprised by the calm at night.... the traffic is almost nonexistent at that time. The car park is very roomy and secured with a gate and a code. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. It was a bit unusual to chat with the other guests as everyone gets to eat at the same big table but that's always nice to socialise (even if I wasn't fully awake yet and had no voice left due to having a fabulously good time at the gig of my favourite band the evening before !). Great stay ! :-)

Nothing really. The only little thing is that I've been surprised not to find a key on the door of my room (there's a system to lock from inside, but not outside of the room on the hall). That would be nice to be able to lock the door with a key.... but it's just a small detail.

The host was very welcoming and the place was for the most part according to expectations. The breakfast was varied and delicious, they even catered to our dietary restrictions. The decoration of the dining room was of impeccable British style. The room was comfortable and clean.

When they say "Room with a private bathroom" they do not mean en suite bedroom. It was not properly specified that the bathroom was outside the bedroom, on a different floor which was disappointing. It should be made clearer on the booking website. The bedroom and bathroom doors are difficult to open/close without proper handles and should include an updated locking mechanism.

I absolutely loved the house and location. The hosts were extremely caring and respectful of me as a guest. They took very good care of me and made me a lovely full english breakfast. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. I spent several hours just looking out the window at the farmland and open spaces. There was plenty of free parking on their property, secured by a gate. It is a family home in a quiet and calm rural area. I would definitely stay there again.

Location was excellent for quick access to other places. Plenty of parking space. We had a huge choice of things for breakfast including a full English. Nothing was too much trouble for Richard our host. The setting of Windylands couldn't have been better with lovely views over the local farmland and quick access to the M4 and other places without going through towns and villages. There is so much to see in the area close to Windylands.

Our room was perfectly suitable but the ensuite bathroom hand basin was a challenge. A basin that you can actually have a wash in is a must. Something longer and deeper would do the job without impinging on the room space. A mirror on the wall would also help and hooks on the wall where you could reach towels before getting out of the shower. These little changes would make a huge difference.

Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Room and ensuite were clean and comfortable. Vegan breakfast was provided as requested, and very nicely cooked and served in a pretty dining room with bone china crockery. We were going to a music event at Worcester Lodge, Didmarton, which was approximately 5 miles away.

Can't think of anything

Cobwebs. It is an easy house to miss but apparently Google maps should take you right there, our satnav didn't unfortunately.

A nice B&B. We had a lovely room overlooking the open farmland opposite. The breakfast was huge with a great choice. We had the full English both days and it did not disappoint. There's a choice of cereals, yogurts and fruit as well. Plus we had toast and orange juice. There was a small En-suite bathroom in the room with shower, sink and toilet and was perfectly adequate. We had a TV in the room and tea and coffee making facilities. Unusually, there was a small fridge in the room as well. There was plenty of parking on site too. If you're looking for piece and quiet I can thoroughly recommend this place.
