We stayed in one of the cottages on the first floor, the room was very well equipped, the bed was particularly comfortable with very good quality sheets and duvet and the housekeeping team kept the room and bathroom spotless. The room was very cosy and in keeping with the style of the Manor House. It was literally a 5 minute walk from Castle Combe itself and a nice little stroll back after breakfast, lunch or dinner which was served in the main house (if needed, room service was available). We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant which was totally in keeping with the Michelin rating.

There was nothing we didn't like, probably the stay was too short.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic: great quality food and cooked breakfast was perfection. The place is wonderful and fantastically kept: All the staff of the hotel is professional, very polite, friendly and helpful. We felt our dogs were welcomed and liked: we will come back for sure!

The first evening we had dinner at the Castle Inn pub: it was quite average and the man waiting on us must have been a bit stressed ( no excuse anyway ) and consequently at one point, his kindness disappeared. We were quite taken aback: we cancelled the booking for the second evening and we had dinner at the hotel instead: great staff, great service, great food!

beautiful hotel in pretty village. friendly staff

There is no vegetarian or vegan menu. we choice casual dining and there was one vegetarian main option (cauliflower). Neither of us like cauliflower so we were a bit stuck. We were charged 25 pounds per person for breakfast but only one of us had a cooked breakfast. It’s a bit steep to be charged the same for the Continental buffet as for the cooked. No bar in the hotel. No fridge in the room. Beware the road into the village and up to the hotel - there is no pavement so you will be moving very slowly to avoid hitting pedestrians.

Breakfast was excellent, hotel was beautifully unique and full of character and charm. Grounds are pristine and surroundings peaceful. We stayed in one of the delightful cottages which was a perfect combination of luxury and quirk.

Although the room was beautiful, there wasn’t anywhere to put a suitcase and the closet space was not sufficient to unpack so we had to keep closing and opening suitcase on bed which was a nuisance. Also, the tea/coffee facilities in the room were minimal compared to other uk hotels of the same standard (no hot chocolate?!)

Perfect setting combined with a very nice room. (private parking at location). Key words here are ‘Luxurious’ and ‘Location, Location, Location!’

Didn’t check the fine print and where located in the cottages (a very little) further down the road (own fault!). Upgraded (+€) at the reception desk for a room in the manor itself. So from a low to a high. -> Price for cottage rooms seems to much £ to me..

Room was lovely - didnt like all the stairs Loved The Castle Inn - food amazing and lovely servers

You are missing a sign at the bottom of the hill so we couldnt find you. The golf club gave us the wrong directions so you need to give them some instruction. Minor thing but both the sausages and bacon were a bit tasteless at breakfast.

It's dreamy. Nothing else needed to be said. There's a WOW inside u will come out out unintentionally wherever u look ... charming by all means.

Nothing at all. Only one thing people with disabilities may find it hard to reach some rooms as it's designed with lots of stairs. But I'm sure there'd be other suitable rooms.

The staff!!! They were uniformly outstanding!! I can’t say enough about their friendliness, professionalism nd personal touch. Many remembered me after one meeting ( or they had great prompts…either way I felt very special!). My room was huge and charming.

A refrigerator in room and maybe a little nook to buy sundries or snacks.
