Very friendly and welcoming to my pet and me. Lovely quite and cosy country feeling with a roaring fire in the hearth. Good warm bedroom with comfortable bed. Fabulous dinner. The menu was different from many hostelries, which was a pleasure. I had the beef and mushroom with mash potato, proper creamed mashed potato.

The accommodation is set in a quant village of tiny lanes. Beware, there is not a car park and it was not possible to park outside on the narrow roads on this occasion. An email regarding parking came after booking telling me I could park at the village hall which was quite some distance away, uphill from the accommodation. Not so good if you have luggage a dog and dog bed to carry back down, the hill and on this occasion, icy lane. Then up the hill again in the morning. When I checked out, I did leave my luggage behind to pick up, once I had returned to my car. Beware of the school run!

I booked the small double room. It is small but i knew that and it was perfect for my requirements and really good value. The room was very clean with high quality bedding, good tea and coffee facilities. The ensuite was very clean and the shower powerful. I ate in the pub on the evening i arrived and the food was fantastic. A continental breakfast was the option for breakfast. A little pricey for £10 but that is the only negative. An excellent pub full of character. I would highly recommend.

The only negative was the price for the continental breakfast.

The ease of check-in, the building's character, the quality and taste of the food was exceptional, as was the attentive service. Our two dogs were made to be very welcome. We would love to return.

Limescale in the kettle, cafetiere needed replacing (coffee sachets would be fine enough), one towel had a large stain on it. These are very minor points mentioned, as everything else about the Lamb Inn was great!

The room was very clean and didn't smell of Dog at all even though it was a dog friendly room. There was a very comfortable large double bed as well as a futon sofa with blankets. There were tea and coffee facilities and cookies. We ate our dinner outside and the food was just fantastic! Best meal we have had out in a long time. I had the aubergine with roast veg and my husband had pulled pork mac and cheese. The gin menu was great.

The garden was in progress and so some of it was off limits. The so called dog garden was also a children's play area but it wasn't secure. There were plenty of lovely walks locally and the outdoor dining area was lovely so this wasn't a problem. I imagine once the outside is finished it will be lovely.

Its an absolute privilege to be able to stay in a traditional English pub, given the current climate and number of pubs closing. Traditional pub, open fires, great beer, clean functional rooms, and the food is very very good comfort food! Its not a luxury stay, but, if you are looking for history, great hosts, relaxing stay look no further!

Nothing!!!!

There is a lovely friendly vibe about this village pub. The dinner was excellent, our room (no 3) was spacious with a beautiful curvy cob wall, the shower loo and basin newly refurbished and the bed generous. We also appreciated details like real ground coffee and a good selection of T bags. The people there were very welcoming.

two tiny gripes - the shower in the morning wasn’t very warm and the teacups were a bit small for our liking. The pub is dog friendly but this was not a problem - the dogs were friendly!

The room and bathroom were not huge, but very well appointed. I loved the fresh ground coffee and cafetiere in the room. Dinner was very good - lovely vegetables with my lamb, and good cheese afterwards. The beer was excellent. I liked the fact that local children (with their parents!) were welcome and well catered for with games ( hysterically funny game of Scrabble between siblings had me trying to control giggles).

I would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast. The continental breakfast was an extra, and made it quite an expensive B&B accommodation.

Plenty of choice for breakfast which was presented beautifully. Cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit juice, warm pastries, tea/coffee. Selection of fresh fruit, toast and jam/marmalade. All this was served in a lovely sunny room by friendly staff. We were visiting family a few miles away so the location was perfect. We even completed the heritage tour of the village which was recommended by the Inn.

No need to change anything

Large, comfortable room with all the necessary equipment. Dinner: very well-cooked, delicious food, friendly service and attentive. Good-sized portions. Breakfast: Good continental style breakfast with ample portions and great coffee. Very dog-friendly and clearly a well-supported pub. Will certainly recommend (and have) and go again. Just the right break en route to Cornwall - a frequent trip.

Lovely old pub, good atmosphere. Movie nights in the function room twice a month. Room was very nice and staff were great. Food was outstanding.. absolutely brilliant and some nice ales and spirits

Although bedding was clean our bottom sheet had a huge mouldy patch! Maybe a little more dusting around lights etc. Hairs in shower tray! Some of the 'four in a bed' tv show boo boos! 😂 But still had a great stay 👍
