We enjoyed our stay. Had one night with booking.com so didn't have breakfast. Had one night direct with the hotel and breakfast was included. It is definitely worth paying the extra for. All very freshly cooked and good varied choice too. The room was lovely and a fan was included as it was very hot. The hotel has had a refurb and is very stylish. All staff were friendly and helpful

The only issue we had was the hotel not taking cash. No where does it state that it is card only. We did struggle with this and found that if we didn't have the correct amount of change it had to be rounded up. Apparently this has been company policy since covid and hasn't been relaxed. They did have to take our cash as that is all we had. It did work out in the end but chose not to eat at the hotel and just had drinks instead.

I love the atmosphere of the hotel, the design and decor. Great that we had a sea view .. brought a happy tear to my eye ! The staff were friendly and responsive to any queries. V pleased we found a car park space easily.

It would have been better if the colleague on duty at lunch time on 29/8/23 had known what was actually on the menu, we were given a depleted menu, chose a sea food salad as no Cromer crab or sandwiches were apparently available …. I discovered that this was not the case. Not a world problem but was a disappointing start to our stay. Not the end of the world though 😁

A lovely setting with great sea views which is what we wanted. We booked last minute and everything was ready by the time we arrived. The evening meal of Roast beef and all the trimmings was delicious with fabulous proportions(well done chef). Breakfast was substantial and the sausages where particularly delicious.

I thought it was a bit over priced as breakfast wasn't included and although comfy the room was a bit of an awkward shape but as it was only for 1 night it was bearable so we did decline the kind offer to move if it wasn't suitable. The lift stank of stale cigarette smoke which was a bit off putting.

Room had sea views and the hotel had bags of character. There is a restaurant so your evening dining is covered and the breakfasts are amazing. BIG HEADS UP: by the breakfast the night before or make sure it's included in the price, else it will be twice as expensive (as I found.out!). Really.liked the place and would definitely stay again.

Not knowing how.much more expensive the breakfast was if you had.left.it.till the morning to decide. It would have been nice if staff had said, "It.will be twice as much if you pay in the morning", rather than, "if you leave it until the morning, you will only pay for what you have ". For the price I.paid for the room on booking.com, breakfast should have been included. The hotel rates were cheaper that Booking.com,somay have been better to contact the hotel directly 🤔.

Large Victorian hotel but has been well maintained and furnished for modern days needs. Staff went over and above to offer secure bike storage and provide me with fast track breakfast to get me on the way. Room, whilst relatively small is equipped with several double and usb sockets, the most I have ever seen in one room. Nicely laid out bar that doubles as restaurant and breakfast. Good sea view 40 yards away.

Smallish room and tight en-suite, but bed decent size and comfy.

I arrived and to my surprise was upgraded as the hotel was busy during the Christmas period. The staff on reception and house keeping were very conscientious and open. My room had a fantastic view over looking the sea, it brought a lot of peace and joy. The only downside I felt was the restaurant. Think i felt it was understaffed and made the environment a little stressy. The main waiter guy did his best to hold it together (hats off.) Also the pino grigio was over priced. All in all I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. I’ll definitely think of asking for that sea view and comfy bed, with a modern en-suite again. Thank you

Nice bedroom with a view of the sea. Good Breakfasts. Well placed in Cromer for walks. Totally enjoyed our stay altogether

We couldn't get or keep BBC1 or 2 on the television. We liked to keep up with the news and weather, particularly with the BBC. However it wasn't a major issue and was told it was because of the windy conditions.

the character of the hotel and sea views were great. The staff were helpful and polite.. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The bathroom was modern and very clean. We enjoyed a very nice dinner in the restaurant.

our room was a bit tired, the curtains very thin and old fashioned, the chest of drawers and bedside cabinet had seen better day.. we had a long wait for breakfast and a bit disappointing, poached egg was hard, tomato not cooked properly and bacon fatty. There was no orange juice out and the fruit salad was low the staff did replenish when this was pointed out.. It was really busy and the staff did their best.

Exceptional .... I stayed at the Cliftonville for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. We were upgraded to the best room in the hotel. I had an exceptional view of the ocean. It was very relaxing and a newly refurbished room. The bath was joyous nice and big. The bed was very comfortable and our room was peaceful. I had breakfast and dinner at the resturaunt downstairs. I am a fussy eater but I had no complaints. It was certainly michelin star dining. Great local food and wonderful service. Thank you so much!

It is a beautiful hotel. Fantastic history and architecture. We had a side room over looking cromer pier and the church. Amazing view. The room was small. But had a large double bed. Staff were amazing. Very friendly. Had a drink in the bar in the evening which was nice and then at the last minute opted for breakfast which was £12 each and excellent value. As could choose what we wanted off the menu. We had to park in the main pay and display opposite the hotel. Overall a really nice stay. Would visit again.

The building is old so expect noise. We were first floor near the lift and main hallway. So lots of creaks and doors slamming. Also noise from the room above. Could hear their TV and them talking etc. We had a small double, fairly recently refurbished. When you open the shower doors it hits directly onto the toilet. So have to be very careful not to break it. Also no shelf to put any wash bag either in shower or shower room. Only 1 bedside cabinet. Nothing major.
