Great value for money, the room had a fantastic view of the city and, considering the rooms are above a pub on the corner of a busy junction, it was incredibly quiet.

The pillows were so soft they might as well not have been there. We ended up having to stuff a towel into the pillow case to give it a bit of shape. We found the room on the top floor very warm. You cannot adjust the AC manually to emit cold air, which was a bit frustrating, it relies on a staff member adjusting your room settings. That isn't made clear at check in so worth raising to avoid late night trips down to a busy pub to find someone to help.

Location was great, the staff very friendly and accommodating, the room was excellent and facilities great....what's not to like. We stayed close to family, so location was paramount. Couldn't recommend it more and we'll be booking again shortly. We travelled by car this time but will be on the train next, so the venues proximity to the station is excellent.

The only downside, parking. Luckily we have family close by so could leave our car in a safer location. We travelled by car this time due to the rail strikes. We'll be on the train next time. Perhaps the venue could discuss some concessional rates to park in the shops car park to the rear, or perhaps in adjacent streets. Didn't know if it was residents parking only in the adjacent areas.

The rooms were stylish, clean and comfortable. The staff were brilliant, truly accommodating as we prepared for and celebrated a family wedding, using the function room for the party. Very impressed with delicious food for 20 of us even though we were running a bit late and they were still serving to the restaurant downstairs. Also cleared the room quickly and efficiently to make space for the evening party. It is well located with many London treats just nearby.

Be prepared for traffic/pedestrian noise. You are close to central London.

We've stayed there a couple of times as its on a direct bus route to my brother in Sydenham. There's a lovely big park opposite the hotel which is ideal for walking the kids or the dog!!! The hotel is dog friendly which is lovely. There was an issue with our room on the 4th night of our stay and this was sorted immediately. We were upgraded to a very nice room and given breakfast on the house for the rest of our stay. The train station to get you into central London is a 5 minute walk away. All in all, the Westow is the perfect place for us!

Lovely Victorian style pub hotel which has been newly renovated. Great location in Crystal Palace - a short walk to either Crystal Palace or Gipsy Hill train stations to get into central London. The room exceed my expectation - tastefully furnished with an incredibly comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nothing - everything was great. While there are a lot of steps to the rooms at the top of the hotel (there's no lift), it didn't bother us. Everything was manageable, even with suitcases. It was a pleasure to stay here!

A very comfortable and relaxed hotel/pub. The staff were very helpful and welcoming particularly Nick who helped with luggage on arrival and booking a taxi in the evening. A very enjoyable stay.

One tiny gripe. As a vegetarian I enjoyed a full cooked vegetarian breakfast but the sausages were the type consisting of mashed up vegetables in a sausage shape. There are many excellent vegetarian and vegan sausages available in the UK often soya based and a much better substitute for us veggies and vegans.

Westow House was outstanding with large rooms, fully renovated, some with couchs, others table and chairs, split system air-conditioning, great views, good restaurants, excellent food. They have a lovely outdoor eating area and quiz nights, as well as a children's room on weekends. There is a lovely function room utilised as a work centre during the day and overflow at night. Close to train stations, and a bus stop outside. 25 minutes to London on one train and they run constantly. There is an abundance of convenience stores, restaurants and general shopping around and we felt very safe at night. The Crystal Palace Gardens are across the road with a popular Cafe.

The stairs were good exercise but the staff were helpful if you weren't demanding

Our room was a great size and the bed really comfortable. The air-conditioner was excellent as was the shower, with nice shampoos etc. Tea and coffee were generous. The hotel has a really nice atmosphere with an ousided eating area as well as inside dining and staff were very helpful and friendly. It is close to two railway stations and opposite Crystal Palace Park. There is a small supermarket nearby and a variety of restaurants in the surrounding area.

There is no lift so getting suitcases upstairs is hard work. Having chairs/couch in the room would be good.

Breakfast excellent. We didn't have to choose from the menu, but were able to order what we wanted. Our room, Lark, was on the third floor and offered a fine view. Staff were most accommodating. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. The railway station was a five-minute walk away; the bus terminal was across the road.

We liked everything. However, prospective guests might like to know there is no lift. You have to be spry enough to get yourselves and your luggage up the stairs. Moreover, the ground floor pub and first floor entertainment rooms are very lively. We didn't hear much noise on the third floor, but can't speak for the second.

Fantastic location in the centre of Crystal Palace - near the bus station and a short walk from the train station, in amongst all the shops, cafes and restaurants. There was an event on at the pub and I was worried it would be loud in our room, but we didn't hear a single thing! Our room was comfy and the bathroom was a great size with a lovely bath.

It was a little bit confusing where to check in - I was waiting for a while because staff were trying to deal with people in the pub and the restaurant bit. My partner arrived at Westow after it had closed for the night - he was let in by the night security guard, but that process (e.g. where to go, how to get in) was confusing too.
