London Croydon Aerodrome Hotel, BW Signature Collection

The hotel is not far from city center, transport very reliable.Staff very nice and professional. Always willing to help. From the reception desk, to restaurant, to cleaners,,, service is excellent.Alim was a an allrounder, helping with laggage, taking my pictures, serve at the restaurant. Trisha always smiling and willing to help, also taking my pics. All the staff at the restaurant serve with a smile.

I was a little disturbed by the builders because I couldn't open my room windows and curtains sometimes in case I was coming out of the bathroom and naked 🙊

The accommodation was lovely the rooms are large and fully equipped, the bar is always open and the food was lovely, I didn't eat breakfast but when leaving each morning I could see and smell and very much regret not getting one, I will be next time I stay 100% the car parks handy and ample and the surrounding are plenty of food place very local and a 24hour petrol garage a 3 min walk away (Very handy) the staff at this location are lovely very welcoming, friendly will be staying again as I do when in Croydon

The only thing to better this place would be a pool 😊

Got a very welcome free upgrade due to this being a special occasion. The room was comfortable and spacious with lots of 'extras' like a fridge, fan and iron/board. The bathroom was well kitted out with plenty of towels.

The onsite carpark which had signs stating for 'guest use only' had to be paid for. The bathroom had a broken tile and other loose ones. The breakfast area should be larger. We had to wait for a table as there was a very large party in already. The toilets near the reception area had one stall out of order - not a good look. No biscuits with tea/coffee making facilities.

Hotel itself is really pretty, clean, staff are amazing, breakfast is good, and they have a lovely reception where you can watch tv/ chill/ work, even after you check out. They were very welcoming, would definitely book again! :) There was a fire alarm at 6 am and we had firefighters coming to the hotel, this happened really quick and effective and they reassured us it was safe to go back to our hotel rooms.

The only thing I wasn't happy with was that my air conditioning was broken and I was unable to stop it, therefore it was a bit chilly overnight. I didn't mention this to the receptionists but I am sure they would have fixed this for me.

This hotel is currently undergoing renovation with a few niggles as would be expected and represents an era when it was the site of London airport before the advent of the modern airports of today. The location was close to the set where I was filming. Check in was easy. Breakfast was superb with a wide selection of English and Continental options. The staff are very friendly, helpful and approachable. I booked a single room, which was basic and clean. The shower had a decent amount of pressure. Lots of large super stores nearby.

The drive-in entrance needs to be lit. The classic 1920s lights were not on and I missed the entrance a few times. The hotel desperately need luggage trolleys. Parking was an extra £8 per day and was sometimes overbooked.

i was in Croydon to attend a technical school to upgrade my electrician qualifications. booked this hotel with little research ,and based on price which included breakfast . i was not disappointed. great fresh breakfast good comfortable room. great bath and shower, all clean and new enough lots of branded fast food places nearby , can order any food delivered to hotel sufficient parking polite professional staff that would normally be associated with a much higher price hotel i checked out 3 hrs late and only recieved smiles from the staff

this hotel is very populare with groups of northern builders staying here however i enjoyed there friendly attitude and accents . there were zero problems

Staff was great, breakfast was wonderful, no issues with the hotel itself

if you are traveling to london and want to visit places in Central London it was a real issue to get there if you are using public transport, to get to picadilly circus for instance you need to take a bus to the train station, train to next station and change lines for anothe train, takes you about an hour and a half to get there, then the same back

The room and bathroom were small but bed was comfortable enough. We loved the photos along the corridors showing the history of the hotel and old airport. We had dinner there which was pretty good

A fire alarm went off just after midnight so we started to evacuate then it stopped halfway down (we were on the 4th floor) there didn’t appear to be a PA system and my husband went outside and spoke to a fireman to ask if we had the all clear to go to our rooms. he was told it was a false alarm and we could go back in. there was no communication from the hotel

The place had a lovely vibe and was beautifully situated. The room was a good size and had an ensuite, and the breakfast was excellent. The bedding was freshly laundered and the beds were comfy

The room needed a paint touch up.in some areas. Only one net hung from the large window so it wasn't fully covered and their was scaffolding outside our window. The curtains were fully lined, so when shut full privacy was obtained. The bathroom had afew mould marks on the ceiling, and the vent appeared rusty, but overall for the price it was acceptable..

Venue and location are lovely and handy for what we needed, trip to Epsom races.

We arrived early, well before check in. Although we were offered space to store our luggage, the only facilities to change our clothes and freshen up where the toilets. It would have been useful to have a private room to do this particularly as we were there as a family and all of our luggage was in one suitcase which we had to open and scramble through in the corridor outside of the toilets. Not ideal after a 5 hour car journey.
