Novotel London Greenwich

The room was almost perfect, staff was fabulous, kind and helpful. The DLR/trains were some steps away. The TV was bigger than in my home. The rolling out table was also a great idea. Greenwich sites are quite close, around 10 mins of walk, a grocery store is even closer.

We were there for a week, the only issue we have is the relatively low number of furniture to put clothes in. Regarding travel times be prepared, that DLR takes around 20 minutes to get into change to most of the underground lines (but there or earlier you can change to all important lines toward the inner city). Trains are more rare, but they can get you quickly to the inner parts of the city with some underground change possibilities (London Bridge). So it is not perfect, but still in the very good range.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were happy with our room which was well equipped, the location was very convenient, everything was almost perfect. We particularly wanted to have a room which had a safe in it. Our room had a safe so we were happy.

There was nothing that we didn't like. However, comparing the breakfast buffet area at this hotel, with another hotel in the chain that we had stayed at, this was smaller and tended to get congested during busy times. We provided our feedback to management, who assured us that they were aware of the issue and that plans were in place to enlarge and open out the breakfast buffet area which would resolve the issue. Our discussion with the management about this issue was cordial and positive. Overall we were happy, and no doubt will use Novotel hotels again in the future.

Novotel Greenwich is a good hotel with all modern amenities. The location is one train stop away from London Bridge via Deptford. However, our plans were disrupted due to a railway strike during our visit. Nonetheless, the hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle of London, and personally, I prefer the suburbs over the busy city center. The adjacent area is calm and quiet, and there are grocery shops conveniently located near the hotel. The railway station and bus stop are just a half-minute walk away. The hotel offers a proper English breakfast buffet that is highly recommended and worth trying at least once. The food is delicious. The restaurant and front office executives, along with other staff members, are polite and helpful. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Excellent location, 5 mins from Greenwich centre, right next to train station for rail and DLR. Great views of planes coming in at Heathrow too, not too loud but exciting for the kids to watch while grown ups are sorting out the day. Nice decor in hotel, felt like a nice place to hang out. Breakfast was divine! Early check in cost £30 but reception desk suggested joining the Novotel Club online there and then for free, which made early check in free.

You need a room key to use the toilets in the lobby The toilet in the room was separated from the main bathroom so was a pain to go so far to wash your hands afterwards. Sink in bathroom very much made for right-handers. It was a bit awkward for me as a left-hander as I kept having to cross my body to turn the tap on and there wasn't enough room to stand comfortably as it was so close to the wall on the left

Location fabulous. Lots of cafés and pubs/ restaurants and shops nearby and short distance to train station and pier to get to Central London. Lots to see and do in Greenwich and hotel is lovely. Hotel has very nice interior and entrance (didn't use other facilities so cannot comment). Family room bit on the small size but clean and adequate for how long we stayed. Also I let the hotel know in advance it was our anniversary and they surprised us with a lovely cake and anniversary card in our room on arrival - a lovely touch and greatly appreciated.

Family room is a little small and felt a bit cramped once we got the suitcase in. (We were family of 4). Check in was polite but short and sweet! Wasn't offered breakfast (we booked room only 2 night stay). Or informed of the facilities the hotel offered.

Breakfast was really good and the customer service. Location close to a train station makes the difference.

After reservation was confirmed, an additional message came with additional costs such as: - Parking: £18 per day. It was announced as Parking available, but no information about additional costs was provide during reservation. - Dog: £15 per day. It was announced as Dog Friendly facility, but no information about additional costs was provided during reservation. - Breakfast was additional as well. At least this item was informed during reservation.

The room had a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. Very clean and somewhat modern furniture. The breakfast buffet was varied and very tasty and the price was quite good, compared to similar options in London. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Just beside the Greenwich train station and we could park our car in the (somewhat limited) underground garage.

The window in our room was directly looking to the train railways, so we could hear every train arriving and departing. They didn't run the whole night though (or we got used to the noise). The WC and the wash basin were in different parts of the room, which was sometimes a bit unpractical. The price for parking your car as a guest was 25 pounds, which we find very high.

The location was just right for us as we love Greenwich and its handy for the tube too. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff were helpful and friendly. The bedroom had everything we wanted, a separate shower and bath, with a separate toilet too. Plenty of coffee/ tea and a fridge for our own drinks. Plenty of space too. We benefitted from the underground car park and were able to get a charging spot too.

There was only one lift working, which couldn't be helped, but we often ended up using the stairs (we were 3rd floor!). Also, the bed wasn't the most comfortable for us, but again, that's a personal preference, and it can't always be perfect. Payment for parking was quite a lot per day, but you pay for the practicality and location.

Very good Hotel, the staff was very friendly always focus on help us. Excelent facilities and room with a lot of comfy pillows, bathroom full equiped, towels, etc. Breaksfast was excellent with nice options and service very good. Hotel is close to DLR station connecting to London bridge in 12 min and surrondings areas with lot of restaurants and Pubs. Good option to stay in London. They had a present to my daugther birthday, great value point. Thanks for all.

The breakfast service was beautiful just like being in a restaurant so the hot food we ordered from a menu brought to us whilst we devoured our starters of fruit salad yogurt etc. I like that there was much variety for vegetarians even vegans, a rarity in my experience. Normally priority is given to the non veg population where we veg are treated like 2nd class citizens waiting around for our veg sausages to be prepared but here it was wonderful. I would book again. Staff were helpful. Location was close to the heart of the village next door to a train station, steps away from tube stop. Our room was clean & I liked the loo separate so 2ppl can get ready together. It had a simple gym if you had energy left at the end of the day for a quick workout with plenty towels.

By the gym there was a sauna/steam room provided but it would have been better had they worked. That I could have relaxed in at the end of each long day exploring. The pull out bed was uncomfortable & I could definitely say spring was not in the air but on my mattress, not in it.
