We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 day stay at the Greyhound, it is situated in a beautiful area, and a few minutes drive from Hever Castle, Chartwell, Ightham Moat, and many other places well worth a visit. We stayed in room 1, spotlessly clean and with its own balcony overlooking the garden. We ate at the Greyhound 5 nights during our stay, and the food was fantastic - we've stayed in so many lovely B and B's over the years and I can honestly say the meals at the Greyhound were probably the best we've had! The bellypork and steak and kidney pudding were cooked to perfection, and my husband said his sea bass was exceptional... The owners Caroline and her husband are so welcoming and friendly, Caroline would give us helpful tips re places to visit each morning, and was always interested in how our day had gone... All in all, we had such a lovely time and didn't want to come home - we'll definitely be visiting again!
Having to leave!

It was a very relaxing property out in the country side. The room was very nice, and they did an express check in for us so we just had to go to our room and the key was waiting for us inside. The dinner was great. Just a very small, very simple little place.
They recently re-branded so there is no bar/pub anymore. There is just a restaurant, so people pretty much keep to themselves. Its a fair walk from town too so if you wanted to back up to one of the pubs it 15 min or so on some traditional English country roads. There might be some trails though, I am no sure. In the end we went to bed, slept well, and we were off to the next stop the following day after a nice breakfast!

The property was lovely and our room was bright, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and all the Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Well situated for the historical properties we wanted to visit nearby and we really enjoyed our stay!
The name 'Greyhound Inn' suggests a premises open to the general public, which was not the case. This led to some confusion on our part, as we arrived expecting to drink in the bar and eat in the restaurant if we wished to on the day. Both of these were closed and we ended up driving miles to pick up provisions.

Looked lovely from the road, nice gardens to the front. Lovely little touches, room nice, well lit and warm when we arrived on a cold, wet night. Room spotless, well decorated, nice accessories for a war, welcome. Fluffy towels, nice toiletries, plenty hot water. Very quiet. Beautiful views over garden and over fields. We turned our heating off to save the hosts energy costs and help the environment whilst we were out during the day but it was turned back on for us just before we arrived home. That was a lovely touch for when we arrived back cold and wet after a long day. Very handy for the local station, possible to walk, easy drive, plenty parking. Lots of other restaurants short drives away as is Hever Castle. Restaurant was very quiet when we ate there but the welcome was first class, the host was available but didn't feel that we were being watched or hurried. Varied menu, happy to understand any allergies, preferences, happy to adapt as food cooked fresh. Breakfast cooked to order, good quality ingredients, plenty choice ( except full fat milk !!) but the yoghurt is yummy. Boiled eggs cooked to perfection. No dogs, Thank you. Can highly recommend. Self check in, can access the property at any time with code.
It is hard to think but if I was being really picky I prefer a bath, hard to shower with out getting hair wet and pillows a bit hard but that is personal preference and someone else will prefer that. Hard for a host to cope with all that people want.

Very polite welcome. We had a very nice spacious room on the ground floor. The dinner tasted excellent and can be described as "upscale cuisine". Breakfast was also very tasty and sufficient. Both the service at dinner and the owner at breakfast were very friendly and accommodating. For dinner, a table reservation is recommended in any case, as there are only a few tables available. If we come to this area again, we will stay at the Greyhound Inn again. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Spacious, clean and comfortable room with en-suite. There was a lovely little garden with chairs literally just outside the entrance to our room where we could sit and enjoy the evening air. There was a very welcome goodie box waiting for us in our room with a small bottle of complimentary Prosecco and some sweet snacks which was a lovely treat.
Unfortunately, we booked on a staff training day so the Greyhound itself was closed and therefore we were not able to have an evening meal at the pub which was a shame because we saw the menu and it looked really good.

Great communication before our stay. Lovely quite room with everything we needed for a one night stay. The breakfast was fantastic and the hosts were very friendly and engaging. I would , without a doubt, recommend it and also stay again.
Really liked it all, but just a minor suggestion for the room, it could do with bigger cups or mugs for a cuppa, as I say a minor thing and obviously just our preference to have a bigger brew!

Caroline was the perfect host. She couldn't have been more helpful. The Greyhound is exquisite..the fairytale English country pub in the most idyllic location. Furnishings so appropriate, such a comfortable atmosphere, with NO loud music constantly keeping you company! The balcony rooms are spacious with excellent comfy bed and bathroom with balcony with lovely table and chairs to get the most of the rural retreat and all just 5 minutes away from the delights of Hever Castle and Penshurst place for Tudor History fans! This place is a total gem! Thank you Caroline for making us so welcome.

We enjoyed a feeling of peace and tranquillity that we had throughout our stay. The Greyhound is a relatively small hotel with only a handful of rooms. The small restaurant servers predominantly the residents but with just a couple of other tables. The food was excellent and our room was furnished to a very good standard along with an interesting variety of art work displayed throughout premises.
