The breakfast was excellent with all parts properly cooked, unlike some chain hotels I have been to. The Landlady/Manager showed a geninue commitment to making my stay pleasant. The location was chosen for its proximity to a weeding venue and was a nice village but no local shop(s), although I did not walk far from the Wheatsheaf. Note the Pub is a listed building and can not get planning permission for double glazing, hence noises such as people departing late (at clsoing time) may be an issue. Overall it was value for money on what was 2000 Guineas day at Newmarket.

Great staff, super helpful. Roxa and Michael were brilliant. Enjoyed my stay thoroughly and would book again.

Pub downstairs can get a bit noisy. I stayed here during the jubilee, so it was a bit more lively then the average weekend I guess. Bear it in mind though if you're booking.

What did I like? Everything. The location is easy to find. The room was very clean and spacious, the staff were super friendly, the food was excellent and as a bonus there was real ale on tap in the pub. I will definitely stay here again.

The car park could be bigger but parking on the road is permitted so wasn't causing any issues to me.

Great experience at the Wheatsheaf, welcoming and friendly staff, comfortable room with great shower. Had an evening meal which was excellent and great value. Breakfast was full cooked and again very good value. Location is easy to find, in a quiet village very close to Newmarket. It was easy to park Highly recommend this lovely small hotel.

Good price for breakfast.

As rooms are above a busy pub as was to be expected a bit of noise, however the first night wasn't a good night sleep due to the locals outstaying their welcome. The Landlady was very apologetic and it did not happen the second night.

Very good value for money. Close enough to Newmarket for the racing. Breakfast is extra but that gives you the choice of eating there or going out. Very friendly hosts.

It is a pub so can be a little noisy at weekends.

It is a lovely place with a very large garden, and as i always travel with my dog Molly it's ideal, the staff will also watch her while I'm packing or if i go to Newmarket. Roxa & Michael (the hosts)make me feel like one of the family & not just a guest

I can't think of anything ù
